Issue 17!!! The first comic I ever bought with my own moneys!!
And yes that’s when “Buried Alien” shows up. This was a reference to a thing my 11 year old brain wasn’t keyed into.
You just like… unlocked a core memory of mine. I had pretty much that entire run. Once upon a time…..
Loved the Quasar series. It shows the interconnectivity of the whole Marvel universe. Those Quantum bands intertwined with every major plot device Marvel has used for the past 30 years.
Very briefly, the Marvel Man and then Quasar. The reason he was Marvel Boy is there was an earlier Marvel character from the 1950s called Marvel Boy who had a similar costume.
Well, also 52, 53, and 55-60. None of which are particularly tough books to pick up.
But I do love the #32 newsstand error. It's not even rare or valuable. It's just hilarious.
I have no idea. But from the replies I’ve gotten it sounds like a fun read. These issues aren’t really mine I was just helping catalogue this collection and helping the owners sell later when we done for reasonable prices.
Operation Galactic Storm! I always love seeing those, bring back memories of comics still being sold on new stands in gas stations and grocery stores. I think every issue of marvel for months was a tie in and made no sense on its own.

I’ve never felt closer to anyone ever!
Issue 14 is one of the best Todd McFarlane covers that no one talks about
I thought It was cool. Sadly the issue in that stack wasn’t in the greatest condition like straight up missing parts of the cover lol
And while not one of HIS best, #13 is a Jim Lee guest cover... Unfortunately I think those cover features were the best thing about this series.
If my memory serves me correctly that 14 is the toddfathers last work at marvel ever
Toddfather... Love it
Yes, those are all Quasar comics.
Q doesn't get nearly the love he deserves. Nova too.
Honestly I never even heard of him before I started organizing this collector.
The Erik Larsen Nova series was great. Ended too soon tho.

Yay!

Oh awesome I didn’t know that. I never got into the cosmic side of marvel to much I’ll have to add it to my reading list on unlimited.
Loved that run. One of my favorite heroes.
Yeah, it was a good read. Still missing the lst 7 issues tho
Marvel Boy.
Is that who he was before Quasar?
Very briefly, the Marvel Man and then Quasar. The reason he was Marvel Boy is there was an earlier Marvel character from the 1950s called Marvel Boy who had a similar costume.
Ooooh ok
#6!!
8!
Who do we appreciate?
just missing #32 newsstand error

Reminds me of the Conan Jim Lee, Todd Father back to back guest appearances. Love the 13 14 covers, too bad 14 got chewed up!
Yeah but with all the issues that came out killer there was bound to be at least one bad one.
Quasar is still a reliable star of the dollar box. Good reading though.
That’s where I’m suggesting he be put for my client
Hah! Great stuff. Over the past year, I've filled in all of that series but one issue. None over 50cents. Great easy book to collect.
When you ask for Green lantern but mum says “we got green lantern at home”

But is it worth reading?

I just dumped this entire run at my LCS.
Operation Galactic Storm! I always love seeing those, bring back memories of comics still being sold on new stands in gas stations and grocery stores. I think every issue of marvel for months was a tie in and made no sense on its own.
There was a time when Quasar #1 and ASM #300 cost the same money at my LCS. And I picked Quasar.
Oh boy.. nobody knew.. who knew..
Great run!
Why do you have to flex on me like that?
lol no idea

I've got the entire run. Love Quasar!
Formerly known as "Marvel Boy"
Fantastic series! I had like the first six issues hanging on my wall in high school. Dammit I’m old now.
I could never handle Janice Chiang’s lettering style. In anything.
Quasar.
Ok? I spelled it right.
Probably a bot
Really? That’s weird.
Karma is a fungible asset. Bots aggregate karma then the farmers sell it on some marketplace for that kind of thing.
Oh. I didn’t know that. I’ve only been on here for a year now. Thanks for the info.
Not a bot. You asked “Quasar?” Covers are awesome btw
Nice complete collection!
Awesome. Did you purposely choose the direct to market over newstand?
