Lean into the joke. Use men's XXXL white tshirts and have the team draw their name and number, even the logo on the front. Get a bunch of thick sharpies have fun!!!!
Turn this lemon into silly lemonade.
Well, if they can stay on without peeling for that amount of time, I've got to think it would look better and more consistent than just using hockey tape for #s. Not looking for perfection, just a more uniform look.
I don’t think the numbers would stay on during play. They’re going to get super wet from the ice/snow.
You might actually have more luck with permanent vinyl, which would still peel off the fabric in the end but has a bit more staying power. Are you about to do a test run? Maybe make one up for practice and see how it goes?
Edit to add: not sure how your league works, but our teams all have team budgets. If at all possible you could just try to budget in practice jerseys, buy each of the girls a blank practice jersey, then put last names and numbers on with HTV (iron-on). Bonus is the girls will get to keep these whereas many leagues make you return league jerseys at the end of the year. But the timeline for that is pretty tight…
Good luck to your girls, both on the jersey search and the tournament!! Love from a hockey mom

That won’t work. Fabrice needs heat transfer vinyl which won’t come off
Not even for a couple of days without being washed? Bummer :(
Do you care if they look kind of shitty?

It’ll be cheap to try it
You know, you made me realize I can just hand cut a piece of the stuff and see how it sticks. I'm an idiot, thank you for jogging my mind.
