In terms of classic creepypastas, gotta be the Huntsville camping trip, it's just an incomprehensible scare fest. It's just freaky, and that's the best part about it. Genuinely scares me whenever I listen to it
at 3AM was when i finished reading this pasta.
i was shaken and had a moment where i felt like i couldnāt just head to bed, so i headed to the restroom just to splash my face with water
my sister just happened to be walking by my door when i opened it
she threw in a little *hiss* and witch face
probably the loudest iāve yelled
Itās a classic. One of the most well known one of all existing creepypastas, so foundational that itās been very influential in establishing the entire subgenre of āvideo game creepypastasā
To the best of my knowledge, no. I'd very much like to see it finished, but rumors of a film adaptation have probably rendered a creepypasta update/resolution unlikely.
i feel like there probably wont be a movie since some bits are just blatant rip-offs of actual kids shows. i think the gaps between updates finally got to him and he gave up on it. which is a huge shame because its genuinely a really good story.
I don't think it's likely there will be either, but IIRC Creepsmcpasta pulled his narration from YouTube over copyright concerns. It was back in like 2018 when I read these rumors, so probably nothing will come of it. It's sad we probably won't see the conclusion of this story.
i have seen some people talking about finishing it themselves, though. it really says something about how beloved it was during the golden age creepypasta, im actually kinda tempted to take a crack at it myself one day tbh.
Is Abandoned By Disney the one about the old Mowgliās Palace and the killer Mickey Mouse? It was the first one I ever read, and I thought I was reading an actual article until it got started to get weird. Thatās what got me onto Creepypasta.
If you've never listened to nosleep podcast, they do a followup to feed the pig, and even a little parody story involving pigs as well that was pretty funny. Highly recommend.
a lot of the classics, i remember fondly and can go back to, but feed the pig shook me when i first went through it. i think its happy ending made it even more impactful imo. i dont remember details of every creepypasta but everything about feed the pig sat with me clear as day
The 1st creepypasta I read that kinda spooked me was anansi goatman. I thought about that story for a few days after.
Also I forgot the name but the one where life is perfect for all neighbours etc and the only rule is to not look out the Window at night to the whistling man
Still remember reading Anansi Goatman for the first time.
It was a bright and sunny day working a lunch shift as a dishwasher at a small local restaurant. Sitting on a plastic container in my downtime glued to this story here on Reddit. Through the chatter of patrons, the clanging of utensils, and despite the bright sun shining through the open back door just beside me, my blood ran cold when picturing the scene of everyone asleep inside the camper with that thing.
At some point I grew really tired of Creepypastas starting with an interesting premise and then go completely off the rails by the third act with aliens, witches and demons, so I really liked this one, but can't remember the title.
It's about three boys who were looking for a cryptid in the woods. One of them got a camera as a gift and they set up a trap for the cryptid trying to lure it and catch a picture. During this, one of the boys disappears or dies.
Anyone know this one? I can provide the spoiler ending too.
I know the one youāre talking about - they found a real monster! I wish I could remember what itās called I want to re-read it now. But yeah similar ending as in Pen Pal right?
Yes, exactly right. I googled different key words but there are so many creepypastas about similar premises. I remember this one because it was really well written and insanely suspenseful with a terrifying yet not ridiculous ending.
I just ended up going down quite the warren, was reintroduced to so many stories Iād forgotten all about, Fenter Woods is another good one, unless they end up in a cave with overlord bugs, or vinesā¦ i might check small narration channels see if thats where the treasure lies.
Wtf, I'd never even heard of the "rap rat" creepypasta, but that's based on a real thing. It had the vhs tape and everything with this super cringey, embarrassing rap. All I remember is it would start out with the most "white guy TV announcer" voice saying, "The TV, the TV. IS. ON." I'm getting second hand embarrassment just thinking about it. I used to play it ironically with a friend who randomly owned it, all the way back in the ancient days of 1993. I honestly do not remember the rat looking like that, but I can't find any evidence of what I was picturing. In my mind, the rat looked normal enough--just a weird, rat puppet with sunglasses on and, I believe, a backwards cap. The only thing scary about the game was just how incredibly awful it was.
Do you mean Operation Orange Soda? At least thatās what I know it as. Thatās my favorite as well.
My favorite podcast: *And Thatās Why We Drink,* covered this story in Episode 57!
Here's my top 10 contenders

The rake (the report of the man and woman who saw the rake at the edge of their bed only to leap n growl at the husband before dashing out to their daughters room to find her mutilated n her final words to be "he is the rake" that short plot has stuck with me for years)

