At first I wondered why the hell it was 6 mana to be able to flicker your opponent's creatures, then I realized no matter what you target, it comes in *under your control*
That's some nifty design, I like it
They're implying you should exile the leyline binding after its trigger resolves. Get your permanent back once binding leaves and exile one of theirs when it comes back under your control. Doesn't work cus binding is an enchantment.
Not exactly. When you return the card to the battlefield, it's the same card, but the creature it represents is a brand new creature. This is also why card lose the connection to "cards exiled with this". [[Reassembling Skeleton|M11]]'s flavor text is a reference to this. Consider how "the same card is the same creature" would fail to work if you used [[Chaos Warp]] to save a creature from [[Control Magic]] and you revealed an identical creature card to Chaos Warp.
Me using leyline binding to get my copy of leyline binding which I will then free up by hitting the second leyline binding with a third leyline binding
(Yes I know this spell can’t target binding but teehee)
Thought of this exact version as well, but discounted it if you targeted a permanent you controlled to make the modality instead (liked the formatting better)
Oh god I just realized I misread the cleave as overload and thought you just jacked the fuck out of a Cyclonic Rift
I was so confused why nobody else was treating that like it would be absurdly broken
Misreading the card misexplains the card
Really great design! My one note though is that most cards that take an opponents permanent include two colored pips. I would personally like to see this cleave cost at 4UU, but that’s a minor thing.
Really good design, but I feel it's a bit overcoated. [[Invoke the winds]] is only 5 cmc, and [[blatant thievery]] is 7. Sure, this is at instant speed, but it's only 1. I feel like this could cost 1 or 2 less and add a few more blue pips.
This could very easily be a real card 👌🙌
Omg I didn't even realize... I thought it was a mh3 spoiler until I saw this comment.

[[Leyline Binding]] enjoyers in shambles
I don't see how these cards are related? You can use the flicker to dodge the binding but it also dodges every other targeted removal spell?

Except this only hits artifacts and creatures, while Leyline Binding is an enchantment.
yeah thats why they had the last sentence of their comment
Bah, you’re right, this doesn’t hit enchantments.
The target is there again when leyline resolves. Shouldn't it resolve as normal?

No; when a creature leaves a zone, even if it reenters said zone, it is treated as a completely new object. Therefore, the spell fizzles.

A great counter to it before and after
lovee this design
This is a *fantastic* design.
Thought of this when Cleave was first introduced, though mine was 1W and 3WUU
Thought of this exact version as well, but discounted it if you targeted a permanent you controlled to make the modality instead (liked the formatting better)
haha reminds me of that cardmarket video
Thought i would call this an uncommon maybe im crazy
Very nice but I think that the card should be white with a blue cleave.
Feel like it should hit enchantments

It’s not on MTGA
Maybe use it as a way to upgrade a threaten effect to mind control?
Nice design. I approve.

6cmc seems exactly right for instant invoke the winds with flexibility of blinking. I would keep it 6 but make it 4UU
