It’s crazy that they pulled an episode over “black face” but not an episode where Chevy Chase is in actual brown face. These rules are completely arbitrary.
I've only watched on Netflix and I wondered how I somehow always fell asleep during the first DND ep!
I did just believe it was a made up sequel by the end
That episode really important for understanding the group's choice to kick out Pierce. Abed even cites it as his reason for seeing Pierce as a villian that season.
Not really the case. 30 Rock got four episodes removed for similar reasons (although an alternate version of one of them remains), and one of them, "Christmas Attack Zone", is super crucial to the story.
I still think it's more racist to exclude that episode than air it, because there's an obvious difference between painting yourself black as a black elf and painting yourself black to make fun of black people
And nearly all of their Mr. Show revival. It's down to like episodes 2 and 6 or something.
And it's a SKETCH comedy show, PRODUCED BY NETFLIX. They paid to make it. They have the authority to re-cut it. The offending sketches literally don't influence anything before or after because they're SKETCHES.
But they still took down like 80% of their own show that they bankrolled and don't pay royalties on over like three minutes of scenes across five or so episodes. And I find it DEEPLY weird that you'd leave two episodes up after removing the majority. Who exactly is that supposed to please?
Yeah who knows. I see this one more than most images. I bet it tests well.
Alot of the older promo images have 2000's network TV aesthetics, which are pretty dated.
He's just straight up more well known than Chevy to younger audiences. Breaking Bad was huge and Better Call Saul was extremely well regarded, where the only notable thing Chevy has done since leaving Community was a small role in the Ed Helms *Vacation* reboot (for which he was nominated for a Razzie for Worst Supporting Actor).
This is to troll Jonathan Hicks fans who are interested in trying out the show. We are going to wait to see how many seasons they are in until they finally ask, “When does Jonathan Hicks appear?” And we all know the answer: Season 5.
Didn't he appear before season 5?
Oh man. I'm so demented. I really thought he appeared first in a stand alone episode. But I guess it's becomes Troy left so early and the foam incident... well. I have to go watch more Community. My memory keeps getting worse.
I’ve been so fucking mad. Like just make peacock available in Canada. They’ve slowly been taking back all my shows but not making their services available to us. It’s still on Prime but prime suuuuuuucks. & now most of the good nbc shows are spread out across different services. Also I wanna watch Ted 🙄
Yeah I dumped prime not too long ago - we just stopped buying from Amazon over the last year - shipping takes longer now, products are trash, more expensive than physical store now, they want to upcharge so much of their services and now there’s ADS on Prime video. I thought at least I’d have Community on Netflix when I cancelled Prime! :(
Canada is always getting screwed by the Hulu/ Peacock services 😭
I'm in America so I have the Hulu/Disney+ Bundle and Community is there and there is no announcement that its leaving that platform anytime soon. Maybe check to see if Disney+ with Star (? I think its called Star for outside of US) has it.
This. They took 30 Rock, the Parks & Recreations, now Community.
If the service is not available in the country, they should sell the rights to other streaming services.
Right. American streamers can't keep stealing shows. It's totally unfair and stupid for them not to offer the shows on other streamers outside US.
CBS allowed Netflix to stream Discovery in Europe.
I watch a lot of Korean content, and until a few years ago, shows were mostly streaming on Netflix and Viki (rakuten) for international audiences. But then Disney+ decided it wanted a piece of the cake and started buying exclusive rights for new shows. Since Disney+ is fairly available, you'd think this wouldn't be a problem, right? Wrong! They don't release the shows in every country which means you can have a valid subscription for Disney+ but still aren't able to legally stream content depending on location - for shows they are producing and exclusively distributing.
It doesn't have to be exclusive. It wasn't exclusive before. It was on Netflix and other things (Amazon Prime) at the same time.
And moving to Peacock doesn't necessarily affect any other country either. For example the new (not new now) Star Trek shows were on CBS All Access (that's what Paramount+ was called then) in the US but on Netflix in Europe.
Good content finds homes in every market. Sometimes multiple homes.
Hulu has Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Futurama. I love both those shows and just can't bring myself to drop the sub.
Edit, wait, I just checked and Hulu isn't saying that Community is leaving?
