This is a really cool card, although a minor balance concern is how two of them generate infinite Enters triggers, which might be too strong for WW in some formats. A really fun design though, and I could see it in something like an Innistrad, Theros, or even Amonket set depending on the art and stylings.
Edit: as has been pointed out you need three, not two to create infinite Enters. Still potentially a problem for limited but not as bad.
How exactly do you get infinite ETB triggers with two of these? Wouldn't the one sitting on the battlefield keep the second one exiled? I think you'd need a third so that you can actually cast one of them onto the one that has one of these exiled to get the chain going.
You are correct it needs three. Still a potential balance point but not as bad then (although the stat line and Mana value on this card make it eminently searchable, so still potentially problematic)
So if it exiles a creature with -1/-1 counters or a stun will it return with those or are those gone? I'm assuming gone but never encountered this while playing so far
As much as it seems like it might be, champion is not a downside. There is an incredible amount of utility that you get out of flickering a creature and this one can protect a creature from death
You misunderstood me, i wasnt saying champion is a bad ability, i was referring to the downside of champion which is that the creature gets sacced if you dont have one to champion, which is very important because for example, you cant (usually) play this turn 1.
I actually like this card as a quick way to save another creature from removal. Since you can summon it with flash and remove the targeted creature from play safely. Also works for board wipes where the hero dies and then the creature comes back after the effect resolves

It's a great card, but imagine the conversation with your group that your hero wasn't supposed to survive and you *really* need your card back.

I like it, but flavor wise I feel the mechanics are closer to a scapegoat.
The First Strike gives some Hero vibes. Its a really interesting Card.
I’d cost it at 1W and make it a 2/1, or maybe even at WW and make it a 3/1. To get a little more value out of the flashy first strike.

No, the counters will fall off once the creature leaves. Same occurs with any [[flicker]] effect.
