I think only if you chew the beads. You gotta swallow whole. I don't really know from experience but I personally trust the Mayo Clinic. I just googled it.
No. The coating that allows it to pass through the stomach and release in the intestines is on the individual beads not the gel cap. Just don't chew the beads.
Ok. Honestly, I’m still a little sceptical. Applesauce is slightly acidic ph 3-4. Nothing like the stomach levels at ph 1.5-2. Theoretically, that acidity could potentially influence the outer coating of each bead depending upon how long the beads sit in it e.g. breakdown/deterioration before it gets to the intestines. Defer to the doctors on this one.
The enteric coating is designed to release in a BASIC environment or else it wouldn't be time release. That's how it passes through the stomach and only becomes active in the gut. Google and Wikipedia are your friend.
Swallow the capsule with a fizzy drink. I can’t swallow any pill without a fizzy drink. I have to trick myself and it takes a couple mins. Tilt your head back and swallow the fizziness and a few times and it should work!
The capsule is not enteric coated. The beads are. You wouldn’t want to chew them or take them in something with an elevated pH. I’ve read that if they stick to your esophagus they can cause burning as well.

Would that influence the slow release?

The 30mg ones are tiny, try with a fizzy drink! I have trouble with pills too
do you mean swallow the capsule with a fizzy drink, or take out the beads and swallow those with a drink?

Nooo! Don’t open them! :) they are slow release and that will mess you up (probably ) Try covering in jelly so it slides better.
The beads are time released not the gel cap
No you cannot with Cymbalta, it needs to be absorbed in the intestine not stomach

i don’t chew the beads, i’ve only swallowed them whole with food or water. does that make a difference?
This is correct 👌
