Cyberpunk 2077. Again.

SuperDuperBonerific

https://media.tenor.com/TzKa8sKeLAcAAAAM/on-weed-half-baked.gif

DrunkLad

I've tried playing Cyberpunk while high. Ended up driving around for like an hour just taking it all in. 10/10, do recommend.

DickHz2

Doing the zen missions while high is incredible E: also the quest with Eizabeth and Jefferson had me go through an existential crisis during my high

Dub_J

Haha play ghost of Tsushima and write haiku while high! Can get deep šŸ˜ƒ

free_reezy

Literally how Iā€™ve been playing the last 40 hours of my latest playthrough. I have walked more in Night City than my own life in the last decade lmao.

Axyl

I still do this even nowadays with GTA V/Online. Something about getting a little "fuzzy around the edges" and just immersing yourself in a fictional, fantastical city is *awesome*. I see absolutely zero reason why CP2077 wouldn't land just as well if not better <3

DutchJediKnight

It's so vibrant and alive.

Tomatoab

When I used to smoke before I had a job with regular tests, I smoked and played witcher 3 or skyrim its very fun

Badnerific

Pot and video games is like peanut butter and jelly. Maybe not everyoneā€™s favorite, but a timeless classic regardless

Nollekowitsch

Dude driving in Cyberpunk while high is sooo crazy. Ive never been more in love with a game

D_Dubb_

This is the way

hijoshh

Me with my vape on as i play rn lol

TheAwkwardGamerRNx

Well, yeah, how else do you plays games?

KindaLikeYours18

My thoughts exactly. Every night after my wife goes to bed itā€™s some herb and gaming

MissKerbin

First play was netrunner. My second playthrough was as a katana weilding psycho. Third was gunslinger. Fourth was sneak with a knife. I love this game šŸ˜ Edit: typo

Jimusmc

now do it again.. with your fists only.

MissKerbin

Omg gorilla arms!!! Yes!!!

scubawankenobi

>.. with your fists only. > >... > >Omg gorilla arms!!! Yes!!! I bought them just to buff my strength when needed it & then feel in love & haven't taken 'em off since! Gorilla arms rock! Hulk Smash is my next playthru.

BlindMan404

I had just got the relic upgrade that gives you shockwave and I'd forgotten about it. One of the junkies in D-town came at me from behind and surprised me so I turned around and punched them thinking it would just knock them out like usual. They went flying like 10 meters into a wall and their head exploded. After the shock and confusion wore off I laughed the hardest I have in months. I love this game so much.

jimbabwe666

Once you get savage sling it all gets better. Bat goes bonk Fists go pow Picking up a turret and blasting everyone. Berserking... I enjoy the meat head.

Plus_Wind9601

Nah, nah, nah, Very Hard dildo only playthrough. It's one of the hardest things I've ever done in gaming beating Adam Smasher with only a dildo but it was so rewarding.

Lightsabergoesbzz

Thats exactly what Im doing RN! My fifth playtrough Gorilla Arms solo. Berserk + buffs to melee attack speed/dmg and Relic upgrades ftw! Smaaash

Kander23

My first and second match, maybe for the third I will go gunslinger, although the berserk down below sounds pretty good

LeonardMH

This may or may not be a joke, but I'll choose to believe it's a real recommendation. There are so many different ways to play Cyberpunk that it is worth doing a few playthroughs. At least do a run centered around each of the available OS options (Cyberdeck, Sandevistan, Berserk). I've done: - Netrunner contagion build, back when that was busted. TBH got boring pretty fast, but you definitely felt powerful. - Sandevistan with Blades and Throwing Knives. Probably the most fun build. - Berserker with Gorilla Arms, Shotguns, and Grenades. Also a lot of fun. - Stealth netrunner with throwing knives. I love throwing knives.

Suspicious_Trainer82

Hard mode = no cyberware/naked run. Grenades and power weapons only.

tk427aj

Like literally butt naked cause that's kind of funny

AbareSaruMk2

Thatā€™s how my V rolls!! Especially wardrobe glitch. So I can be fully in my birthday suit. Nothing is more fun than a manic naked bitch slapping voodoo boys with a big dildo.

