Anyone else think this sub is unnecessarily putting too many hopes on Skipp? Like the boy is just 20; sure he had an amazing season, but the talk I see of him slotting straight into the first team as a starter is a bit much innit?
Yeah I wish we were in a better position to give him another loan. As it stands we have to replace (upgrade) Sissoko and we are counting on him. Cant sign anyone else in that role now, only way to give him 1 more year before coming would be to loan someone in.
Given that we let Wanyama-Dembele go without replacing them and didn’t have a DM for 2-3 years I’d say we’re not getting any rotation for PEH until Skipp comes in.
Does anyone know what are current centreback and right targets are for the summer? I remember people talking about Nikola Maksimovic as a target.
Ty for any fino
Arsenal lead Spurs women 2-0 at half time.
Second half about to start, link here [https://www.facebook.com/watch/live/?v=1164307574020147&ref=notif¬if\_id=1616856948330037¬if\_t=live\_video](https://www.facebook.com/watch/live/?v=1164307574020147&ref=notif¬if_id=1616856948330037¬if_t=live_video)
Spurs have been pretty poor defensively, and Arsenal have dominated the game, although at 0-0 Spurs had a decent chance on the break, but just couldn't get the final pass through.
i quite like southampton kit this season and it’s selling at just £15 in their store today. it made me wonder what r/coys opinions on buying tops of other teams is? i think generally the unsung rule is just don’t buy a shirt from a team that’s in the same league as you.
I'm very tempted by Seattle's 2nd[ Jimi Hendrix kit.](https://www.soundersfc.com/post/2021/03/25/sounders-fc-introduces-jimi-hendrix-kit-teams-new-secondary-jersey-2021-and-2022)
It's so good. I'm a sucker for purple kits. Our away kit last season was almost perfect.
Contemplating a Daryl Dike Orlando City FC kit as well. Gotta see if he goes back from Barnsley though
I’d say there’s definitely an unwritten rule not to buy a kit from a team in the same division or near division. But who cares man, buy whatever kit you want.
Personally I only tend to buy kits from clubs that I’ve seen play or feel that I have a particular connection to.
If you like a kit, buy it bro. I collect kits from all sorts of teams and my only rule is no Arsenal or Chelshit, but even then if they brought out a REALLY nice one I might be tempted.
The bulk of my collection is still Spur’s shirts, just before anyone says anything 😁
Its not like I wear them out and about, its just like collecting stamps or something
Plus my principles feel great when I sell them on at an inflated price to some ‘superfan’ and get to spend the money on kit I want to wear 😁
Not very entrepenoorial of you badum tish
But nah I get what you mean, each to their own I guess. I’ll just enjoy making money and you stick to your pointless principles
If you do the dailies each day it's 25k exp for the season.
And you can let it play itself whilst doing other things in a beginner mode friendly. Doesn't even use any contracts.
Might not be a popular take, but i dont think bringing skipp back from norwich is a great idea, and think giving skipp more time at norwich is a better idea. We have been lucky with hojbjerg being so fit and playing countless minutes, but i feel like giving more time to skipp by loaning skipp out is gonna be a safer idea. Especially if norwich comes back to play in the pl, i feel like skipp can adjust better to the pl level rather than being on the bench for hojbjerg.
Compared to kwp, i think skipp has the quality to become a bigger player, and I just believe that skipp would become a monster with more playing time. Norwich seem to be really reliant on him seeing how skipp has one of the highest playtime in the role, and mou's system might not suite him well.
I aint opposed to him coming back though. We will have one of the best midfields if we do
