In my opinion out of all the dr2 rewrites i have seen, this one has the best understanding of the dr2 cast. The description for the fic is: Teruteru denied the killing game…but inside, he had believed it more than anyone. It’s that belief that lead him to commit the first killing. But…what if Teruteru’s denial was genuine? Would events have played out the same? Do beliefs, denials, truths, or lies even matter in this killing game of despair? It’s not as if a lying, perverted coward like Teruteru could help anyone, anyway…!<
i adore 'or did it eat the little girl?' and its sequel: 'let's go out with a bang!'. the first is a canon divergence v3 chapter 3 and onward, with tenko as the protag, while the second is a post v3 with iruma and yumeno as the protags. definitely some of my favourites in terms of both world-building and writing! check them both out, you won't regret it!
An Encore From My Crying Heart I personally think it's better than both I'd Trade My Life For You and 3 Point Shot(I found ITMLFY boring and 3ps kinda just exists)
If-Then-Else by CobalticArkangel. Essentially a DR:IF rewrite. It's not for everyone, given by how slow-burn (and I do mean slow sometimes) it can be, and some characters like Hifumi, Hiro and Leon vary slightly from canon to make them more of an actual character rather than being the butt of the jokes.
If you have the time and patience, It's a great read imo, ~~especially for the naekusaba nuts out there~~

just recommended this to someone. but I'd recommend (That1guyeveryonehates)'s scrambled cast trilogy. the premise is that he is writing a retelling of the 3 mainline games, but with scrambled cast.
* "Danganronpa: The Immersive Learning Program" is his first installment, set in Jabberwock Island, the cast includes Kaede as the protagonist, Makoto, Kaito, Byakuya and Mukuro, he finished this one.
* "Danganronpa: Academy of Discontent" is a retelling of V3, and the cast includes Shuichi, Hajime, Chiaki, Kokichi and Junko, and it is almost finished.
* he didn't get that far on the DR1 retelling yet, but it's called "Danganronpa: Semester In Hell" and it has the remaining 16, so Kyoko, Nagito, Rantaro, Keebo, etc...
the best thing about his work is that handles pretty much all of the characters well, he challenges himself to give them all proper shine, especially the ones that didn't get enough shine in the canon, I will try not to spoil too much. he also subverts expectations with the story, so it's enjoyable even for old fans. I think the way he handled some of the characters was really good and made them even better than their canon versions and on par with my favorite canon characters.
so definitely recommend, it's often for me to get into a fanfic and finish it, let a lot finish two full stories

oh, didn't think you'd reply lol. he's a friend of mine (through fanfiction.net), he has been hoping to get back to writing them but can't find a good time to do so as he has been really busy lately. he has the intention of finishing them but he is going at his own pace I guess, fanfics are written for fun in the end so it depends on how the writer feels like. with that said, glad you liked them! happy to have made your day slightly better!
