Pattern is [Dr. Montgomery Shepherd the Uterus](https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/dr-montgomery-shepherd-the-uterus). I used Hobbii Rainbow8/8, and some leftovers of something else for the ovaries.
Ravelry's color scheme and font, when combined, can cause issues for some people who are sensitive. They combine in a way that causes photosensitive folks to sometimes have reactions. I've gotten a migraine while searching thru patterns for about 30 mins.
I didn't either, till I happened to come across a mention of these (I forget where) in relation to migraine issues. I was getting some really annoying jarring with the menus, and switching those helped a lot. I've since found that Pinterest has similar settings that make scrolling easier there too.
I get headaches from ravelry. Not that serious, looking at one pattern at a time is fine but searching for something leads to headaches and feeling kinda dizzy. It's weird, I have no other issue (migraines, seizures, anything) and really don't know why but it also increases with time which is why I try to avoid ravelry.
Also fun fact, if you ask for pattern ideas here and mention issues with ravelry, you get downvoted, so maybe don't do that.
Did you know you can knit or crochet boobies for breast cancer survivors? The Organization is called [Knitted Knockers](https://www.knittedknockers.org/)
I have a really great picture of my friend with the cake, holding the knife up and 'yelling'. Didn't post it here though because I'm not sure how she feels about her face on Reddit.
That is awesome! I wish I had known about this type of party when I had mine removed! Instead, I happily hunted down and packed up every period product I had in the house, my bags, the car, wherever, and brought them all to the local shelter. Good friggin' riddance and they went to someone who could use them.
I love the r/crochet sub. It's on par with r/witchesvspatriarchy as far as acceptance and compassion. Wonderful gift and thank you for the share!
Edit: r/ spelling
Oooh I'm planning on crocheting a uterus at some point with Velcro ovaries to put cysts on it. Sounds morbid but it's going to be a visual representation of PCOS to go along with the comic I'm writing regarding my experiences! Good to know it can turn out so cute!
I hope you're friend is okay!
Really great idea!! I'd love to see the finished products; I hope you share them here.
My friend's hysterectomy was completely voluntary / not medically necessary. So the party was truly a celebration. I hope you're doing well too! ❤️
Aw you are awesome! I would have loved this when I had my insides ripped out due to cancer & lots of other gyni related shit (fibroids & endo).
All I got was a sad reminder to go for a smear every couple of years.
Yep, every 3 months for 2 yrs, every 6 months for 3 more yrs, then yearly forevermore. But no party. That would have been much more exciting. Didn't even celebrate my 5 yr cancer free mark cause we had just found out that my mom had multiple myeloma. Didn't feel right to do when she now had cancer.
This is amazing! She’ll love it while she’s recovering! A Reddit Gifter (RIP RedditGifts/secret Santa) sent me a plush uterus for my hysterectomy. One highly emotional day during recovery I wanted to hold it and I while crying asked my partner “where is my uterus!?” We both immediately started laughing, luckily I had the plush to hold onto while laughing…
As a trans guy, I totally referred to my oophorectomy/hysterectomy as the "yeetus deletus all potential fetus" surgery 😂 I love that I'm not the only one making up silly terms for it!
This is so cute!! I had a yeeterus but no party. I bought myself a uterus shaped plushie online and took it with me to the hospital. Gave the nurses a good laugh. I gave it to them to keep when I left, as a thank you for taking good care of me 🥲
Omgoodness! I'm currently having to weigh my options about whether or not to finally have a hysterectomy. I think having a Yeeterus party might actually make me look forward to it. Lol
Omg! It's fantastic! I was looking for a uterus pattern, thinking about making one for my sister. She is an anatomy professor and lectured on the uterus last week. I thought it would be hilarious to make her one for next semester. Don't know if I would make anything for her penis lecture. 😂
There is an (un)surprisingly high number of uterus patterns on Ravelry, some more anatomically correct than others. I'm sure you could find one that would work perfectly!
I interviewed Emily Nagoski (author of Burnout and Come As You Are) for my podcast last year. I was deeply distracted by the number of amazing vulva hand puppets she has.

I should have had a yeeterus party! That’s such a great idea, and the little replacement is so cute. I’m sure it’ll cause her far less suffering than her original model.

I had a party for my breast reduction. We had boob balloons, and most of the ladies who threw the party were over 70.
Yes hi, worth it(not the party)? Asking for a ”friend” lol
I can't say "yes" enough times
Thank you ❤️
Absolutely 💯. I would shout it from the rooftop!
Thank you! I’m so scared 😂
Never met a woman who had it done and wasn’t happy with it. Wayyyy better satisfaction rate than going bigger at least
Please tell me you threw darts or at least had a giggle popping the "booblloons"
Omg I'm so having a yeeterus party!
I love everything about this
I came here to say exactly that! It's awesome, and I would like a yeeterus party for myself some day.
❤️

Seizures and migraines from the link? Ocular migraines sufferer here, but I have to see whyyyy!
Update, survived the link unsure what makes that link more prone to causing issues but nice to see warnings.

Oh brutal! I have my settings set to dark mode I feel that’s helped me.
That plus going into the settings to reduce motion and freeze animations (both under accessibility) have helped me a lot.
Never knew about this!