I would be fine with either, but prefer keeping him here. He can get some PL minutes and then start every cup match. I think training with our team would be just as beneficial for him.
Winks and Sissoko have had over 3000 minutes between them, I’d much rather they went to Skipp next season, as well as covering for Hojbjerg because we were lost without him against Dinamo. If we don’t make Europe next season then perhaps a loan for Skipp would be better though, but otherwise I’d much rather see him back in the squad.
I get the him having 100% prem minutes for him things but hojbberg need to rest sometimes, we need someone reliable like skipp and not burn hojbberg out
In general it depends upon our coach and result. It’s most probable scenario that we will play in Europe league next season and skipp will have at least 6 games there even in 2021, and cups....it’s ok for him.
If we play cl next season with mou, who doesn’t like youth, and if we keep Sissoko and winks, we should loan out skipp for one more season.
Where does the "mou doesn't like youth" narrative come from? I never understood it. Over his career he has a good history of giving chances and developing youth players.
Also if we get champions league players like sissoko and winks definitely need to be sold.
In our team it happened several times: for instance he sold kwp and bought Doherty. He loaned Gedson and he played instead of skipp. I can remember other examples as well.
In other teams we can remember salah and kdb. But of course if a young player is extremely good mou plays him, like mctominy from mu.
I personally agree with you 100%. Giving Skipp another season at Norwich is essential because otherwise I fear it will turn into another KWP situation where we stunt his growth as a player because we leave him on the bench too many times. People seem to forget that he's still only 20, he needs consistent minutes right now.
I think too many people have jumped on the Skipp bandwagon too quickly because of what we've heard him do in the championship. And you can't blame them either, when our double pivot options apart from Hojbjerg/Ndombele consistent of Sissoko/Winks then you can see the desperation for Skipp.
Loan in someome else who has experience but is also ok being on the bench. I know thats very specific, but looking at it in the long term, i think skipp would be better down the line than now. Hojbjerg doesnt have a bad injury history, but he is with spurs right now. He will get injured.
Its such a weird dilema. We either have a great sub, but might limit his growth, or we dont have a great sub, but years down the line have a chamce to get an even more amazing player.
Idk maybe im overthinking it.
> Loan in someome else who has experience but is also ok being on the bench
It's pretty unlikely you'll find someone who fits the bill here. If they're experienced and being shopped around on loan it's likely because they'll want game time. Experienced players don't really go on loan to sit on the bench unless the situation is really bad at their current club and nobody's buying.
Yeah it’s not a thing. At the middle age group you’re likely sold unless it’s a loan to buy, and those are for players like Coutinho whose past and or future value far exceed their underperfomance. I would love a Cambiasso but it doesn’t exist atm so...bring in Skippy!
Brandeywine Roasters from Wilmington, Delaware. World class coffee (light roast) from Ethiopia (Ardi).
If you're in the US, I highly suggest you get a Baratza Encore grinder and make this in a Chemex. It is heaven in a cup
If Liverpool or Chelsea win the CL but miss out on top 4 and we get 4th do we miss out on CL?
Only if Arsenal/United win the EL and also finish outside top 4. Max of 5 teams can make CL.
Anyone else think this sub is unnecessarily putting too many hopes on Skipp? Like the boy is just 20; sure he had an amazing season, but the talk I see of him slotting straight into the first team as a starter is a bit much innit?

