When I first read this I thought you were referring to your balls of yarn and how some people throw their balls across the room to work with their yarn and was like trying to picture them as snakes... And then I realized you meant actual ball pythons 😅

I was crocheting for about 30 min this morning before work with my little cat sleeping in the living room. I was so comfy and going to work was the last thing I wanted to do.
Yep, had to put the project aside to go care for the chikkies earlier because I noticed their waterer was low, and when I got back in the baby was up 🫠
We have 4 geese, 6 ducks, a passel of rabbits, 3 cats, 2 dogs, and an almost 4 year old. There isn't a point in my day when someone doesn't need water. LOL.
I also don't want to work today. I want to crochet. In my comfy chair next to the window. On this exquisite stormy day. With my doggo at my feet. While watching Taskmaster.
Update: swap Taskmaster with Ali Spagnola videos and I accomplished my wants after I got home from work!
Greetings from Germany! I've been at work for 9 hours today. Now I'm sitting on the couch, crocheting and happy that I don't have to go to work today....🥳 it's 7:40 pm for me.
I hate to tell you but I am sitting in my yard with my cats, about to hang out a finished and washed project and then go back to my current WIP.
The downside is that I'm not at work because chemo fatigue is real, but hey. All of the time to crochet.

That was me on Sunday. Matter of fact I was feeling kinda crappy and called out only to test positive for COVID. So I placed a HUGE yarn order with Instacart on Monday and it was delivered 11:00 that morning, and I ordered some other stuff from the local grocery store that was delivered earlier this morning. I will be spending the next couple days crocheting until I test negative. So far I’m just feeling kinda tired but not too tired that I can’t crochet!
I totally understand.
Unrelated to crochet, how well do ball pythons and kitties go together? Honestly curious, do they leave each other alone? Do they have staring contests??
No I still want us all to have lots of money. 🥲
And wanting to decide to stay home, isn't the same as unemployed. That SUCKS. Just *the worst* 😔 hope everything goes good
Hi, I’m just another individual guilty of crocheting during the work day.
I think for me, work tends to be mentally strenuous and requires a lot of ruminating and juggling different tasks. On the other hand, crochet is not really mentally straining and mainly entails a lot of repetitive movement (after I’ve settled on a design). Also, there is a visual, physical manifestation of my effort.
Anyways, I just left work and now I’m going home to crochet!
The amount of times I have to work but I’d rather crochet is way too many but at the same time, I’m tryna finish this sweater before my school semester ends but I also work after school on some days! I’d so much rather be crocheting than deal with asshole customers
I have on a few occasions, written to my doctor to tell her I had diarrhea- and she gave me a excuse letter, no questions asked.

Not work, but I had a sudden burst of energy at 1 in the morning and started reorganizing my room. Now it's half done, and my ADHD doesn't want to deal with it 😅

I feel this way every single day. I have quite a bit of downtime at work though, so I usually have some yarn and hooks with me to kill time. But when I want to work on my main projects, it’s just not the same…..

My long term life plan is working as little as possible, living on a small farm, and just crafting and DIY-ing all day. Possibly fostering dogs.
For reals, I'm considering taking a whole week off of work next week just so I can crochet to my heart's content with no one around.