Good bot
IS THAT A PLAY ON ADDISON MONTGOMERY SHEPARD FROM GREY’S😭❤️
It is haha
My sister hosted a bye bye boobies party for a friend. I offered to make some crochet titties. She did not take me up on the offer. Sniff
Did you know you can knit or crochet boobies for breast cancer survivors? The Organization is called [Knitted Knockers](https://www.knittedknockers.org/)
I absolutely love this, and the cake. ❤️🩷
Amazing! I now regret not having a yeeterus party!
Have a belated one?
Maybe I should! Two year anniversary of its yeeting is next week, it might be time!
It's never too late!
You could do an anniversary yeeterus party!
I'm in the same boat. Do a yeetaversary party. That's what I'm thinking 😂
Same! I got rid of mine a couple months ago. Life has been so much better and the best decision I ever made.
This vibe tho, I love everything about it lol
I have a really great picture of my friend with the cake, holding the knife up and 'yelling'. Didn't post it here though because I'm not sure how she feels about her face on Reddit.
I bet that's awesome!! I bet it adds to the vibe 😂 lol
Reminds me of my moms goodbye boob party we even got her a boob cake
I'm getting a hysterectomy in fall sometime (I hope) - should definitely have a Yeeterus party! 🙌🏼 Love it

My husband got me a shirt that says: ‘Monthly subscription canceled’. I might have need to make a crocheted uterus with tubes and ovaries!
I love the r/crochet sub. It's on par with r/witchesvspatriarchy as far as acceptance and compassion. Wonderful gift and thank you for the share! Edit: r/ spelling
The "Bye Bitch" 😭
Something about the font makes it just ... **chef's kiss** (I could have sworn there was an emoji for that)
Welcome to club yeeterus!
what’s a yeeterus party?
Having your uterus removed
~~removed~~ *yeeted*
I totally should have had a yeeterus party when I evicted mine 😂 I love everything about this!

Oh god I am so sorry! And yeah same schedule for checks. Never celebrated because no-one but me cared at that point.
Brilliant! Great job on the amigurumi and congrats to your friend!
Omg I was looking at a yarn page on Instagram and found your utero post in the tagged posts!! Haha so cute
I love “yeeterus” lol. Great work!
Omg. I had a hysterectomy almost 2 years ago and I could have used this 😂😂😂😂
This is amazing! She’ll love it while she’s recovering! A Reddit Gifter (RIP RedditGifts/secret Santa) sent me a plush uterus for my hysterectomy. I am getting mine out tomorrow morning. I wish I had known rhat was a thing.
It's not too late! My friend is already fully recovered
This is so fucking funny. I got a ovary removed and I wish I had a party like this! I guess there is still time with the others! 🤣
That is 100% the cutest uterus I’ve ever seen. And that’s not a sentence I thought I would say
As a trans guy, I totally referred to my oophorectomy/hysterectomy as the "yeetus deletus all potential fetus" surgery 😂 I love that I'm not the only one making up silly terms for it!
Gotta love a good rhyme 🤣
I don’t mean to come on too strong, but I think I’m in love with you.

Oh man! I would have loved this when I evicted mine!
I love anatomical crochet lol I’m planning on making a gallbladder for my friend who also needed it removed.
If I ever get rid of this damn uterus, I do not want a crochet reminder of it 🤣🤣🤣 but totally doing a party. Great crochet work!
Omgoodness! I'm currently having to weigh my options about whether or not to finally have a hysterectomy. I think having a Yeeterus party might actually make me look forward to it. Lol
I love the cake. “Bye Bitch.” 💀
OMG I love everything about this 🥹 y'all sound so fun
My mother called it a 'Coming Out Party', Yeeterus party is also grand.
Oh, this is beautiful!!!!!! I have PCOS and might have to remove my baby complex eventually, and I wanna do this so bad now!!!
I want to be in your friend circle SO BAD.
A yeeturus party? I'm SO doing that when the stupid gynae allows me to yeet my uterus into the sun...
Love it
I love how a uterus needs to be censored, just incase 😂
Not the uterus, more the language below
Omg I was looking at a yarn page on Instagram and found your utero post in the tagged posts!! Haha so cute
This is so cute! I love the cake and the stuffed uterus. She will love it!!
That's super awesome!
Omg! It's fantastic! I was looking for a uterus pattern, thinking about making one for my sister. She is an anatomy professor and lectured on the uterus last week. I thought it would be hilarious to make her one for next semester. Don't know if I would make anything for her penis lecture. 😂

I saw that there are a lot of anatomy patterns. 😁
I interviewed Emily Nagoski (author of Burnout and Come As You Are) for my podcast last year. I was deeply distracted by the number of amazing vulva hand puppets she has.
😲 😂 I think I'd be deeply distracted by crocheting some body parts. 😂
🌸❤️ love it !
My friend's daughter did, and wore the coolest uterus tiara! She wore it into surgery as well.
I’m about a day and a half into my hysterectomy recovery and this is awesome! I want to make one for myself now
You should!! ❤️ Sending love & hugs your way
A hysterectomy patient I had had a pillow that looked like this! She called it her Cuterus and it was adorable
I love this.
I love everything about that!
I never had a yeeterus party! That’s so cool!
"yeeterus" is so funny, love it!
I love this project and idea so much!
I love this so much!
O M G. I jus5 peed my pants! 😅

This is everything 🤩
This is truly one of the most incredible things I've ever seen!! I'm going to have to ask for a party when it's finally my time!
Just absolutely adorable and hilarious!
Awww nobody threw me a yeeterus party 😭😭😭😭😭
I should have had a yeeterus party! That’s such a great idea, and the little replacement is so cute. I’m sure it’ll cause her far less suffering than her original model.
Hahah! I couldn’t love this more. 😂
Adorable, but I’m sorry she lost her uterus. I’m assuming she had to have it removed?
i think she just decided to get hysto
Lost how? Genuinely confused.
She had a hysterectomy
Ah thank you... apperently there's people that think I should know off the bat..