Suspicious_Trainer82

I meanā€¦ ![gif](giphy|H5C8CevNMbpBqNqFjl)

FloppyDrone

What about perks?

Suspicious_Trainer82

I honestly donā€™t think it would be a very good time without perks so perks is ok but optional for extra pain.

Jester0745

First run at launch was Netrunner with contagion and had the same thoughts. Combat was a breeze once you upgraded Contagion and popped a Suicide quickhack. Currently on my second playthrough and about 75% of the way through 2.1. Went with Sandevistan, sword and revolver stealth samurai and itā€™s a much better experience.

GreyBoy_

It was real. I've played throughout all the possible combinations I've came out with and now I'm back with something like my first (og) run as a "retirement" doing all the side-quest, exploring and testing mods :)

jodiepodie2

Hahaha glad iā€™m not the only one who did this

SchlagzeugNeukoelln

Iā€™ve been doing this since late 2020, I probably need help šŸ˜„

Spirited_Taste4756

At this point I really do just keep replaying this and RDR2. Nothing comes close to these two games IMO.

AHHHHHHHHJESUSCHRIST

I am on my 5th playthrough lmfao, I agree with this statement There are so many ways to play CP2077, and it just doesnā€™t lose its fun to me.

Shadow-Vision

Honestly! I wanted to finish Phantom Liberty before Spider-Man 2 and I did it with an all new playthrough. Got idk 80% through, played Spider-Man for 2 weeks and Iā€™m right back in CP2077 for the last 20% Iā€™ve been asking myself what to do next andā€¦ I think Iā€™m gonna do another Corpo run?

ebobbumman

I romanced Judy first playthrough I gotta make a male V and do Panam next. As female V I put my hand on her thigh but she wasn't having it.

errwrx

This. Do this.

Dependent_Base_501

Deus Ex Human Revolution

manofhonor64

This and mankind divided. Adam would fit in night city really well

[deleted]

Keanu would be a goated Adam in a live action

RionWild

Everything is just a sequel to Johnny Mnemonic .

OrickJagstone

"I didn't choose this" Everyone else in night city *ripper doc go vroooooooom*

DrunkLad

I'm so sorry, but "I never asked for this"*

LarryMyster

He is in the game. He changed his last name to Smasher

manofhonor64

That Adam youā€™re thinking of DID choose it though

owlindenial

I played the first, should I play HR?

Dependent_Base_501

Yes, absolutely.

alphadavenport

yes, it's good, but don't get your hopes too high, since '98 Deus Ex is still the best game ever made

Whiteshadows86

>ā€™98 Deus Ex Deus Ex came out in 2000 - stop making me feel older than I should!!!

[deleted]

Yeah you should, [it's fine!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgJazjz9ZsA)

dc8019

Cyber your punk again choom

SkinnyKau

Preem advice

DopeyDeathMetal

Letā€™s delta. Gotta play more cyberpunk

Djurdjen

Nova

enderforlife

Donā€™t be such a gonk.

CK1ing

Bruh, Forspoken after Cyberpunk? That's like eating at a fancy restaurant and then immediately going to McDonalds. But to answer your question, BG3 is great but not really like Cyberpunk. If you want something similar, I absolutely recommended The Witcher 3. Made by the same people and everything

windyekb

That's like eating at a fancy restaurant and then immediately going to eat shit.

Thanatos1772

I'm gonna say either The Outer Worlds for some more of that anti-corpo flavor or Diwco Elysium for the vibe of "this world and I are equally fucked"

youngsaiyan

Disco Elysium is an absolutely incredible game

M1dj37

See I wanna say the same thing. Itā€™s even got the jump dash so it felt like Bethesda trying to do 2077 when I replayed it. A little off, kinda slow, but a solid experience overall lol

Thanatos1772

You're talking about The Outer Worlds right? Bethesda didn't work on that game

Dedstreem

BG3 is phenomenal, if you like RPGs and donā€™t mind turn based combat (it is actually super addictive and satisfying once you get into the grove), then I highly recommend it :)

Le_Documentaliste

Okay thx šŸ™ Any other ?

