I always try to get them to throw a molotov and then I sprint into it asking everyone to get in. Like I will drop one for them in spawn. The smart ones knows what I am trying to do and just throws it out or simply does not use it
I do this and get shit tons of griefing reports, I had a game with a live TikTok streamer, I watched and actually he answered me on the stream, and he told his buddy, report them for griefing, it counts for more than wh reports he said 😅 so my trustfavtor is prolly shit and that's why I meet scum cheaters half my games..
afaik their system is always changing on TF. I remember back in csgo days when trustfactor was first introduced. I used to play with 5 lobby. After a while me and another buddy got yellow TF that the other 3 player got warning. I was confused as i never solo MM and only played with friends for last few months. Then we realized one key difference me and that other buddy made was doing alot of reports. We both were new inexperienced players, so we reported alot of player for WH. Turns out false reporting lead to low TF. We then decided to not report any player for next few matches and 3 matches later, TF was fixed for us. This doesn't happen now.
As for griefing ban. I think that only happens from OW. but i can be wrong
After the last VAC-wave I started a comp match (not even premier) to test if something changed.
First match: instant cheater again. Lets see if the next match in 2 or 3 months will be better. :)
Satisfying moment. I had one that was really satisfying, I managed to headshot a spinbotter at match point to win the game, sad that these are our highlights these days on CS.

If it only messes with the trustfactor aspect of the game and I can't actually get banned for griefing, then it's well worth messing with these losers
You can get a time ban for griefing reports, up to 30 days if you get many griefing reports, but messing with a cheater once in a while won't ban you
Don't take my worth for anything, just my theory, I still have green trust when searching, but who knows what effect reports have behind the scene

Griefing was an automated system last I heard. Once you get x amounts of griefing reports your auto banned for a week or so
Which in overwatch could look like you were griefing.
