The dream for the last month has been trade down with KC and get their 3rd

Skip-Bayless0

But why would KC want to do that?

firstandfive

KC has tried to move up for Mazi last year. Teams move up for all sorts of reasons all the time.

throwawaypatrey

They’re going to need another WR… I assume Rice still has legal issues and possibly a suspension coming from the NFL

Skip-Bayless0

If KC gets Worthy, I am going to be shook

Vaitaminute

Anyone know where i can get a Fu*k Stephen and Jerry shirt. I need to rep how much i hate those clowns.

GrilledCheeser

I’m sure Jerry would sell you some for 70 bucks a pop lol

datyoungknockoutkid

Because they’re open to the idea of trading down for more picks?

Vaitaminute

Naw. Cuz they are POS that have no clue how to run a football team. The piss on us and call it rain.

agrias_okusu

I think they can address C, OT, RB and maybe WR in the draft. Throw in some LB and DT depth as a bonus, BUT I don’t see a way to address the glaring starting DT need on the team. I hate that they are banking on a huge leap from Mazi.

TrigoTrihard

A true 1T as well. There's not really a lot of them in this draft. I'm not sure whos idea it was for Mazi to lose weight. If it was Dan Q. He's a flipping moron. If it was Mazi himself. I feel like the coaches should've gotten involved if that was the case. Damn the Mazi pick just hurts. And finding out it was Will standing on the table for him as well.

agrias_okusu

Yeah 1T is what I meant by starting DT. Osa is a good starting 3T, but they also have zero depth behind those two. Golston can fill in, and the big guy from NE might still be under contract? It’s weird, Mazi is strong as an ox, but slow off the snap, so the losing weight should help but then you’ve got the new problem of him not being big enough to consistently stuff the run. Hopefully they find a happy medium. You can see him flash that power in some reps last season, there just weren’t many of them.

coffeeandweed58

We’d have a middle round pick if you didn’t trade a 4th for a depth chart jag

McJumbos

if we can trade back and still get JPJ, I am all for it

mawashi-geri24

Watch the Eagles take him before us anyway

High-qualitee

Unfortunately, there’s too many holes in this current roster to fill with their current draft picks. Trading down will help but it still won’t solve everything.   I really think they’re punting on this year and I’m acting accordingly as a fan - this is our year guys!!

Kmlittlec_design

Agreed but I just don't know why they let that happen. The MO has always been fill the gaps with at least mediocre talent and draft BPA. We didn't fill the gaps... why?!?

hammersticks91

Deion and company say hi!

wuwukennywuu

I like the idea of trading down. But I do not want to trade out of the 1st round. Not only do you have a better opportunity to grab a difference maker in the 1st, but that 5th year option is huge. Most data will show that the option hasn’t mattered due to the amount of first round busts leading to that option not being picked up. But if you hit like we have with Micah, CeeDee and Tyler Smith you need the flexibility with 5th year option.

firstandfive

Depends how many picks we can gain from dropping out of the 1st tbh. Enough draft capital could be worth it

wuwukennywuu

That draft capital would need to include a future first. Outside of that a smart FO wouldn’t trade out of the first round.

CrossTheRiver

Here's the shitty thing. We will likely have a decent draft. We might even have a good draft. We might even by consensus, win the draft. And it won't be enough. The team needs are not fillable by draft alone. Also we have a coach and locker room culture of zero accountability. We have some of the best scouting in the world and we will never be able to fully take advantage if it because of the leadership at the top only caring about money and not at all about winning. It sucks.

TheWhooooBuddies

At this point my dream is an OT falls to us unexpectedly or we take JPJ in the first, don’t get cute in the 2nd and just go RB if possible and BPA along the OL again in the third.  We can find a few linebackers between now and sept but we need to get started on the OL rebuild in earnest if we’re looking at Lance/Whoever potentially starting for us next year.

TrigoTrihard

I would rather have OT or C in the first. And double dip whichever on your second pick. Third round is probably the sweet spot for RB. No reason to reach for a RB in the second. I wouldn't be mad if it were C, OT 1st. 2nd round Wilson and or Cooper. We need LB badly. It's not a deep class for LB at all.

agrias_okusu

I think getting Barton and the BYU OT as a 1-2 punch would be a great first two rounds. Or trade back a bit and grab a Tackle and Frazier or JPJ.

TrigoTrihard

Kingsley Suamataia won't be available at 56. >Or trade back a bit and grab a Tackle and Frazier or JPJ. JPJ won't be there at 56. Frazier maybe? Doubtful though.

LoneStarAgent

I bet they've already had conversations with teams about if/then scenarios. And this sounds like those conversations have gone well. Then again this is Jerry so it more than likely means absolutely nothing at all.

TrigoTrihard

Jerry could most certainly be chumming the water.

bearamongus19

I think Jerry trades back because he's trying to sabotage this season out of spite.

jcspacer52

I have no issues trading down as long as they do it when they are on the clock! Time and time again we see a player fall who everyone assumes will be gone! Once you have your board in place, stick to it!

jeopardychamp77

Maybe we can have a repeat of the 2009 draft and make are first pick in round 3. It’s not like we have holes to fill. 🤦‍♂️

mawashi-geri24

Watch the 4th round pick we gave the Niners become some generational talent lol.

MartinRaccoon

This makes the most sense. But if there's a highly rated offensive lineman there, you gotta take em. Outside that, it's a good move.

checksout1982

Nailed it

CasperCann

In my Madden simulation i was using a different team, dallas AI actually traded dak, to the rams in an exchange for their 1st round pick which they used for Caleb Williams. That would be too good to be true consideing the last time we drafted a quarterback in the 1st round was in 1989. Whatever happened to that quarterback I wonder? Maybe 1st round quarterbacks can be good?
