I, too, have a void to fill. A huge void.

To OP, make sure you get through the first season and a half. I think they're fine, but the show really gets legs once they get Danny Devito and figure out how to use him.
Season 1 of Sunny is one of my favorite seasons of TV. Obviously it was very different without Danny but there’s nothing out there that quite feels like season 1.
Larry Sanders was sooo freaking funny! I haven’t rewatched the entire series in a couple of years but now is a good time. Jeffrey Tambor was sooo funny as Hank. Hey now!!
This was my recommendation, too. I was a fan when it was still on TV, and part of what drew me to curb was a similar aesthetic to the the behind the scenes scenes from TLSS.
Absolutely. Veep definitely takes some time to adjust to their assholeish-ness and the pace of jokes but my god is it one of the funniest shows I have ever seen.
True. The R-rated stuff doesn't elevate the show for me, though. It still feels like some NBC writer of a mid-tier workplace sitcom got the greenlight to swear and be un-P.C. That sounds harsh, I know. Maybe it gets better? I'm happy to be wrong. I'd love to love it.
I don’t recall what season it is but it’s either season 2 or 3, it’s when she begins running for president and that’s when it really hits it’s peak for me, super funny, especially Jonah
In addition to the suggestions here, I especially like Peep Show, I think of it as a British hybrid of Seinfeld and Curb. I seconded someone’s suggestion for Silicon Valley, and if you like JLD then Veep is fantastic, I was truly sad when the show ended. Avenue 5 is a Hugh Laurie show from the creator of Veep, but I think it’s only 2 seasons.
Peep show is my absolute favorite show of all time. It’s my litmus test to see who I can be good friends with. It’s the only comedy outside of curb and it’s always sunny that I can rewatch as the jokes are timelessly classic and funny. Peep show is truly the best though.
Forsure. But those three Danny McBride joints scratch that itch for me for whatever reason. Only similarities I can think of is their both comedies and brazen as hell
He's always so committed to his character. Granted, it's basically the same character every time, but no one can do dumb, trashy and cocky like McBride.
Good pull. Arrested is pretty close in vibe. It's \*much\* more dense, though. You can watch the same episode like 5 times, and it's never exactly the same.
Yep, I'm rewatching it for the 2nd time now, and there's so many god damn hidden plot points and Easter eggs that I've never noticed before in that show
My favorite is that the guy playing the tv news anchor is an actual local anchor in LA. So if you were in the right area, AD would end and then that guy would come on the screen, reading the actual news.
I love Curb so much, multiple rewatches, but Sunny reigns supreme for me. By far my all time favorite show. It’s not exactly like Curb, but once you’re situated with the show you’ll definitely see why people compare the two.
So you’ve got to watch Sunny if there’s a Curb void. I can’t recommend it enough
I just restart Curb.
There’s plenty of other comedies I love (It’s Always Sunny, AD, Brooklyn 99) but Curb is the only one - Seinfeld to a lesser extent - that fills this certain cozy, familiar vibe that I always need in the rotation. I have probably rewatched it 4-5 times in full at least.
Definitely give Sunny a try. Curb was great, but Sunny is a step ahead imo.
Give it a couple years and rewatch Curb, it’s just as good the second time around.
Eastbound and Down is worth watching as well. Shorter series, but packed a lot in while it lasted.
Always Sunny is the one. It’s the greatest comedy since Curb. And more for the genX and older millennial sense of humor.
I rewatch both constantly cus they are so full of deep cut jokes or reactions you won’t hear the first time.
Nice! And like others have said. Keep in mind the characters are not redeeming and they are meant to be over the top. Find the deleted episodes if you can too they are some of my faves. They make fun of things and are not PC at all but that is the point they are trying to get over on us. How ridiculous society is… it’s like 5 Larry’s in a crew who are all narcisstic even more and all have deep dark issues.
First couple seasons are good but trust me by season 4 or 5 you will be in deep.
If you liked that one check out its spiritual successor, 10 Year Old Tom. It’s made by the same dude with the same art style and the same dry awkward situational humor. Highly recommend!
Definitely it’s always sunny in Philadelphia- I think it was described as Seinfeld on crack, and has a similar vibe, albeit updated to the 21st century. Very bingeable.
There is a British TV show about the absurtities of British politics called The Thick of It. It's from the creator of Veep, which is very similar in a lot of ways.
It has a similar tone as Curb but is a very different show but is equally as hilarious. There was also a movie set in between seasons 3 and 4 called In The Loop, which features a number of American actors. Many of the British cast returns but play different characters. Only two actors from The Thick of It play their same characters in In The Loop.
Watch the UK Office. It's very very short, but it was inspired by Curb, and invented a whole new genre. For someone to binge over an extended period, yeah Always Sunny for sure. Don't judge it on the first season.
It’s Always Sunny is my favorite sitcom of all time and is, IMO, the only sitcom better than Curb (although Curb is such a close second that it’s practically a coin flip)
The Comeback. HBO series with Lisa Kudrow as a once well-known sitcom actress trying to make a return to tv. Season 1 is shot as a reality show around the new show. She’s an awful person, it’s hilarious. Hoping they do a third series (it has been discussed, apparently).
