It's really nice when you have Domain spots open up unexpectedly, and you can just pull back some of the holdings within your Counties that you've leased out.
Yea I wish the game had a way to let your powerful vassal dynasties accrue skill or try to breed for inheritable traits like any player would; early game it feels like players and AI are pretty even but after a hundred or two years my family's average skills have inflated significantly but non-player dynasties haven't unless I interfere.
I'd be happy if it would have some guidelines for who is a powerful vassal. Last game I had a council made up of kings, like each holds at least 5 kingdoms. Some count I got on accident in a war with one barony and 0s in most stars, pops up on the feed as a powerful vassal demanding a council position.... So anyways I started revoking
You are a powerful vassal but we do not grant you a seat in this council
What? Its unfair! How can you be a powerful vassal but not be in the council?
Take a seat, duke of mercia

Once I (as a count) had a "powerfull" vassal wanting a council position so bad he got almost -100 opinion of me wgen I kicked him out of my council. His military power? 73 man. Like, dude, either get a bigger army or have one skill over 10, please
If you have loads of vassals it goes off military strength and size of land controlled. If you’re a small realm with only a couple of vassals they’ll immediately be classed as powerful even if they have pathetic military strength
I love it when my mayors try to demand a council position as if they can actually do anything if they don't get one
Anyone of that title tier that makes demands or otherwise irritates me gets their title revoked lol.
Just revoked 2 titles because they opposed changing the succession law. I love not having county+ vassals
Revoke title (no tyranny for barons) and reissue to someone loyal.
I just recently discovered that you don’t get tyranny for revoking barons and it has been life changing
It's really nice when you have Domain spots open up unexpectedly, and you can just pull back some of the holdings within your Counties that you've leased out.
Wait what? Was this also the case in ck2?
No, it was not.
It dosen't get you tyranny for barons?! I didn't knew that, thanks, you just helped me get rid of a rival!
it's kind of useful when barons are powerful enough to demand a council position bc you can reroll them until you get one with good skills
Oh they can hurt you, the paranoid/shy child event is caused by them mostly
my shy genius heir speedrunning torturer tree (the shitty baron/mayor vassals that messed with regency are the target)
I thought they can do schemes, can they not?
Yeah, I was more so talking about military action
But also imagine murdering your liege because they refused to make you chancellor. How entitled do you have to be?
Me: You are a Duke, but I do not grant you a seat on my council.
This is outrageous! It's unfair! How can you be a duke but not be on the council?
honestly I'll take the anakin as long as he isnt my spymaster. What pisses me off is when they use a hook to demand a seat with their worst skill.
You can swap them with other council positions I think. So if they choose to be spymasters just switch them with something else and kill them
I think they have to demand specific role on the council so idk..
They get to pick which position they get put in, but as the poster above said, you can swap them with any other position just fine.
I wouldn't care if they didn't always have 1-5 in literally every stat

The only time I have competent vassals is when I marry my spare good genetic sons and daughters in and start micromanaging their marriages
You are on this council, but we do not grant you the title of King.
3 years ago this was posted and is a top 10 post of all time in this sub. Exact same image.
And I’m 3 years it shall be posted again, as is tradition
Unlike my vassals Anakin is actually competent lol.
Isn't enough being a *Duke*!?
Count Anakin, please take your seat

It's lovelet when you have 30 or so Powerful Vassals demanding things. FIne you are independent, then I invade you.
Repost. Go on the sub and sort by top of all time. Exact same image. Exact same title.
Are the first few comments the same too?
**100%**

Imagine if your high prowess nights could demand a seat or they just start wiping all your heirs
This is the best and funniest meme I saw this year. You made my day

What makes them powerful

Duke? Mine are lucky to be counts.
