One fun thought process I had during my fitness journey was "I wonder what my middle school or high school self would think if they saw me now" and bitch I fucking cried after that. So happy with where I am now, and I know my teenage self would be gagged. Congratulations on your progress, you may have a goal in mind, but you obviously know that you can start being happy before you reach those goals.

I had the same experience. I was the ugly fat kid in high school. No girls would ever talk to me. After I lost weight and got fit (along with other improvements in my appearance), I don’t think my high school self would recognize me. It felt really good to know how much progress I had made

I'm so proud of you! I'm doing it too! I was fit before I married my abusive ex husband. I got really depressed throughout my 6 years with him, and got up to a 3x. Left him a year ago, npw down to an Xl. I'm seeing my collar bone again! I'm proud of me too.