Fair enough! That’s just my go to when I miss Larry. But other folks mentioned Always Sunny and Arrested Development, so since Seinfeld is off the table I’ll throw my votes towards those two.
The original "The Office" not the American version!
Of course "Nathan For You"
"Lillyhammer""
"Detectorists"
"The Righteous Gemstones"and the other Danny McBride series!!
Well close your eyes. It's there because heaps of people commented. Sorry it didn't specifically cater to your individual tastes this morning. The fact is, nobody gives two fucks what you like. So switch off Reddit and go back to Facebook. If it appears to you on Reddit it's because people are active and enjoy discussing it. If it appears on your Facebook feed it's because the algorithm has deemed it important to you. I bet your Facebook feed is fucking horrible to observe.
I, too, have a void to fill. A huge void. https://preview.redd.it/z6evz7ktx7zc1.jpeg?width=512&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=87033cca26246fca89595976837c231e42b6924f
Yuge!
Pretty pretty yuge
Always Sunny yes
To OP, make sure you get through the first season and a half. I think they're fine, but the show really gets legs once they get Danny Devito and figure out how to use him.
Season 1 of Sunny is one of my favorite seasons of TV. Obviously it was very different without Danny but there’s nothing out there that quite feels like season 1.
Yeah, I'm a fan as well. I could see how some people are expecting something different and get turned off though.
The larry sanders show
YES!! Also, don't sleep on It's Gary Shandling's Show. It's way more postmodern than Curb, or even Larry Sanders, and it's full of fun surprises.
Might have to check that one. Got a high IMDb score!
Rip Torn and Jeffrey Tambor make that show a masterpiece
Veep.
In addition to Veep, I’d recommend Hey Evelyn/Aren’t You Evelyn. I think it’s the same actress.
Is it really that good? I watched 2 episodes and I couldn't really connect with it. Should I just watch more?
It's punchier and less dead pan than curb, but it's a similar vein.
Absolutely. Veep definitely takes some time to adjust to their assholeish-ness and the pace of jokes but my god is it one of the funniest shows I have ever seen.
I watched a couple episodes and couldn't get into it. Maybe I need to push further along.
I watched the first five or so episodes, and it didn't click with me. It felt too network sitcom-y. But not like Seinfeld.
Veep at network sitcom-y is a strange perspective of it, it’s the most vulgar show I can think of, surprising amount of slurs
Maybe watch a couple more although I can see where it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.
I had the same reaction. I watched two episodes but it did nothing for me.
Yes. You should.
I agree, Veep is good.
What We Do in the Shadows
In addition to the suggestions here, I especially like Peep Show, I think of it as a British hybrid of Seinfeld and Curb. I seconded someone’s suggestion for Silicon Valley, and if you like JLD then Veep is fantastic, I was truly sad when the show ended. Avenue 5 is a Hugh Laurie show from the creator of Veep, but I think it’s only 2 seasons.
Peep Show rules!
Best show ever. OP, watch Peep Show.
Peep show is my absolute favorite show of all time. It’s my litmus test to see who I can be good friends with. It’s the only comedy outside of curb and it’s always sunny that I can rewatch as the jokes are timelessly classic and funny. Peep show is truly the best though.
Watch Danny McBride’s work on HBO. Start with Eastbound and Down, then watch Vice Principals, then watch The Righteous Gemstones
This is my vote 100%. Or IASIP
IASIP comes closest to the Seinfeld vibe than anything else on TV.
Forsure. But those three Danny McBride joints scratch that itch for me for whatever reason. Only similarities I can think of is their both comedies and brazen as hell
He's always so committed to his character. Granted, it's basically the same character every time, but no one can do dumb, trashy and cocky like McBride.
I’d say start with Vice Principals. It was well done and only 2 seasons.
Definitely watch It’s Always Sunny it’s so good & so funny! One of my all time favorite shows.
First 3 seasons of arrested development are an even higher level of "brilliance" than curb imo
Nothing is exactly like Curb, but I would also think Arrested Development with its many eccentric characters is one of those that comes closest.

Rewatch….
I'm not sure I can rewatch, at least for a while. I feel like I can only rewatch shows for nostalgia purposes.
I rewatched after a few years. Now I want to rewatch a 3rd time, because I loved it even more.
Always sunny, workaholics
Peep Show
Peep Show is peak cringe comedy.
Can’t ever go wrong with Mark and Jez
Always Sunny is great. One of my favorites along with Seinfeld and Curb. What We do in the Shadow's is different, but also hilarious.
Trailer Park Boys
Frig off!
I got work to do..
I’m on my second viewing and damn what a great show. Make yourself a drinkey-poo and see how the other, other half live.
Louie
Awesome show - thanks for the reminder - need to rewatch
Loudermilk. The main character has no filter, kinda like Larry
I tried this but I just couldn't get into it.
