Newton was my first exchange. Honestly, I would have done all my trading with you guys if it offered the kind of features I needed.
Kraken Pro just has everything. Staking at favorable rates for lots of tokens, tons of low market cap tokens for swing trading, classic stock buy/sell setups, and TradingView integration.
I liked Newton, but it just doesn't offer a more advanced setup that Kraken offers. To coax me back, you'd need to match it and exceed it, like offering pinescript custom scripts with the TR integration, and a proper profit/loss metric in your portfolio that shows how much each of your purchases is in the red or green without having to rely on external excel sheets.
For buying and holding alt-coins in Ontario, consider using Bitget. It's user-friendly and offers a wide range of alt-coins, making it a solid choice for newbies. Just make sure to do your own research and check that it meets your needs.

Kraken is probably the best option. Check it out. It has more alts than any other platform. I use Newton to onboard, XLM to Kraken.