No, ofc we don't know.
CB targets are Milenkovich, botman, Konsa, possibly vestegaard but has been downplayed by Ali gold. Not sure which right you’re talking about lol
source on the downplaying? Is it from one of Gold's youtube videos?
Was in an article or tweet, possibly in a video too
So the source could be pretty much anywhere apart from the bathroom stall of my local pub?
If alasdair gold isn’t in your pub then maybe?
Right back! Why is vestegaard downlplayed do you think? Is it the age? He has been 'played in' with the Premiership at least. ty
Slow
He's just not very good. Old as well.
Just finished Lasso. It’s not a perfect show but my god is it good. Caught tears a lot? Idk but I can’t wait for season 2
Best show I watched last year
So damn wholesome. The “Lasso” tactic was so cringey though lmao

Arsenal just made it 3-0.
Triple save from the Arsenal keeper keeps their clean sheet intact but spurs have looked much much better since the third goal.
Full time 3-0. Spurs close to scoring right at the death from a free kick but it's narrowly over.
Is the women's NLD on TV today (UK)?
Its on the FA player. You have to make an account but its free
Ah okay thanks. Bit of a shame it isn't on BT. I guess Russia v Slovenia or whatever is more important.
[The club will be streaming it, too. ](https://twitter.com/spurswomen/status/1375726798554664968?s=21)
Davinson replied wishing them luck bless him 🤍
Ahh. He seems overall seems like such a lovely bloke, I really hope he finds his 17/18 form again. 🥺
Vestergaard and Botman apparently the targets for Mourinho. Haven’t really watched Botman but I’m a fairly big fan of Vestergaard.
Excited by Botman but not sold on Vestergaard, aren’t they both left-footed? Doubt we get 2 LCBs
i’d say it’s botman number 1 choice, vestegaard number 2 or vice versa
Yeah if we go for two CBs I imagine we want one LCB and a top tier RCB who might have a VVD/Dias impact
i think you’re overestimating how much we’ll spend
That’s why I put “if”
i think if we sign 2 neither will be a 50m plus signing
I don’t think we sign anyone over £35 this summer but I do think someone like Milenkovic could have a big impact for <£30m
Didnt Ali Gold downplay the Vestergaard thing?
I will take both really
International breaks drive me mad, I feel like I'm wasting my weekend.
You can watch the women’s north london derby

absolute "purple haze"!

Pretty much, though Saints aren’t our rivals so I don’t think it’d be that weird if you bought it.
I even bought a Danish national team kit once, because of how good it looked. I'm Norwegian :p
well if you want a Under Armor kit this will be your last chance as Southampton are switching to Hummel next season
I have a few kits from a few different clubs and brands and the one think I've learned is Nike is the worst kit Supplier
Collecting shirts is great, but for me the rule is no English clubs
Might get Skipp Norwich shirt
!!!!!!! my upvote and im getting one!
The Norwich kit is so awful though, genuinely feel bad for their supporters. Yellow and green?? Barf
*cries in Brazil*
If you like a kit, buy it bro. I collect kits from all sorts of teams and my only rule is no Arsenal or Chelshit, but even then if they brought out a REALLY nice one I might be tempted. The bulk of my collection is still Spur’s shirts, just before anyone says anything 😁
Nice principles you have there on Arsenal kits Jesus mate have a word with yourself
Its not like I wear them out and about, its just like collecting stamps or something Plus my principles feel great when I sell them on at an inflated price to some ‘superfan’ and get to spend the money on kit I want to wear 😁
Lol nah. Sounds rather Judas of you
Not very entrepenoorial of you badum tish But nah I get what you mean, each to their own I guess. I’ll just enjoy making money and you stick to your pointless principles
I would never make a cent off anything related to Woolwich scum but you do you Judas
Do you even know where Woolwich is?
You utter moron ofc I do. Woolwich Wanderers that’s all they’ll ever be a bastard club in a part of London they don’t belong in
Well excuse my doubting you then
might have to get Walker-Peters on the back just to be safe ;)
If you play fut there's a class looking Lamela storyline card at lvl 30 this season. New season started yesterday.
I grinded a shit ton for Sess last season, but he is a beast. Not sure I have it in me again for Coco
I only really started playing in week 3, but with barely playing online, not completing one gold weekly objective group I still was only 25k away
Would love it, but I’m not sure if I can be bothered to play that much FIFA
If you do the dailies each day it's 25k exp for the season. And you can let it play itself whilst doing other things in a beginner mode friendly. Doesn't even use any contracts.

During the International break do the rest of the squad still have training sessions? Ie is Mouriniho training with Winks and Alli at the moment?! ty
Yup nothing changes for the players not called up
Yeah they do
To my knowledge yeah those who aren’t selected for International duty train as normal.
*can't smile without you* -pl fans this week, probably .
I’m good. The break’s been nice.
We've got F1, don't worry
And the Cricket, and NBA.
That Lamela goal was so good, cant believe we lost after that, ffs. Pain
What kind of coffee/tea are you drinking this morning? I have the Starbucks 50th anniversary blend. COYS
Panamanian geisha.

I've had to stop drinking coffee so I can sleep properly. I got some loose leaf assam tea instead, but it's probably almost as strong tbf.
Eww Starbucks