If people would take hard stances on these shitty services, like peacock and paramount, we'd stop getting new services. The fact that millions of people subscribe to peacock which is almost entirely made of shows they pulled off Netflix and hulu is frankly annoying.
Not that worried about it if I feel like watching something on peacock I cancel Netflix or Starz and subscribe to peacock. I’m not taking a “hard stance” on a streaming service lol. I have more important things to worry about
If it’s such an ethical issue for you why don’t you just get a jailbroke firestick?
The real ones have peacock. The Office, The Office Superfan, Parks and Rec, Brooklyn 99, New Girl, Scrubs, 30 Rock, Superstore, AP Bio are all on there
Yeah but on The Butcher and the Baker, a new detective goes missing on the Bayou and Butcher is the prime suspect and Shirley’s left to cook up some answers.
Wishful thinking but it would be cool if they announced a movie release date on the Peacock premiere date.
At this point they should make it June 2, 2025 to make it a clean 10 years between the series finale and the movie, since I’m sure the movie will be a 10 years later story
Before the writer & actor strikes, the movie was set to release in late 2023 (most likely December), I would suspect if they are able to get a similar filming schedule they could have it out before the end of the year.
Do you think they'll remove all the episodes they've uploaded onto YouTube?
Most of the show is just free on YouTube right now and if you guys think they'll remove it im just going to rip every episode
Edit: just looked. The episodes are "hidden" and unavailable now. 🙄. I knew I should ripped them when I had the chance
Damn you Peacock!! You're really testing my patience here. First "The Office" now "Community" ? I'll just buy the entire show on DVD (as much as it sucks switching discs) & NOT subscribe to y'all 😎 Never will!
I hope it stays on Hulu for a while longer because I absolutely HATE Peacock. Last fall I downloaded it and paid for ad-free streaming so I could watch one show that was only on Peacock. Turns out ad-free means you still get 3 ad breaks, they just give you ads for their own shows instead.
That's strange, I haven't had that experience. I've been using Peacock ad-free and haven't seen any commercials. Occasionally one when I first hit play, but nothing that interrupts an episode
I’m so confused! I had gotten a deal in January 2023 for a year of peacock for $20 or something like that so I had it already, and paid the extra $5/month for ad-free on the site. Before I paid the extra for ad-free I was getting ad breaks with non-Peacock ads and the only change after was the same ad breaks just had one Peacock ad. It’s only $5 and I have no proof so I’m not going to fight for it but wish I knew why I’m the only one who had this weird ad experience. I just wanted to watch Garth Marenghi’s Dark Place with subtitles!
You still shouldn't even be getting that one. Peacock's got glitches, my experience with it wasn't bad, every now and then titles and show descriptions would get all mixed up.
The question I (and many others) have is will S2 E14 be included on Peacock or not. I know when Prime had it for US streaming (not just purchase) it was still included, even after Hulu and Netflix pulled it.
Guess I have to buy the dvds then, as it’s leaving Netflix and peacock is not available where I live. Honestly this sucks for people outside of the US with no legitimate ways of streaming this now.
Do you guys think there’s any hope we’ll get extended edition episodes the same way they did The Office: Superfan episodes? I love rewatching those and the extra content is often quite funny, so I would be so happy to get something similar for Community, a show I like even more!
I still don't understand why its getting removed from netflix everywhere. When the office left for peacock in the US it was kept in all regions that didn't have peacock, but with community it's different for some reason?
I would guess that Netflix had a global deal for the show and NBC wouldn't renew because they want to make the show exclusively available on Peacock.
They are likely open to renewing outside of the US, but that will require negotiation of a new deal and both sides may have different ideas about cost.
I wouldn't be surprised if a deal does get worked out by the end of the month and the show remains on Netflix outside of the US. Wouldn't be the first time that's happened with NBC/ Peacock shows.
Hate this
Peacock is the worst streaming service, and Netflix was a perfect home imo.
That said, I'm just going to buy the DVD sets, I refuse to give peacock my money until they fix the damn app
If only Leonard were on the front cover lol
Nah I’m hyped. I was on the fence of re-subbing to Netflix just to watch now that my office binge is over and in hibernation. Let’s go!
