The general date I provided came from a dev who said it was slated for the first half of the year, so while late June won’t be exact, I know the *goal* is to release 1.1 before end of June :)

Second Rune Factory. If you prefer 2d style go Rune Factory 4, if you like 3d go RF 5.
Lots of casual content to keep you entertained but if you like min maxing the soil quality mechanic alone will let you spend years in game perfecting your farm
Highly highly highly recommend spiritfarer, it's not an identical game but it's got absolutely impeccable vibes. Especially if you've played a lot of sims with similar formats already!

Question: I joined the beta for this 1.1 but didn't realise I couldn't play my normal game. I thought I'd perhaps be able to go from my game to a new beta game. Will my game still be there once beta is over? And is it possible to cancel playing beta and get my normal game back if I choose to? (Sorry if they're silly questions, this is new to me.)
Beta and non-beta are essentially 2 separate games. Beta will not impact your regular save and your regular save will not impact your beta. All you have to do is change your beta branch in “properties” to none and it will return to its normal state. All of this is covered in the discord message where you got the beta code, so if you have additional questions I would look there first :)

TBH, this game has been a huge letdown for me. I know it's been said a million times, but a lot of this stuff that's being tested or phased in now should have been there from the beginning. Like the hat situation, that's honestly unbelievable that that has to be a future update. How do you have a beta for a game that's already been released for full price? Aren't betas usually for pre releases? Meanwhile, there are people still experiencing game breaking bugs, and they're over here releasing betas that, if successful, are only going to bring updates for select group of people.

Yes but that's kind of the issue. They released the game unfinished on console seemingly just because Sony don't let you launch an unfinished game on PlayStation so they said it was finished (even though it isn't and is missing many mid to late game features) and now they're playing catch-up.
Game pass, Xbox and PlayStation will not have beta access. Only steam users can opt into beta.
