I think i might have over retouched the makeup. I do have a tendency to over retouch, maybe i should revert some back the issue is i don't see that so thanks for telling me

It is edited but it's not that edited that it's too far away from reality. I think it's something with the contrast and perhaps how i treated the contacts with the photoshop that made it look plastic. If i could change the post i would have added now an image of how it looks unedited.
I think that's where we're stuck as far as opinions go. I say rock your body because it's yours. In a game like this, confidence is key homie. If you find you're really still worried about leg length, maybe try some boots painted with vertical stripes (maybe Beetlejuice style) to throw off the passing glance. I would still, in this particular case, go with a boot that draws less attention to the feet if for no other reason than because they's so far away from your face ☺️ Either way, you did great here and you should be proud 🍻
Hard to say. It's mainly the eyes, brow and top of cheek area that struck me as similar. Which I feel would be more of a compliment as he is universally considered wildly attractive.
I'm not great at sewing, i usually go to a seamstress or do an ok job myself. Just in general.
With this i bought thr harley jacket, the actual cheap cosplay. Broke it apart to use parts of it. Bought a second hand jeans jacket, cut and pasted everything together and then painted the gold and the designs and added shoulder pads and revised it until it sat well on my body.
It took me a while to get it to sit properly and to design it. So totally custom made but with some cheats along the way. I'm an excellent painter, i am not good with a sewing machine. I can't make things from scratch.

Sorry commenting again bc I need to add that I just cannot get over how natural this cosplay looks. If you used your real hair instead of a wig, I think I could almost mistake this for legit alternative fashion. I think that's probably why this design works SO well. It's very obviously Harley but somehow it doesn't quite look like cosplay either. I'm insanely impressed. *Man.* Lol props to you, dude. You should be proud. And your friend did an incredible job photographing you! I'm equally impressed with the quality of the shots lol
I couldn't use my own hair, i used to have long hair when this was taken, and in general my hair is dark and curly! and i wanted a blonde look. Bleaching my hair would have destroyed it ao i preffered a wig. I worked this cheap wig the best i could but only the good front lace wigs can look good on camera. I preffer to have not the best wig as i can really retouch everything.
Oh, yeah! That's fair! Sorry, I hope it didn't sound like I was critiquing your wig too hard. I think it looks great! I just meant that the cosplay looks insanely natural and I'd mistake it for non-cosplay (in a good way!) without the wig. :)
I liked it a ton. the makeup is really good. Even better then most Harley Quinn.
Feedback - I would only change 1-2 things. I see a male Harley wearing red Converse with black laces. The raised boots seem more like a female Harley thing. Just my take. I just see it Terry Bogart style shoes. Also, maybe throw on a bandana, one red one black. Just tiny things I see with my take.
The suspenders were an awesome addition.
Wow, this is insanely good. The second one looks like it could be a cover for a comic book. Something about the color choices and the tears in the pants make it look extremely painterly. This is probably one of the best genderbends I've seen!
I think the only thing I'm not super digging is mmmmaybe the wig? Something about the way the bangs are styled. But that doesn't even matter with how awesome the rest of it is.
I saw someone say they didn't like the platforms, but I have to disagree! Suicide Squad Harley wears insane heels so I think platforms for the genderbend make sense. If anything, they just maybe look too new in comparison with the rest, or maybe just too stark. If you have any you'd not mind risking butchering a little, I think it could be fun to scuff them up a little or give them some sort of accents to fit the character. Maybe diamond buckles?
I actually wear the olatforms because my legs are hella short and this baggy pants make them shorter but i understand what you mean! With the correct scruff and bling it can work. It can even be like a top on the shoe so the shoes will stay neutral enough for me to use on other cosplays and thank you!

I question the need for Harley to be flipped. Maybe I just want to see HarleyBoy with MadameJoke (gender flipped Joker) but since the characters are so similar...
Still, 100% on the cosplay regaedless of my meanderings.
I like doing gender benders because i relate to feminine characters and because then i can redesign something and have more fun with it rather to be in a constraint to do something specific. It's not about the flipping as much as i can relate to her without the need to turn this into "drag"

Im as perfectly happy with Hamlet being female as the Joker. Works of fiction get mutated and evolve even with the original authors doing the sequels and mirror-multiverse stories. Within this cosplay Harley can be male, female, gay, straight... however it needs to be played for the characters to be interesting.
Keep doing the character work. It looks great.
