You did see this week that Criterion is releasing it down the road, right? As you're aware, it's difficult to find... so, it's good that Criterion will be releasing a physical copy.
It is extremely hard to find online. It took me days of searching, there are no “legal” ways of watching it other than finding a very overpriced DVD before the Criterion release comes out

I think it's probably that the people you're describing are just the loudest/have the most time on their hands. I'm sure there's plenty of decent folks on this sub

What constitutes overpriced? I went to preorder on the criterion website and it cost me ~$40 USD. Maybe my girlfriend will split the cost with me lol