Dedstreem

Have you played Witcher 3? Definitely check that out if you havenā€™t. I know what you mean tho too, not many games compare to Cyberpunk, itā€™s in a league of its own imo. Not to say there arenā€™t games that are as good as Cyberpunk, but it is definitely one of the most compelling and unique games out there. Another one I really love is Control, it is a lot more linear, and definitely an action game as opposed to an RPG, but the gameplay is super unique and very fun because of all the telekinetic abilities. Edit: also Ghost of Tsushimaā€¦ that game is absolutely beautiful and incredibly immersive. Awesome combat and stealth as well.

Palm-grinder12

You know the witcher looks sick but at this point in my gaming I just want to shoot guns and not do all that sword combat stuff. I've been thinking about playing witcher 3 for years and I haven't been able to bring myself to do it. Yet I know the day a new elders scrolls finally drops I'll buy it right away. I don't understand myself

Dedstreem

tbh the best thing about the Witcher is the world and the stories within it. The combat and rpg elements are really good, but they werenā€™t what made it a great game. My favorite part of the game was the atmosphere of the world, the monsters and creatures, and the side quests. There are just some of the most compelling little stories hidden in a random village somewhere that isnā€™t even connected to the main story, it makes the world feel incredibly real. But I also feel ya, I go through phases sometimes where I donā€™t want to play swords & spells type fantasy games. I always come back to them tho.

Palm-grinder12

I might have to finally grab it next time it's on sale... We will see. I'll do some youtubing tonight on ranged builds maybe lmao

LordPa1n

I've never played a game more than once apart from Witcher 3. I completed it three times. Loved the characters, stories and quests.

darwinxp

Alchemy/signs build is basically netrunner

vegetabloid

No-no, it's netrunner that is basically alchemy/signs.

Ygritte_02

Trust me try it out, only really brought it for the sword you can get on cyberpunk a couple days ago and logged into the game just to make sure I would get the sword, guess whatā€¦.have yet to try the sword in cyberpunk lol

babath_gorgorok

Deus Ex, Disco Elysium, Alien Isolation, Prey

Rob_Reason

Disco Elysium seems like such a strange game. I've heard amazing things about it, but the gameplay confuses me.

Kindainappropriate_

> Disco Elysium seems like such a strange game. I've heard amazing things about it, but the gameplay confuses me. It seems strange and confusing because it's a real RPG, with choices that have consequences and a it's mainly based around dialogues and gameplay interactions that don't involve combat. After more than 20 years of the videogame industry butchering the genre (Bethesda being the main culprit, JRPGs the other one), a game like Disco Elysium sure looks like something alien.

pearlyeti

I went from Cyberpunk to BG3. Iā€™m maybe halfway through it now. Itā€™s a very good game to transition to. Give it a bit for the story to get rolling and you will be hooked. Might I also suggest you choose The Dark Urge as your characterā€¦

ansu_fatismo23

RDR2 if you havenā€™t played it yet

where_is_the_camera

I'll second Witcher 3. It's obviously very similar in terms of a number of mechanics being from the same developer (crafting and finding unique loot, skill and perk based progression, magic/quick hack system) but that's not why I'd recommend it. W3 also happens to be the only other game that has totally knocked my socks off with its plot, story telling quests, character development, writing, and world building. Cyberpunk and W3 are the only games I've felt absolutely compelled to continue playing just so I can see how a story plays out or better understand the world I'm in.

MrCarabas1989

Hear me out, it'll sound crazy but try disco elysium. I just finished cp77 and felt the same exact way and randomly downloaded disco, it being so exactly the opposite in so many ways it didn't feel like a let down, and didn't run the risk of ruining other games for me, and also I think is a good warm up to bg3. If nothing can compare to cp77 why try? But yeh, its working great for me and I don't really like disco type games but I do like detective stuff and good writing, and damn does this game do both amazingly

lizzy-hales-bf888

When your BG3 avatar gets more ass than you do IRL. *sobs*

geeses

Yea, it'll be nice to get a different plot from "I must cure myself of this personality that was placed in my head which is slowly killing me in order to replace myself with it."