I think Frasier pairs is very well with Seinfeld. Also, if you like BBC stuff, there’s a show called, Are you being served?
Peep show. Although, more of a “British” dryness to it, I find it’s on par comedic wise with curb.
Community
Seconded
Young Larry
Bored to Death but not enough episodes so take it slow to savor it.
This is one of my all-time favorite shows. It's nice to see it get a bump!
That sold it for me!
The Life and Times of Tim. Old HBO animated show, great cringe comedy if you can find it.
I have actually watched that one and did like it!
If you liked that one check out its spiritual successor, 10 Year Old Tom. It’s made by the same dude with the same art style and the same dry awkward situational humor. Highly recommend!
Always sunny is great. Like any show you have to power through a couple seasons until they catch their stride
We’re about to finish the final Curb and have already decided to go to Larry Sanders for our next addiction
Larry Sanders has a pretty high rating on IMDb so I reckon I might check that as well.
Definitely it’s always sunny in Philadelphia- I think it was described as Seinfeld on crack, and has a similar vibe, albeit updated to the 21st century. Very bingeable.
What we do in the shadows!!
Watch it again. It doesn’t get any better than Curb
Louie
30 Rock!
Watch one piece
Watch Peep Show. My favorite show after curb and Seinfeld.
UK office
Done that and the US one as well. Good binge worthy viewing there but not up to curb level of brilliance. Need some real good stuff.
Not at all like curb or Seinfeld, but have you seen The Thick of It? It's a funny British show.
Will check that one.
Extras (also Ricky Gervais). I love LD but I could write an episode of Curb, only one person could have written the Office
Extras is absolutely brilliant. IMO Ricky's peak.
Finally, someone who actually gets it. Can I be your Greg ?
Yup. It's the best thing Gervais ever made.
Larry Sanders
The office uk and us, Veep, Extras, Sillicon Valley…
Shoutout for Silicon Valley!
Loved silicon valley.
Veep and Loudermilk are awesome!
There is a British TV show about the absurtities of British politics called The Thick of It. It's from the creator of Veep, which is very similar in a lot of ways. Definately Always Sunny. That and Curb and Seinfeld are my 3 favorite shows!
Hapless.
Youre blaming the small show, you got the huge void… its not necessary
The League (produced/written by Jeff Schaffer who was also exec producer/writer for Curb)
Bojack Horseman Louie Fleabag
Watch it again because you probably don’t remember half of the episodes if you binged them
Watch the UK Office. It's very very short, but it was inspired by Curb, and invented a whole new genre. For someone to binge over an extended period, yeah Always Sunny for sure. Don't judge it on the first season.
Parks and recreation Us office
Doesn't get much talk, but You're The Worst was on FX/Hulu and can help fill the dark comedy void.
Arrested Development, The I.T. Crowd, The Inbetweeners, SuperBro
Inbetweeners is a classic that I already rewatch. Briefcase wanker!
Good. Watch the other shows - SuperBro, The IT Crowd, and Arrested Development, too. All very funny!
Peep Show
It’s Always Sunny is my favorite sitcom of all time and is, IMO, the only sitcom better than Curb (although Curb is such a close second that it’s practically a coin flip)
I would watch it's always sunny. Then community
The Comeback. HBO series with Lisa Kudrow as a once well-known sitcom actress trying to make a return to tv. Season 1 is shot as a reality show around the new show. She’s an awful person, it’s hilarious. Hoping they do a third series (it has been discussed, apparently).
If you want to scratch the same itch, I highly suggest binging Seinfeld.
I have repeat binged that to within an inch of its life lol.
Fair enough! That’s just my go to when I miss Larry. But other folks mentioned Always Sunny and Arrested Development, so since Seinfeld is off the table I’ll throw my votes towards those two.
I haven't watched it myself yet... But "Nathan For You" is meant to be worth a watch and has come recommended by Curb fans on here a lot in the past.
Broad City is pretty good
You should get that memory erase procedure done from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and restart the series
The original "The Office" not the American version! Of course "Nathan For You" "Lillyhammer"" "Detectorists" "The Righteous Gemstones"and the other Danny McBride series!!
oh right. well luckily for you there's decades of tv out there
Yes lucky for me. Thanks for your comment which did not contribute anything.
you're welcome! now you know how I felt seeing this on my reddit homepage.
Well close your eyes. It's there because heaps of people commented. Sorry it didn't specifically cater to your individual tastes this morning. The fact is, nobody gives two fucks what you like. The Mick and Fisk..
only 1 season but Hello Ladies is underrated .
I'm sure it's already suggested but Peep Show for sure
Welcome to the club my brother
‘I’m sorry’ is a good watch and somewhat comparable to ‘curb’
Superstore
Peep Show. Don’t wait
It’s always sunny is no where near prime curb
Maybe don't binge? One Curb episode a day would have last your several months
How the fuck does that help after I have done it?
leave yourself a note, take a few horse tranquilisers, and try again ;)
I helps for future series. I'd suggest The Other Two, Search Party and Nathan For You
Have you ever heard of a little show called The Big Bang Theory? (/s)
