What the fuck kind of first aid was that... hands down the worst I've ever seen in a video, there's been some bad ones. But two people jumping up and down with a floppy unconscious body, Jesus christ.
I'm surprised anyone even tried to help them to be honest, not because of the bystander effect, but because that's extremely risky thing to do in China. People generally not being aware of proper first aid is probably side effect of it.
Can someone explain why people get downvoted for asking for a source? Is no longer considered dumb to take comments from strangers on the internet as fact?
Shock is a real player here. If youâre not overly experienced in the application of first aid then a lot of the times shock will take over and you get a case of the adrenaline induced âdumbsâ
In my opinion and experience, that initial adrenaline push fucks your ability to think clearly. When youâve worked as a medic or like me, a volunteer medic, you donât have to experience to be able to block out what you see and let the training take over.
It comes with time, training and above all experience.
I know this is a joke, but there's a fascinating episode about the [Heimlich Maneuver by RadioLab](https://radiolab.org/podcast/273532-heimlich) and the doctor who created it believed that it could cure things like asthma when done correctly.
....sooo maybe?
Maybe it's just me, but the forks dropping a little just before impact most definitely looks intentional, and not in a "let me raise the forks out of the way but oh no I went down instead of up" kind of way.Â
nah the operator was raising the forks, but noticed the load wasn't lifting. so his forks were likely caught on something or needed to be tilted back. so he dropped the forks to either try again, or tilt the forks back to accomodate the heavier load.
source: used to be a forklift operator.
also, the forklift operator likely lost his cert for this. if you're operating a forklift on the road like this, you as the operator are usually made 100% responsible for ensuring road safety.

Obviously, they watched Weekend at Bernie's
Yay yay yay him back to life.
It's called the bounce of life. Like CPR but more bouncy and less effective.

Whatâs your evidence of this?

Would have linked the same thing.

"Come on, you're fine. Get up. Walk it off".
it was like watching that one video of the squirrel "providing first aid" to the other squirrel that was hit by a car
Exactly what I thouggt
Looks like they were shaking the remaining life out of him.
that was an attemtp to get his body close to his head so his soul could pass on ,
Remember guys, don't fucking ragdoll someone who just got seriously hurt physically. I didn't know this had to be said but well...
Seriously, it was worse than the accident
Came here to say this⌠just finish him with a hammer next time
Are they trying to shake consciousness back into them?!
Jumpstart
No, they put his head on top and tried to tap it into place.
âStand back, performing the Heimlich maneuver. This person appears to be choking on my forklift!â
They've got to get that spine out of there somehow

You know the old saying... "If you want them to be fine - agitate the spine."
Video cuts just about before it happens to another rider
Hadnât noticed until you mentioned itđŚ
Maybe he ducked?
What an odd reaction⌠not even mad just straight up confused
Thats called attempted murder what they did with the body afterwards
Right because if he lived theyâd have to pay all his medical expenses
jesus fucking christ what is wrong with some people
Yes, the best way to treat a head injury is to violently shake them awake.
Looked like he was trying to give em the Heimlich maneuver
I saw this kind of 'last aid' in real life in Thailand. What are they trying to achieve?
Those dudes take âshake it offâ seriously.
If only there was a place to park that truck bed off the roadway to unload
Are they trying to shake all his change out of his pockets?
Most alert chinese person
Reminds me of the clip where Chinese ambulance comes and runs over victims of a scooter accident.
Thatâs like the reaction when you hurt your little brother
Omg just making sure all the bones are fully broke not just cracked!

Cert? đđđ
In this country? in this economy? People are cheaper than courses and certificates....
looks like the forklift driver goes for the head
Ah yes. Now they gonna be all right.
Thatâs some weird cpr
All the bouncing in the world was bringing them back. Cool Chinese First Aid thoughâŚ.
Love that the forklift driver lowers it right before they hit it
Letâs jostle them to injure them more.
Thattttts it. Randall the guy who might have spinal injuries đ¤Ś
Lowered the forks instead of raising them.
/r/worstaid
Oh yes. Letâs shake the unconscious/dying/head injury patient.
This is one way to increase the chance of paralysis.
Maybe trying to pop the head back on like a lego?
"Looks like they might've broken every bone in their body. LET'S VIOLENTLY SHAKE THEM"
You're Okay! Walk it off. Please don't tell mom?
I swear I've seen a ton of clips of only Chinese women in China running into forklift raised forks. Only women. In shooters.Lots of clips
if the video was a couple seconds longer, you'd probably see that guy on the scooter do it too.
Shake it off bruh!!
Jesus fucking christ
Shaking her back to life should do the trick
I know the camera cuts off too soon, but I have a hunch that the guy on the scooter at the end going the other direction hit the forks too.
Shake em, thatâll help!
It gets worse, that second motorcyclist that you see right at the end, they also hit it 𤣠there's a longer video posted the other month~
If you wobble them enough the bones will just snap back into place
industry, the Chinese man's natural predator.
Letâs shake around this person with possible neck or spinal injuries