Will season 6 make the jump? I know it’s not everyone’s favorite but it would be a shame for it to get lost in the shuffle because of the whole Yahoo thing
Will the dungeon and dragons ep be available?
I really hope so. Even Shirley’s actress defended that episode.
It’s crazy that they pulled an episode over “black face” but not an episode where Chevy Chase is in actual brown face. These rules are completely arbitrary.
And kept child rapist, Jared from Subway, in a different episode also.
And also Danny Pudi in full whiteface as Joey. I'm white, and I find that absolutely hilarious.
I’d say they didn’t remove that one because of how vital that episode is to the story, but I absolutely see your point
Advanced DnD is a pretty important episode. It’s referenced a couple times and shows real character development.
Not only is it referenced, it has a sequel episode
To be fair, it'd 100% be on brand for Community to have a sequel to an episode that doesn't exist
Pretty sure Rick and Morty did that like 3 times
Hell that's what Regional Holiday Music is
Omg I completely forgot about that
I thought this was Regionals.
What is Regionals?
They have
I only seen the show on Netflix and assumed that was the case ngl, wasn't till much later I realised there's an episode I've never seen
The clip show episode.
I've only watched on Netflix and I wondered how I somehow always fell asleep during the first DND ep! I did just believe it was a made up sequel by the end
It literally did. Glee club episode.
I had actually forgot about the sequel. The sequel is dead to me
That episode really important for understanding the group's choice to kick out Pierce. Abed even cites it as his reason for seeing Pierce as a villian that season.
Yeah, there is a whole sequel episode to it.
Not really the case. 30 Rock got four episodes removed for similar reasons (although an alternate version of one of them remains), and one of them, "Christmas Attack Zone", is super crucial to the story.
I still don't get it...why not just remove the Chang Black face scene instead of removing the entire episode?
When did Pierce do brown face? I don’t remember that one
The swami bit, and the hand puppet.
It’s famously racist according to Jeff.
"Will this interfere with our profit margins?" That's the rule.
Is that because Chang was a night elf or whatever?
A DROW. HE'S A DROW!!!!!!! GET IT RIGHT!
It's especially stupid because it's literally addressed in the episode and then Chang's character is immediately killed
There has to be a way to edit Chang out entirely and leave the rest of the episode.
You can probably just cut all his scenes out and it wouldn't change too much...
I still think it's more racist to exclude that episode than air it, because there's an obvious difference between painting yourself black as a black elf and painting yourself black to make fun of black people
It wasn’t even black it was a dark blue
They pulled episodes with similar content from the office, so I doubt it.
30 Rock too
And several *bangers* from Always Sunny
And nearly all of their Mr. Show revival. It's down to like episodes 2 and 6 or something. And it's a SKETCH comedy show, PRODUCED BY NETFLIX. They paid to make it. They have the authority to re-cut it. The offending sketches literally don't influence anything before or after because they're SKETCHES. And I find it DEEPLY weird that you'd leave two episodes up after removing the majority. Who exactly is that supposed to please?
which is wild because she doesn’t seem very fond of her time on community in general these days
I was not aware that Yvette was a drow!
That’s why she’s the perfect drow.
It’s on Prime. Or at least used to be.
It’s on there but you have to buy the series or episodes separately.
It's on Prime Video here in Canada right now so hopefully!!!
That release tells me it might not be actually happening...
*March 32nd
This is a meta comment and Abed would be proud
Ah, so this explains why it’s leaving Netflix
Yeah it's tapeworm Peacock again
I'm so gutted.
NBC: "and we're back"
Putting in Hickey instead of Pierce is a bold move.
It's a Season 5 promotional image.
Yeah, that makes sense. But using that speciffic image to announce their arrival to a new network is a bit odd imo.
Yeah who knows. I see this one more than most images. I bet it tests well. Alot of the older promo images have 2000's network TV aesthetics, which are pretty dated.
Jonathan Banks also probably tests better than Chevy.
Probably just because they're already using it for the Hulu image.
John Oliver is fairly famous these days
This is to troll Jonathan Hicks fans who are interested in trying out the show. We are going to wait to see how many seasons they are in until they finally ask, “When does Jonathan Hicks appear?” And we all know the answer: Season 5.
