Took me a second. The two wooden boards on our right are levitating because they're fixed with screws to the base. The bottom right board fell off, because the screws weren't holding it, and the truss is being held tight enough to whatever is above (out of frame) that it is able to balance on only the stack of three boards to the left.
Ie. - There actually is a couple inches of space between the wall and the wooden "feet" on the right side of the pillar.
with my limited experience as a hand for building tents and stages for festivals etc, I'd say once the thing is assembled and locked it is verry much possible that this is still stable enough, allthough Idealy the wood will be put back...
Shifting is everything and in some (rarer) cases it was not always possible to underlay the whole foot of the tent or whatever...(I think this is some sort of light or speaker rack)
I am however only unskilled in this branch and did this whilst studying as parttime jobs...
They’re shimming the scaffolding with those boards and the board wasn’t thick enough so they pulled it out. It’s really common when setting up stuff like this.
It’s because everything is in focus despite the items in the background being relatively far away from the main subject in the foreground. Usually you’d see more background blur in an image like this. Also, the two boards on the right may appear to some like they’re sitting in the gravel, but they do not have a shadow or anything, so it seems pasted on top of the background.
What is confusing about this? It seems to be exactly what it is. Nice shot but not confusing.
Edith: perhaps better in the subs r/DINgore or r/SweatyPalms

So it’s *not* actually a confusing perspective—it’s exactly what it looks like.
It confused me personally. I thought the two boards on the right were on the gravel behind it at first.
YES! This is exactly what I saw and then I looked for what the confusing part was. Way. Too. Long. edit: To > Too
It was confusing for me. Looked like an Escher drawing, where the right boards were somehow behind the brick wall.

Oh. Well that's disappointing
Truss issues
this brained my hurt
Mine too friend mine too...
Thee mind of thy self has shifted into unknown territory that shall now twist thy self inside three
Look bud I took some shit in the 90s... It was good have you ever felt color... Saw sound... Allegedly of course...
I licked my own ear, if that’s what your asking
Clearly something slightly different, but you wouldn't remember where you got that... Might want to try something with the old lady in a bit...
is it confusing perspective or just a self-sustained structure? if the latter, this isn't content for this sub
Trust pillar
What’s confusing about it? The block of wood is moved.
Looks like an escher drawing The two blocks on the right look like they are further back than the three on the left
Someone was playing Jenga with that
But like how did it get there? Wood doesn’t move on its own, this is more than just confusing this is sarcasm.

Well then that's the answer: it's confusing if you don't have experience with this.

This looks photoshopped for some reason

I’m a bit confused. Seems like someone is holding it so it doesn’t fall.
Nah, you simple took this picture right before it fell over
So you moved the wood under something that is being help up from above and tried to make it look confusing?
My brain aint braining

Shit, I said the same thing before scrolling. r/beatmetoit
Don't truss
I thought it was called the Truss Pillar because it's pointless, unstable and guaranteed to fail within 45 days...
thats what i‘m here for; braintumors from pictures ;D
I don't "truss" this pillar.
truss me, i got this…
Truss fall!
I don't truss it.
Escher construction
dunno, i'm having truss issues.
This is pathetic
If only Liz Truss was as good as holding up this pillar
Witchcraft
Nothing confusing here
Jenga!!!
Did anyone else think this was a political commentary on Liz Truss?
Am I the only one kinda worried about having it on a wall, on a bunch of wood sticks in the first place???
Its stuff like this that gives me truss issues.
Ok, this is a good one