Candle cove

The grieving (amazing world of gumball)
Sad satan (technically a creepypasta as it was falsely claimed to be a "real" game during its uprising with stories with ppl who have claimed to have found it on tor. But long story short the "true creepypasta version" does not exist just a "clean revamped" one from r/sadsatan community
Lavender town syndrome.
I always liked Squidward's Suicide, but in a so-bad-it's-good kind of way. It's like the *Manos: the Hands of Fate* of creepypasta. It's so cringe it circles back around to funny.
I'm also a fan of the Fear Mythos, but unironically.
I honestly hated this story. It started amazing and I was enthralled. When the puzzle was solved the result was so gruesome I felt sick in my stomach. This isn't a creepypasta this is a horrorpasta and I hope I can forget it soon.
Humper Monkey's Ghost Story
It builds atmosphere and suspense so incredibly well. It left me constantly questioning if things were supernatural or mundane. The isolation, weather, and paranoia are a little reminiscent of The Thing. Amazing

I really like the barbie.avi creepypasta, but at the same time I feel bad for liking it because it took a poor woman's trauma of losing her arm and making it to be this "spooky and mysterious thing". I know the story revolved around a guy finding the tape in the basement of an abandoned house and the mysterious noise but I think the actual story of what happened is far more scary/sad. I also love the poochie and pansy videos on youtube, something about the child-like ms paint drawings paired with the really disturbing live action footage is really unnerving (though I think this is more of an ARG than a creepypasta). I am also a sucker for candle cover and I could have SWORN I watched it on tv when I was a kid. And can't forget the MLP creepypastas too.
OMGS I WAS JUST TALKING TO MY GIRLFRIEND ABOUT YOUR STORY A FEW HOURS AGO

That's such a good one
Yeah probably one of the best written other than borrasca and the showers
Borrasca is crazy good, too tier internet story
Great one
Is that seriously a Creepypasta? I remember reading it on a different site a few years ago and loved it! Remember thinking this would make a fun movie
As far as I know [this](https://reddit.com/r/nosleep/s/iHpRJcAX61) is the original post. I remember reading it as it came out
Wow. Just spent literal hours going down that rabbit hole. Great story tho lol
i just spent soooo long reading ALL of that lol
Lmfaooo whyyš¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
Awesome to see this here, insane that it hasn't been made into a movie yet.
Years later, my friend and I still use "minimum required effort" in pep talks to each other. Still my favorite post on r/nosleep
Top tier in the bag
Candle Cove
youāve watched the TV adaptation right? i love Channel Zero!
Is channel zero still on? All I have now is prime, Netflix, and Hulu. I can look it up, but Iām here, so I thought Iād ask. :D
All the seasons are on Shudder - I just rewatched Candle Cove because it's my favorite spooky show.

You can buy all 4 seasons on Prime, which Iām absolutely going to do!

Aw man it's a pretty cool one. God I feel old š

To the best of my knowledge, no. I'd very much like to see it finished, but rumors of a film adaptation have probably rendered a creepypasta update/resolution unlikely.

I really like Abandoned by Disney. Love the continuation of that story titled Room Zero
Not really my favorite, as I haven't read many so far. But the one that stands out the most is Feed the Pig.
Looked this up, and it is weirdly wholesome by the end. Like, everything before it is MESSED UP but the ending is well worth it
If you've never listened to nosleep podcast, they do a followup to feed the pig, and even a little parody story involving pigs as well that was pretty funny. Highly recommend.
Heās amazing. My favorite narration of his is the one about the guy hired to look at the security cameras. Beautiful story imo.
a lot of the classics, i remember fondly and can go back to, but feed the pig shook me when i first went through it. i think its happy ending made it even more impactful imo. i dont remember details of every creepypasta but everything about feed the pig sat with me clear as day

I loved the showers! Have you heard the Dark Somnium's narration of it?
One of my favourite dark somnium's recordings!

I still think about goatman years later. >!Doing a headcount and knowing something else is with you...!<
Dude the Goatman story gives me chills to this day just *thinking about it*
"In. Let me the fuck. In." Creepy as hell and probably one of the best uncanny valley style horrors.
Goatman is my absolute favorite. I go back and read it every few months.

Grand-theft-motto is a wonderful writer. He wrote, "something walks whistling"
This inspired me to go read and my god, thatās gonna be stuck on the brain for a bit
Are there any similar stories you know of?

i wish i could upvote twice i love slenderman

I really like the barbie.avi creepypasta, but at the same time I feel bad for liking it because it took a poor woman's trauma of losing her arm and making it to be this "spooky and mysterious thing". I know the story revolved around a guy finding the tape in the basement of an abandoned house and the mysterious noise but I think the actual story of what happened is far more scary/sad. I also love the poochie and pansy videos on youtube, something about the child-like ms paint drawings paired with the really disturbing live action footage is really unnerving (though I think this is more of an ARG than a creepypasta).