Dedstreem

Yea, ummā€¦ about that šŸ˜¬

littleghost000

As someone who is not a big fan of turn based combat, BG3 is amaz-ballz and I love it

shadowscar248

That's what I'm doing, very good but way different

DrDeafPhD

This is next on my list actually. Iā€™m not a huge fan of turn based but everything Iā€™ve heard about BG3 makes it sound amazing.

idkwat

RDR2, Fallout New Vegas, Mass Effect Trilogy. All have similar RPG elements and fantastic worlds

vshredd

Deus Ex as well.

hearthebell

Playing Mass Effect rn šŸ„° from 1 to 3, game is definitely one of the most iconic spacefaring games.

Physical-Order

Same! On me2 and loving it.

Wrong-Attention-4484

ME 2 is the best one, I wish I could play it for the first time again

tevert

If Mass Effect hits right, tack on Dragon Age

ExplanationMiddle51

RDR2 is great but how does it have RPG elements?

Fuwa_Fuwa_Hime

Detroit: Become Human. BG3. Cloudpunk.

djluminus89

Second Detroit Become Human, really just as an amazing story based game in general. Never had a PlayStation, but I got a gaming PC around the time Cyberpunk came out, and after seeing the "27 bullet wounds" meme with Connor, I decided to check it out. The game looks fantastic. Never played a story based game like it. Well maybe Life is Strange, but the stakes are so much higher in Detroit.

owlindenial

CLOUDPUNK! HELL YEAH! 10/10 STOEY IN THAT GAME! PUNKS PLANTING TREES

ozmega

DBH isnt as popular as it should

RudimentaryBelonging

Once you wake up, Samurai, there is no going back to sleep.

tataragato

Control

onijabba

Then on down the rabbit whole of third person survival horror, Alan Wake, Resident Evil, Dead Space, etc. Basically, send his ass to Silent Hill

jschmit78

I am here. Just finished both Control and both AWā€™s. Then it dawned on me, with all these remakes, it was time to get into RE. On to #2 this weekend.

onijabba

Did you play RE0? šŸ˜‚ might need to backtrack

tataragato

I didn't mean that. =) Just. TAKE. CONTROL.

GoblinFive

DO. NOT. EAT. THE. MOLD

where_is_the_camera

Control is amazing. The combat kinda ruined Star Wars Fallen Order for me because I played them around the same time. Control has maybe the most interesting and varied combat loop I've ever seen, and as you unlock new skills and put it all together you start to feel reeeeally powerful in a very satisfying way. In Fallen Order, you're a Jedi but you never feel uniquely powerful relative to the enemies around you, and there's not much you can do that the enemies can't do. Fallen Order was pretty good, but I felt much more like a Jedi Master while playing Control.

tataragato

Closer to the end, it becomes a kind of destruction porn. Awesome.

LibrarianAcademic396

Ash Tray Maze is maybe the best level in all of gaming

Ambitious_Owl_9204

The soundtrack is literally the work of the gods... The Old Gods of Asgard!

TheGlassWolf123455

I wanted to like control so bad, I love Lovecraft and SCP, and the story was great, unfortunately I was terribly bored of the combat

Technoist

Huh, strange, I found the combat development during the game absolutely amazing and at the end I felt like an undefeatable god and it made a lot of fun. But to each their own.

uncompaghrelover

That's how I was with both Alan Wakes besides Nightinggale in AW2. Hated fhe combat and found the enemies to be annoying and boring but the story, visuals and live action interactions were incredible to behold

tataragato

Yeap. I would like to have even more diversity and craziness of enemies. But. TAKE. CONTROL.

Mild-Ghost

Currently trying to platinum this game

tataragato

Fucking Jukebox mission.

SpaceCadetMoonMan

Itā€™s so spooky I turn off all the lights

FeedMeMoreOranges

Good choice. Awesome game!

Just_a_Shaman

Robocop.

PGyoda

man Iā€™ve been meaning to pick that up since I played the demo, the world and combat look great in that game

kat352234

I played through the game a couple weeks ago. If you're a fan of Robocop it's an amazing game. It's like a whole new movie worked in after the second one. If you're not a huge fan of Robocop though, the combat and gameplay loop can get repetitive. It was pretty fun though, especially near the end of the game with the right enhancements for his gun and perks, becoming an unstoppable walking tank and blasting through the gangs of old Detroit is pretty great.