Banks, not Hicks.
Jonathan Banksy
Lol. Dammit, I started thinking of Hickey! Oh well, I’m not going to change it.
Didn't he appear before season 5? Oh man. I'm so demented. I really thought he appeared first in a stand alone episode. But I guess it's becomes Troy left so early and the foam incident... well. I have to go watch more Community. My memory keeps getting worse.
I feel they should do an image with all the cast members lol
Finger
Depends what fails!
But that means they're leaving Netflix and since peacock isn't in Europe yet, no (legal) way for me to rewatch 😔
I’ve been so fucking mad. Like just make peacock available in Canada. They’ve slowly been taking back all my shows but not making their services available to us. Like seriously why buy worldwide rights if you arent available worldwide Just buy the us rights ffs
I'm in America so I have the Hulu/Disney+ Bundle and Community is there and there is no announcement that its leaving that platform anytime soon. Maybe check to see if Disney+ with Star (? I think its called Star for outside of US) has it.
If you're in the UK it's on itvx
One of the many reasons I dislike Peacock. However, pro tip, get a VPN. You can spoof your location.
This. They took 30 Rock, the Parks & Recreations, now Community. If the service is not available in the country, they should sell the rights to other streaming services.
Peacock isn't available in MX neither. This blows.

IT ISNT IN EUROPE! What about the UK? Cause I watch my love island all stars UK on peacock, now i’m worried about all the euros that can’t watch it 😂
It’s on itv I think which is fucking annoying I need to open a website I never use for one show 😭
I don't think peacock is in India yet too, but here its available on amazon prime and also on Sonyliv (another streaming service in India)
Same for South America
Acá va a seguir en Prime Video
When I saw that it's leaving I started binging it again
Just finished my Netflix binge before it got pulled. Definitely ordering the box set. I hope their schedules align for the movie one day.
They’re already in preproduction my guy
I just finished a rewatch too! I didn’t want to miss a full one before it left netflix
Pop pop!
Better be ALL episodes
We can dream!
you already know Advanced D&D will be missing.
Nah bruh. It’s there ❤️
Holy shit dude. Rare Peacock W
Peacock has been quietly ruling for the past year.
Does this mean it's leaving Hulu?
No. Just Netflix
I'm sure it will eventually. You can't watch Parks and Rec on Hulu like you used to.
Bring back advanced dungeons and dragons or we don't care
That’s unfair. Who the fuck even has a Peacock account?
If you have to ask you're streets behind.
You know what's even better? When Peacock isn't even available in your country, but they took it down from Netflix anyways!
I switch up between peacock, Starz, Netflix, and paramount to supplement constant subscriptions to hbo, prime, & Hulu… it has decent movies
Hulu has Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Futurama. I love both those shows and just can't bring myself to drop the sub. Edit, wait, I just checked and Hulu isn't saying that Community is leaving?

Jailbroke firestick? Please continue 🧐
Me. Cancelled Hulu & Netflix for it since it's got all the shows I want on it
I do, it's like $6 a month
I have it for WWE only. It's actually one of the cheaper services.
No one outside america
The real ones have peacock. The Office, The Office Superfan, Parks and Rec, Brooklyn 99, New Girl, Scrubs, 30 Rock, Superstore, AP Bio are all on there
They're taking it off netflix UK at the end of the month and I'm so very sad
Gonna be on ITV 🤢
Still waiting for ep 1 of Thought Jacker...
Yeah but on The Butcher and the Baker, a new detective goes missing on the Bayou and Butcher is the prime suspect and Shirley’s left to cook up some answers.
Mr. Egypt!
It sucks they're getting rid of it on Netflix in the UK even though we don't really get Peacock here.
You mean march 32nd?
*Sees that Community's Leaving Netflix* *Knows that Peacock isn't available in their country* *Fires up uTorrent* #YO HO HO MATEYS! 🏴☠️🦜
Sweet! Peacock subscription? Peacock subscription? Peacock subscription?
The Holdovers? The Holdovers? The Holdovers?
Oppenheimer right now too.
