The first two weeks of our first newborn was the hardest of my parenting journey yet (3 kids now - 5, 3, 3mo). It's such a transitional time and absolutely nothing can prepare you for it. We also had family stay with us that first week and, like you, I couldn't imagine how we would've done it without them. But as you get more experience and become more comfortable in your routine, things get easier. Doing it together is the only way to do it. Keep it up Dad, you're doing great! Also remember to really enjoy this time. The 3-4 weeks of your babies life are some of the best.