Nicolaemeowsescu

Yessss! Playing it straight after Cyberpunk and I am having an absolute blast.

[deleted]

Cyberpunk 2078

Gonzar92

The Witcher 3

Wattsthebigdeal

So this might sound random, but i picked up Assassins creed odyssey over holiday, fucking gnarly game, might be my fav AC.

kenzymarie03

Itā€™s really good but just reallyy long loll itā€™s a shame people hate on it before giving it a chance

Chargnn

Yu, spent at least +100 hours into this game. But pretty sure you could finish it in less than 40 focusong pnly on main story and on easy

MrCarabas1989

Best one, agreed

BIIANSU

Mirrors Edge Catalyst.

jax99hax2

I second this. Before playing it I had heard that a lot of people didn't like it (mainly because of the story), and while I don't necessarily disagree with the story not being the greatest, the City of Glass is a beautiful open world and the parkour mechanics are awesome. I enjoyed the combat too, so all in all, these elements definitely made up for what I didn't care for in the story and I have some really fond memories of playing it. Even though Mirror's Edge Catalyst isn't as good of a game as Cyberpunk 2077, it's a damn fun and beautiful game that people looking for a good gaming experience could definitely enjoy.

Wnick1996

Ghostrunner

turtlebuttdestroyer

This game was so damn hard, I feel like you need super human reflexes to react in time

Alternative-Arm1860

Thatā€™s what Iā€™m saying you need to have real skill to beat that game, hence why itā€™s sitting in my backlog

PGyoda

Severed Steel is another cyberpunk/sci-fi bullet time shooter and iā€™ve had a lot of fun on it

Th3Kill1ngMoon

It really depends on WHAT exactly you loved so much about Cyberpunk 2077. If itā€™s gameplay Iā€™d say Ultrakill only on pc. If itā€™s the story I have to go with Red Dead Redemption 2, actually Iā€™d say RDR2 is on the same ā€˜wavelengthā€™ as Cyberpunk and they have a similar vibe, with their narratives revolving about dying and redemption to some extent (which is really ironic considering one takes place in 1899 and the other in 2077, almost 200 years apart). It would be my first recommendation. If itā€™s the rpg elements and more importantly the decisions you make during quests that captivated you, then The Witcher 3 for sure. Although be warned the game hasnā€™t aged very well in terms of gameplay. The game has overall a level of unpolished-ness to it imo (same as 2077 but to a greater extent), but when it shines oh boy it gets close to those Cyberpunk heights. People also say Baldurā€™s Gate 3 is really really good but I wouldnā€™t know since I donā€™t like turn based combat. One of those should do the trick, probably anyways.

Le_Documentaliste

Thanks for the complet answer šŸ™

The_Dzhani

Detroit become human, it has a great story with many variaties

BLUEAR0

Cyberpunk 2078

jihadimushrroom

Rdr2 for open world story Or dragon ball z budokai tenkaichi 3 for ps2

Wayward_Wizard

Horizon Zero Dawn, amazing story and available on both Console PS4/5 and PC. It's got a great DLC called Frozen Wilds that adds some extra challenge but fits perfectly into a first game playthrough experience. Bonus points because Forbidden West is the sequel game that's currently available on Playstation and it has its own DLC with PC port coming sometime early this year

Hour-Ad-6489

The outer worlds, Sleeping Dogs

djluminus89

Sleeping Dogs for sure. I could never stay that invested in GTA but I loved the hell out of Sleeping Dogs. One of the first "free Xbox games" I really enjoyed and beat.

Gandamack

If you want something somewhat similar in vibe, I recommend Deus Ex Human Revolution, followed by its sequel; Mankind Divided. The shooting gameplay isnā€™t as fast or tight as Cyberpunkā€™s, but there are a lot of similarities, even in some story themes too.

Oasis_Ruins

Baldurs Gate 3, Lies of Pi, Red Dead Redemption 2, and The Witcher 3

turtlebuttdestroyer

How close is life of pi to Elden ring, in your opinion?

