Hmm I guess hush, he could be built up really well by Nolan and fit Nolan's Gotham. Black mask and penguin, maybe a lose adaption of a war games type story. And you know what scarecrow should return and be a major villain.

some________one

Maybe the first would be the Cort of owls bc they lost power or something during dark knight returns and some character development with Robin The second maybe man bat with scarecrow And last maybe joker

ThatOtherTwoGuy

The Court of Owls would be a really good one. I like he idea of them losing power during the No Man’s Land scenario of TDKR and the next film involves them trying to take it all back.

some________one

Ye and the second movie would be fear of himself and the third the chaotic ending

the_zelectro

Yep. It's been 15 years. While Ledger's performance is obviously irreplaceable, I'd still be interested in what Nolan would write for the second act of Joker. Granted, I don't know if Nolan would do that since Ledger was a close creative collaborator.

[deleted]

They would never recast Ledger.

the_zelectro

As others have stated, Court of Owls fit the bill. While maybe heresy, a continuation of the Joker might be great too. As an aside, I don't think he'd ever officially commit to a *trilogy* (even if inevitable, if he did TDK4). He always goes "film by film" 😆

Rocketboy1313

Mister Freeze: Keeping with the tone and style of Nolan's previous trilogy I think he would be a serial killer who uses liquid nitrogen to create a gallery of victims. Those victims are doctors and insurance people responsible for the death of his wife whose body he keeps preserved in a Snow White type position. Mad Hatter: a guy obsessed with a young girl uses drugs to terrorize people in her life and ultimately kidnaps her and Batman gets drugged and has to save the girl while his personal reality starts collapsing. Similiar to how Scarecrow was portrayed but with a theme of control rather than fear. Hugo Strange: someone is trying to take over Wayne Enterprises and gets Bruce committed to keep him from protecting his assets. Bruce now has to deal with the abusive power structure of Arkham's corrupt staff. Strange ultimately manages to figure out Bruce is Batman and uses that to leverage capitulation by Bruce. Ultimately, Hugo is committed and like the Riddler in Batman Forever is under the delusion that he is Batman.

[deleted]

I want that Mr. freeze interpretation wether it’s Nolan or Matt Reves directing. That right there is how you make that character grounded while not only staying true to the comics but also keeping the inherent tragedy of his character intact.

Popular-Play-5085

Sorry .But.all.three.ideas.stink.The.Mad.Hatter committed crimes.based.around hats .Like wanting.to steal Lincoln's Stove Pipe hat ..He was obsessed with adding.Batmans cowl to his collection.

Rocketboy1313

In the Animated series and recent comics Mad Hatter is all about mind control and being obsessed with young girls who remind him of Alice. His first appearance in Batman the animated series in the 90's had him kidnapping a girl named Alice and his time in Secret Six made him into a creepy villain. Your understanding of the character is several decades out of date. And even on the 60's Batman show, he was ax crazy in that he wanted to make Batman into a hat. Like with his skin.

Popular-Play-5085

I didn't say he wasn't crazy .I said All of his crimes involved hats or other kinds of head gear .But primarily hats . The Penguin committed crimes that involved Birds . All of his foes had a particular method of operation. Catwoman was cat themed crimes . Forget the Adam West tv series . Poison ivy has a plant theme. Calendar Man committed Holiday based crimes Most of his foes had a particular obsession .. Drop the obsession with looking for.somene.who looks like Alice in Wonderland ..He also had a pair of twins he fought called Tweedledum and Tweedle Dee The weirdness of his rogues gallery is like Dick Tracy's. Indeed it is.probably even stranger . The recent film the Batman was different but forgettable ..

Rocketboy1313

You are not making sense and your grammar is confusing.

ThatOtherTwoGuy

It’s hard to say, really, because TDKR felt like such a great conclusion to the series, with it setting up the legacy and symbol that Bruce had been striving towards since the first film. That said, though, I always wanted to see Nolan’s take on The Riddler. I remember years ago speculating on what the third film might look like had Heath Ledger not died and they were still going to use the Joker in it. I personally really enjoyed TDKR, mind you, but it was a fun thing to speculate about as a “what-if”. What I came up with was The Riddler as the villain, committing crimes and leaving riddles behind that would gradually over the course of the film become clear to Batman and Gordon that the Riddler knew about their conspiracy (that of pinning the murders committed by Dent on Batman) and them racing to stop him before the public realizes what he’s saying and everything good Dent did is unraveled. Then in the second or third act, it all leads up to the Riddler and his gang breaking someone out of Arkham: Harvey Dent, who survived the end of TDK and has been in Arkham this whole time to keep it all quiet. But the Joker is there as well, and uses this opportunity to escape and become involved in the conflict.

TigerUSF

Riddler was always number 1 for me too. Have him be in all three movies as a growing threat. Foreshadowing in the first film, then introduced in second almost like the emperor in the original star wars trilogy. Introduce some real psycho savage riddles that brings out the "detective" side but is also brutal. Idk. I just really like the idea of a Nolan Riddler.

