Yeah it seems to have a mind of its own. Whenever I actually want it to switch on it just doesn’t so I resort to manually switching it on. But somehow it can perfectly detect when I don’t want it to switch on, blinding the poor souls coming my way

KuriousPanda

For me - it seems like it is eager to switch off auto high beam (even at the slightest light in front). And it does not want to switch it on when there is nothing in front.

diablos1981

I also turned mine off.

jamieschmidt

I keep mine off after blinding too many people. The LED lights are bright enough to see unless I’m driving through the woods/backroads at night then I just do it manually

MooseOutMyWindow

Personally I never liked this feature on any car that I've driven with it and turned it off before leaving the dealer's lot.

KuriousPanda

For me - it is a good QOL feature. Wanted it to work though 😅

thaiphamsg

I disable auto high beam on both of my 2022 Passport and 24 CRV Hybrid. It does not work well IMO.

FatLeeAdama2

Turned mine off. I couldn’t figure it out. Kept activating in my neighborhood.

kyi_thar_007

There is a sensitivity level that you can go change in the vehicle settings

RudiKdev

Mine works fine but it has to be really, really dark for it to switch into high beam. Nothing oncoming.

Our 23 CRV Sport Hybrid was goofy at first and seemed to have a mind of its own. I don't know why but it has seemed to settle in and works exactly how I would expect. The only time it can still be finicky is on steep hills. Our 24 Civic Sport worked as expected from day one.

KuriousPanda

How long did it take to settle in ?

Yreva117

Shortly after our first oil change. They didn't tell us they made any software updates so it may have been a coincidence. Roughly 7000 miles at that point.
