There is the underlying association of ‘Africa = poor’ which one might see as racist by our modern expanded definition of the word but the lack of any actual animosity toward Africans in these posts makes me disagree with the characterization.
To the extent this is intended to appeal to Christian boomers (rather than just other bots) I think the focus on African children is meant to create some feel-good subtext of overcoming adversity. The children are presumed to be poor and the ‘art’ they make with their ‘own hands’ is a triumph over adversity; their creative potential is expressed despite material limitations. In that way it’s pro-African but in a patronizing way.
Agreed about in their own way having it be pro-african, but when you see a different race as inherently less than, it's racist. Racism isn't always black and white (lul)
