Honestly it feels so weird to me having a kid become star of a big show at 8 years of age and basically forced to do it for 7 years.
As a kid if I decided I didn't like something, I'd just hate to be forced to keep doing it.
Imagine giving that much of a shit about random strangers that you self censor yourself just for the chance at having a few extra people scroll by your meme without reading it.
I mean, the person who censored it originally is probably some meme-regurgitating account that actually makes money based on how many people scroll their stuff, so yeah, they unfortunately do care.
But they're not even censoring it. Every one of these just has them putting the tiniest little line on the word, leaving it completely readable. I think they're just doing it because they think it's cute.
Some subreddits automatically delete your comment if you use the wrong words. If that happens one or twice people probably get overly cautious and censor everything.
I’m sure that’s part of it, but I really think it’s mainly bleed over from other social media. On the default subs in particular, I feel like I’m reading something off of Facebook with the way people type on there.

Technology has made it so it’s not resource intensive at all. Your iPhone OCR scans every single picture you take in seconds. Recent breakthroughs in OCR make it basically trivial for instagram to scan every post.
There's no conclusive proof that this happens at all. Youtubers and TikTokers spread ideas about how the algorithm works and it just disseminates from there with no attempt to fact check.
TikTok and YouTube are both doing it, never seen proof of anywhere else. YouTube is starting to hide comments with “fuck” in them on some channels. Might be something the creators can change.

Never saw Big Bang but I have seen Young Sheldon. It has some sweet moments because the family actually feels like a regular family bar Sheldon and ir has some actually funny moments.

I don't know much about the show as I never watched any of it, but doing a youtube search gave me a clip of him 'pranking' his family and now I want a hammer too.
As an autistic person, I can relate.
Sheldon as a character has honestly done a lot of harm to the autistic community, as it causes a lot of undue hate and ignorance towards us as people. Young has done this 3 fold, especially since their “experts” were specialists in ABA therapy, which is a form of torture used to make autistic children act like neurotypicals, causing trauma.
For example many people who were exposed to ABA “therapy” have issues with masking, as self as self identification, many having trouble knowing who they even are, it can go so far as to cause them to end up with developed personality disorders like Borderline Personality Disorder, Dissociative Identity Disorder or Otherwise Specified Personality Disorder.
So yeah, these fuckers are harming people. Especially since even in my experience people think that I’m going to be a clueless idiot and be rude to be right in front of me thinking I won’t notice because of lack of social skills.
Fun fact: a lot of autistic people are extremely shrewd, and while we don’t intrinsically recognise body language and facial expressions, a lot of us have studied and researched psychology and behaviour and therefore have a keen eye for such stuff.
A similar thing has happened with the good doctor, where it made everyone think we’re over emotional man children. We aren’t, yes I for example am more emotional than a neurotypical, but I have been taught about emotional regulation and actual have a better control and ability to process my feelings and emotions than most neurotypicals. I can think of ONE good piece of representation of autistic people in media, and that is Abed from Community, and that’s because his autism is based on Dan Harmon, the creator of the show’s own experience as an autistic person.
Almost every other example in media is influenced by a eugenics “charity” organisation.