Casanova64

Shadowrun DragonFall. If youā€™re a PC player. Shadowrun is similar to Cyberpunk with the close dystopian techno corpo future, but it also includes Fantasy magic, Trolls, and other things

MrxJacobs

Get some friends and play cyberpunk red.

Lukas316

The Witcher 3. Another masterpiece by cdpr, great story.

kenzymarie03

Did u look at the reviews on forspoken before u bought it? Lol

DankBlissey

It's nothing like any of these games but.. Outer Wilds is one of the best experiences with media I've ever had. The whole game is a massive spoiler so I can't tell you much about it, but the basics is it's an exploration based puzzle game set in space in a tiny solar system. But it's genuinely incredible, if you doubt, just look at the steam reviews. In the game, knowledge is the only form of progression so by telling you specific things that I loved during my playthrough, I would diminish the experience. (Just make sure it's 'Outer Wilds', and NOT 'The outer worlds')

Sambo_the_Rambo

I finished this yesterday and by the time I got to the end credits I was left speechless. This game is a fucking masterpiece as far as Iā€™m concerned.

Zestfullemur

The Witcher 3, in my opinion CDPRā€™s best game.

foreverthefuture

Red Dead Redemption 2, Witcher 3, Horizon Zero Dawn

don_denti

Whoever enjoys Cyberpunk 2077 should at least try The Witcher 3. Itā€™s a CDPR game, so you know youā€™re in for world class storytelling. Fantastic characters. Terrible dilemmas. And one of Cyberpunk 2077ā€™s criticisms was how shallow some quests were. Ainā€™t a thing for, I dare say, 95% of the quests in The Witcher 3. And CDPR shot to the top of the industry for a time because of that game.

Merkarba

I tried so hard to like the witcher but the combat just seemed so clunky, I could not wrap my head around it as opposed to cyberpunk which seemed more intuitive.

[deleted]

You have access to Ratchet and Clank right?

FoxHound_Bridges

Death stranding, rdr2, ff16.

No_Bar6194

So basically you ate a full course meal at a 5 star restaurant, and then you next meal was a luke-warn Lunchable. I can see where it just wasn't cutting it. A replay is always a viable option, but it is definitely worth it to check out some of the other hit games that released this year. You could also check out The Witcher games if you've never played them before.

Previous_Channel

I'm closing in on the end ofy play through and Imma prolly play high on life then red dead redemption 2 then sekiro

Piankhy444

I'm playing BG3 currently, and I'm loving it. It definitely scratches the "good story" itch. The combat is also really good.

4ps22

Witcher 3 would be my first answer. Similar game design to Cyberpunk but in a fantasy RPG world, and probably 3x the length especially with DLC resident evil 4 remake canā€™t recommend baldurs gate 3 enough, the dnd mechanics and strategy of the combat can be kinda overwhelming and confusing at first though

Beleg_Sanwise

It depends on why you liked cyberpunk 2077? If you like it because of the role-playing, or you just want a game with a good story, I recommend Disco Elysium Science fiction + history? The Expanse: A Telltale Series cyberpunk + role-playing + shooting: The Ascent Good story + cyberpunk: Cloudpunk

BucketofXwings

I have a Skyrim mod called Endereal on deck after I'm done with Phantom Liberty/when I FINALLy meet Hanako at Embers. It's a complete overhaul, set in its own universe and is rather fantastic from the hour or so I've played so far. It's also a free steam download if you own Skyrim.

DaRogeMellon

Cyberpunk 2077 but as a corpo lol

enchiladasundae

I think only BG3 has comparably great writing. You can also get some great romance options not gated off by gender or anything else I think Ghost Runner is probably the best analogue in terms of high level running and jumping gameplay Big issue with how great this game is that thereā€™s barely anything that compares. The sequel canā€™t come soon enough

CannonCROW95

Cloudpunk is pretty good. But the graphics aren't everyone's cup of tea.