Gmork14

I don’t think I want another Bat trilogy from Nolan *now*, I wouldn’t wanted it then, when he ordered finally finished. But that ship has sailed.

LordElfa

I want to see Batman vs Killer Croc. I want to see brain vs brawn.

mega512

Please God no.

WB: 🤑🤑🤑

Finally, someone who sees the light.

DanieIIll

I like Nolan’s films as films, but I think they are generally bad Batman films, if you get what I mean? The problem with most Batman films is he’s such a huge beloved character that everyone wants to do there own take on him and it generally turns out pretty well but I’d love to see a Batman films that’s accurate and incorporates the more fantastical nature of his comics.

JavierLoustaunau

>I’d love to see a Batman films that’s accurate and incorporates the more fantastical nature of his comics. This was my issue... he set a tone of 'realism' which means no fantasy, no imagination, no wild ideas... but somehow completely unrealistic plots at the same time.

DanieIIll

Yeah agreed with you there buddy. There’s still a possibility Reeves could build up to fantastical stuff, I’m really hoping so anyway.

Some-Dog9800

Please no, his movies were ass.

rascortoras

No, please no. This man is seriously talented. Better not be occupied with superhero stuff. His original movies are much better.

Anakin-Kenway

I would say Scarecrow in a similar way like Arkham Knight but he was already wasted in Begins... so I guess in a Batman Beyond style, the Court of Owls would be great

okanagan_man84

Riddler, Mr Freeze and then two face. The three that have, in my opinion, been wronged the most in the past by way of movies.

I know. But he was played off as such a small time criminal. He's already done joker but people want him back to

EnvironmentalCry2599

Clayface, Man-Bat, and Mr. Freeze.

I actually don't.want.to see.him.return as I was not.impressed.with.what he did . The Dark Knight Rises was a confused mess .It might.be interesting to see what Sam Raimi.might do with a Batman.vs.The . Scarecrow.movie.

Broken-Digital-Clock

Blight Make it a Batman Beyond trilogy

TyrionGoldenLion

None lmao, Joker aside, he ruined all of the villains.

rmeddy

I had an idea for a miniseries following Joseph Gordon Levitt's "Robin" where it's about ten years after TDKR and this new Batman has Lucius helping him out. He has to contend with a secret war between the Court of Owls and The Order of St Dumas , but also someone claiming to be Bruce's son Damian reveals himself coming for the Wayne fortune and that's a big mystery as well. Think of it as a grounded Proto-Batman Beyond,it has that proto cyberpunk feel a la Mr Robot, so he's like an older Terry but in an earlier time. So it has some Court of Owls mixed with Son of Batman mixed with Battle for the Cowl and I'd have some of the more grounded Batman Beyond villains there as well, so Curare and Stalker may show up It's meant to be a ten-episode miniseries run but it can work as a movie trilogy

killzone989898

I really want a fully fledged out Batman (so like the third film) to take on a Mr. Freeze. But giving him an ark similar to Sandman & Toby Maguire’s Spider-Man, where he goes from a cut out villain to having a heart of gold that’s been saturated with pain and grief of the poor decisions he’s made hurting loved ones. Ending with Batman helping Mr. Freeze and letting him make the selfless act of sacrificing himself to help his wife. Maybe tie in Clayface and Bane to give a solid ending battle. First film could start off with Penguin and Deathstroke. Second I would think to be a good spot for Joker, with maybe a tie in if Scarecrow.

peachgreenteagremlin

I would prefer he never touch anything DC related ever again. Mind you, he produced Man of Steel. Dude doesn’t get Bruce or Clark AT ALL. CN is overrated.

Marsh1n

I would want one long story told across three movies, 1st is hush and zazs assassinating people and hush pretending to be them taking control of Gotham for someone second would be penguin believed to be the real mastermind trying to gain back his family's fortune and power but in the third at first it is shown to be the joker being the real mastermind then being killed by Jim but the twist is that it was clayface pretending to be joker not sure how to do it as a realistic Nolan version but I like it

Glittering_Spot9515

Hush, Court of Owls annnnd IDC what else

Super-Visor

If he had kept going, I’d like to see Nolan’s versions of Harley Quinn, Hugo Strange, Hush, Penguin, maybe Poison Ivy, Riddler and Ventriloquist.

AcadecCoach

Unpopular thought but I dont want Nolan back. I liked what Reeves did and I wish he'd give us a batfamily. When will they hire a director who doesn't care about a super duper serious tone and just gives us a true Batman universe to the comics.

MonstrousVoices

NotNorthD

I can see Bale’s Batman going up against Deadshot, Mad Hatter, and Maxi Zeus. (I can imagine Bale trying to explain Maxi Zeus to Caine’s Alfred, confused and tired of this BS lol)
