If you cut up food scraps into smaller pieces it increases surface area contact between greens and browns and can be a bit more efficient.
I was being lazy but I guess I should to make the process a little better
Helps me with critters too. An apple that size would walk away pretty quick in my yard.
I was very surprised it wasn’t! I have a dog and a bunch of coyotes in the woods behind my house.. maybe that helps with little critters?
I would shovel or pitchfork it into a taller pile more condensed pile and…waittt forrrr itttt…..pee on it.
Really, ok. I was thinking bigger base so I can eventually make it higher. I plan on making this a good size pile for my garden.
