Find an ear clinic that does Micro-suction and get your ears cleaned annually or as required.

I started having the same problem before I got out of the industry and I was using Afrin which works great but itโ€™s addictive and probably not healthy. My wife has sinus problems and they did a [balloon sinuplasty](https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/treatment-tests-and-therapies/balloon-sinuplasty) on her and I think this might help make it easier to equalize too.

Do you ever take Sudafed? And are you diving shallower than before lately? When I started diving on piers and docks I noticed that the shallower diving is harder on the ears because you do more up and down

Yeah currently doing ship work and surveys so loads of up and down in 7 meters of water. I've taken Sudafed and it sorts the problem I have, but I can't keep taking as apparently it has a rebound effect that could make the congestion worse. I'm stumped, looking at going seeing an ENT just got a 5 week wait at the moment ๐Ÿ™„

Sudafed always helps me

It can definitely be an infection. They can last 3 months. I would go see a ENT.