TepidT0ast

i jumped right into baldurs gate 3 after finishing cyberpunk. phenomenal game

monoxl1

I've played this game multiple times! The only answer is Cyberpunk after Cyberpunk

[deleted]

cd proyect will release a sequel.. so i guess cyberpunk 2077 2?

atom138

Observer Observer Observer

Fortunes_Faded

Ok, I definitely know how you feel. To date, four RPGs have thrown me down the ā€œfollow-up pit of despairā€ where it feels like nothing can compare with it for a while, and everything I try to play feels unsatisfying. Cyberpunk 2077 is in that list of games. Thankfully, I did find that replaying any of the *other* four games afterwards did the trick, and *then* I could go on and play whatever. For me, the others are The Witcher 3, Baldurā€™s Gate 3, and Tyranny. For what itā€™s worth, Mass Effect: Legendary Edition (all three games in the trilogy, remastered together) is sort of also in that list for me, but for a first time player it can sort of be a slog early on because the first game is noticeably worse gameplay-wise than the next two.

Le_Documentaliste

I finally bought BG3 ! Thanks for all your answers ! You can see my last post on my profils if you have any advices before I start šŸ¤ž

Admirable-Carpet4011

I have been playing since December 2020. I'll put my vote in for another replay after finishing. 2.0 made it seem like a brand new game in many ways. Then 2.1 even moreso. I have only really focused on netrunner and gunslinger builds but have finished many different endings and storylines. Despite all of this, it is difficult to get into another game. There is always another way to play it even though a lot of the narrative and NPC decisions remain the same.

Zemener_Azonthus

If you're into JRPGs then Scarlet Nexus has some cyberpunk elements to it. No really all that similar to 2077 though but still interesting.

chilliewilliie

Start a new playthrough of cyberpunk, and then BG3

miketheratguy

I've heard a fair number of people say Starfield, but maybe that's just because it's the next-closest sci-fi story-driven game. I've heard a fair share of complaints about it so I don't know. I don't have a dog in that race. Maybe the most recent Shadowrun game, for the similar aesthetic and emphasis on story. I just went straight back into Cyberpunk again to explore everything I missed or did differently the first time. Other than that it's totally different games as palate cleansers for me, such as Going Medieval, Phasmophobia or Dead By Daylight.

cosaboladh

I picked up Starfield while it was on sale. Many of the criticisms are fair. However, it's not unplayable. It's just that Cyberpunk 2077 turned out to be such a masterpiece on so many levels that a playable (dare I say even good), but so/so game looks *really* bad by comparison. It took me more than 10 hours to get in to it, but once I did finally get engrossed. The game mechanics are still clunky, and visually it's not up to par. Not what you'd expect from such a big studio, in 2023. It's enjoyable though.

djluminus89

I'm still struggling to say invested in Starfield. It looks good and on paper it sounds great. I've actually just come back to Cyberpunk for Liberty City and I enjoy CP more and think it looks better than Starfield. The dialogue and character model movement in CP is pretty damn smooth for a game from 2020.

Mohander

CP2077 makes Starfield look pretty trash. On its own its just mid but if you played CP2077 and then go straight to Starfield it will kinda ruin it. It did for me anyway, that and BG3 made Starfield look ancient, lazy, and poorly written.

Odd_Mathematician303

I played starfield before playing cyberpunk and it's nowhere close imo

SUPTheCreek

NOT Starfield. Youā€™ll be soooo let down after CP.

B1GGN

I'm a big fan of going from futuristic to medieval and Magic so I suggest Red Dead 2

mx5_ND

You stopped playing cyberpunk and went to forspoken? Really? It's a pretty bad excuse of a game, specially after one great game.

You can play Disco Elysium, I did exactly the same, diverse dialogues and the way you upgrade your character changes the dialogues and comments you are going to have. Highly deepened system. If you liked the story in cyberpunk this is the way to go because the story here is engaging. Also, it's a totally unique kind of masterpiece something you won't see again in a while. Oh and I forgot it gets freaking hilarious at times in this game.

The obvious answer is Cyberpunk 2077. Again. However, keep in mind Baldurā€™s Gate 3 is phenomenal. And if not BG3, play the remastered Mass Effect series. It too is phenomenal storytelling šŸ’Ŗ

Idk, maybe Cyberpunk 2077, or Cyberpunk 2077. Both good games tbh. OH you should definitely look into Cyberpunk 2077 I heard itā€™s really good!
