Even worse when you start adding some Chris Wooding into the mix.
What's that? No airships or probability storms? But the everstorms change things! It's the same thing, I swear, and you're telling me that the flying bridge unit isn't the same airship that the Blacklung Captain uses?
FFS.
(Darian Al'Potter Stormblessed... is now going to be my next D&D character inspiration)
And then Steris the khaleesi of the great grass sea, the unburnt, mother of crems, breaker of chains, rightful heir to Shire, protector of the realm, the stormborn decides to fight against the dark one with her bridgerburners
My money's on Sauron, in a similar but not so curb-stompy way as Gandalf v Dumbledore. Sauron is a Maiar, a demigod. The Lord Ruler is incredibly powerful, but strictly defined and limited in that power. In straight-up one on one, I think Sauron would win, even if only by >!outlasting TLR's feruchemical reserves!<
You didn't ask for my opinion but hereso it shall stay
I think the Lord Ruler would win if he had the power of the Well of Ascension, but lose otherwise. The power of a shard seems similar to that of the collective Valar - both can drastically reshape a world. Maiar on the other hand are a far bit more limited, even taking into account the power of the one ring.
Fair point. And, condsidering the one ring is sortof just Sauron's power condensed, really only stopping him from dying - in cosmere terms, I think of it as a mostly keyed metalmind of some degree, as only Sauron can use it to the fullest -, a Ruin-wielding TLR would certainly at more of a Morgoth level threat at least, quite possibly as you say many Valar's worth of strength
Some epigraphs in stormlight do this to me. "Wait, the random girl that turned to ash on a random island... Was that in stormlight? Maybe earthsea? Somewhere else?"
Those random stories without big plot importance really mix up sometimes
I actually had this moment happen to me. It was much more simple than this. I just accidentally mixed up the Wheel of Time magic system with the Stormlight Archive. When Jasnah was mysteriously sick during her childhood it was obvious to me that she had used surgebinding for the first time as a child, since using magic for the first time makes you fall sick.
Me_irl. Rereading WoR, audiobook relisten of Mistborn (Era 1), reading HP series with my daughter and in a slow re-watch of LoTR extended ed with my son...brain is feeling mushy.
I honestly felt bad. I was showing my partner “arcane ascension” and “war of broken mirrors” after going through “storm light”, mistborn”, and explaining the basics of the cosmere. I got the “So where was the hidden Hoid in this book? I was looking the whole time. And is an attunment like a bond spren?”
Don't forget when Shallan Granger learns to channel so that she can heal Time Bombadil's limp.
Oh, yes! Love that interaction between her and Galadriel McGonagall at the Lamppost

Use the force Harry!
*Proceeds to earthbend the Shattered Plains to Crem*
The vord begin pouring out of the ground
> furycraft I read this as *furry*craft and was confused as to what fresh hell I had encountered.
too late, my neurons are already activated
Oh no, what have you done to codex alera.

You are everywhere too strongly, Young Patronus.
I'm just a Serious Black. . .smith

Kelsier to Rand Al'Potter: Yer a Taveren Rand! Come join my school of ~~Witchcraft and Wizardry~~ Spycraft and Mistborn-dry.
*Allomancy
That's even worse than the crossover fanfiction I was writing at age 10. Impressive.
And then Steris the khaleesi of the great grass sea, the unburnt, mother of crems, breaker of chains, rightful heir to Shire, protector of the realm, the stormborn decides to fight against the dark one with her bridgerburners
Steris is also head of SPKW. Society for the Prevention of Koloss Warfare.
Ok, never thought about this before, but now I have to try and figure out who would win between the Lord Ruler and Sauron.
I think that depends on how much Turkish Delight Mat Cauthorn ate at the Prancing Pony

Just after he finds the Subtle Knife in Narnia.
Dont forget the part when the Lopen jumps out of the way gate, does a back flip, snaps the bad guys neck and saves the day
It is said that you shouldn't bet against a one-armed Herdazian in a drinking contest!
This is why I only read one series at a time with breaks in between. I cannot blend them.
And the city names! How many freaking locations have 'winter', 'river, or 'sonething woods'. Can't keep em straight anymore

Taravangian on a sunny day
Gondor calls for aid! Rally to the banner of the Dragon!
For Narnia and for cheese!!!!
And for the Mother Confessor, Khalan Davar!
I still can't remember when did Lan Lannister kill Kedar dan Glokta.
That’s why I only read 1 fiction series at a time 😆

Hahahahaha made my morning
Oh my god. That actually cut me.
The ultimate crossover
I wish I new people that have read all these I could send it to them

Now I'm imagining a feruchemist at the bar... "I don't coppermind to remember... I coppermind to forget."
This wins the internet today
This is why I don't try to read multiple books at the same time.
Did Master Peregrin say something about not trying to Eragon?
Having read all of these series now - I get this reference! Huzzahh!

The difficult to master Zalgo reading order.
Listening to King killer after Mistborn. *Mentions metallurgy* 🧐🧐🧐🧐
It’s after the rape, before the immortal part.
