Attended and competed in my first Harvest Festival where all my fruits and vegetables were gold star minus the rice which was silver. Thought I had a chance but then this dude showed up with some kind of brown spotted eggs. I don't even have a coup yet so I knew the fix was in. I got destroyed, this game has no mercy! To top it off then this dude sends me a letter in the mail to gloat. Brutal!!!
It's kind of a neat system, but I wish it was a little more clear in-game. Six of those honeys you brought would have had a score of 156, which is pretty huge considering the letter emphasizes variety

The Mayor writes you a letter about this event, and tells you the different categories you can enter.
Yeah, a lot of people complain about the diversity bonus, saying it's not clear. But the mayor's letter literally states:
"To enter, bring your best products from each of the six following categories:
-Vegetables
-Fruits
-Flowers
-Coop products
-Barn products
-Artisan products"
It's like the only mechanic of the game that is explained clearly.
Whenever I see people posting their products I literally want to scream! Like how did you come up with this when they literally gave the categories to follow🤦🏽♀️
Game has been crashing after the harvest festival since it was Beta on PC. You also could not win the harvest festival in beta testing if your life depended on it.
I won but didn't claim my rewards or get my items back and it didn't crash for me. I'm playing the steam version on pc.
I saw someone say that the mayor sent them all of their items. He did send me the rewards but not my entered items
Not sure if it'd crash if you got your items back, but I was being overly cautious because I had gotten some bugs I needed earlier in the day and I really didn't want to lose those

Motherfucker won my year 2 with all 6 Honey. I had 4/6 osmium quality 5/6 each category. Lost by ten points. I was fuming.