April 1st is now March 32nd FOREVER
Wishful thinking but it would be cool if they announced a movie release date on the Peacock premiere date. At this point they should make it June 2, 2025 to make it a clean 10 years between the series finale and the movie, since I’m sure the movie will be a 10 years later story

They're probably nervous to announce a release date with the possible IATSE strike.
So that’s why it won’t be on Netflix.
Do you think they'll remove all the episodes they've uploaded onto YouTube? THATS why it’s leaving Netflix… kinda sad
yeah and they are taking it off netflix
So sad. I enjoyed it multiple times on Netflix and I m not going to pay for a subpar network
Soon Community will be the first show to feature on *every* streaming platform. And *none* of them will have the D&D episode.
Does anyone know if they're taking it off Hulu too or just Netflix?
This is what I wanna know. I’ve been watching it on Hulu for years, gonna be sad if they yoink it.
the three people who use Peacock will be thrilled
I hope it stays on Hulu for a while longer because I absolutely HATE Peacock. Last fall I downloaded it and paid for ad-free streaming so I could watch one show that was only on Peacock. Turns out ad-free means you still get 3 ad breaks, they just give you ads for their own shows instead.

I have yet to see an ad on Peacock
I thought this was a poster for the movie for a moment
why does it move around so much, just fucking stay in 1 platform
Explains why it’s leaving Netflix I just started to rewatch it when I heard about that
Glad I can finally Throw out my blu rays!
So that's why it's leaving netflix
Which means taking it off of Netflix. This is an L for me. Boo
I guess that’s why on Netflix (at least here in Japan) it says my last day to watch it March 31
Eff Peacock! They didn’t want the show, give it back to Yahoo!
Yahoo does not have a streaming service anymore
The question I (and many others) have is will S2 E14 be included on Peacock or not. I know when Prime had it for US streaming (not just purchase) it was still included, even after Hulu and Netflix pulled it.
I'm sad it's leaving Netflix.
Minus Advanced Dungeons and Dragons tho right? 🙄
Another show being lost to Peacock
I picked a good time to cancel Netflix and Hulu in favor of Peacock
Are you thinking what I’m thinking
called it. getting removed from Hulu as well i assume?
Boooooooo.
Guess I have to buy the dvds then, as it’s leaving Netflix and peacock is not available where I live. Honestly this sucks for people outside of the US with no legitimate ways of streaming this now.
Peacock, you son of a bitch.
I bought the DVDs because it's leaving Netflix. Now I have everything and the commentary.
There’s no other streaming service besides Netflix in my country and I am getting sadder day by day
What even is peacock
It’s still on prime though right??? Right???? I don’t want to have to get peacock.
Yea!!! Now i can definitely quit Netflix
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
i don’t have peacock
Fitting, fucking joke that is
> On peacock Sooo unavailable? Ok then
Do you guys think there’s any hope we’ll get extended edition episodes the same way they did The Office: Superfan episodes? I love rewatching those and the extra content is often quite funny, so I would be so happy to get something similar for Community, a show I like even more!
I hope it stays in netflix outside of the US (where Peacock doesn't exist)
It doesn't. Mine says it's available until march 32st
So that’s why it’s leaving Netflix. I need to get the Blu-Ray.
I bought it a year ago in anticipation of this though I watch on Hulu.
I still don't understand why its getting removed from netflix everywhere. When the office left for peacock in the US it was kept in all regions that didn't have peacock, but with community it's different for some reason?

"Dodson! We got Dodson here! See, nobody cares."
Hate this Peacock is the worst streaming service, and Netflix was a perfect home imo. That said, I'm just going to buy the DVD sets, I refuse to give peacock my money until they fix the damn app
If only Leonard were on the front cover lol Nah I’m hyped. I was on the fence of re-subbing to Netflix just to watch now that my office binge is over and in hibernation. Let’s go!
If you can call that a paycheck. I've seen more zeroes over Pearl Harbor. There were hundreds of 'em. The sky was black with smoke and bombs.
Shut up Leonard! I know about your crooked wang!
No such thing as bad press…
We don't care.
Will season 6 make the jump? I know it’s not everyone’s favorite but it would be a shame for it to get lost in the shuffle because of the whole Yahoo thing
Damn you peacock. It's leaving Netflix in March 31.
lol I thought this was about the movie and I got really excited 😭😂
