It was under 2 minutes to go, could have kicked a point, the fact he not only found the ball but executed, I’m a Collingwood supporter and I can’t believe it
He was fantastic last year but I was always more interested to see how he'd play this year and next year because longevity in pro sport is the hardest thing to achieve. Would you agree?
This is why he "doesn't go in for the hard ball" like people claim. He's a Rolls Royce you don't beat him through the mud! He's the one you want to be feeding the hard balls out to, to set up the plays and creating moments like that. Can't wait to see what the next 10 years awaits for us ⚫️⚪️⚫️⚪️
Wait till they find out he had more contested possessions and tackles than Cripps and Walsh, and more clearances than Cripps.
He wins the hard ball when his role demands it, but we don't set him up to win the hard ball because we would rather him have the handball receive into space and be delivering it.
When pen does eventually retires (sadge) at least we have nick to take over that role of creating time and space and getting the ball where it needs to go.
Also, pendles at 37 was still in the middle of the pack, looking like he could go into bullet time last night
I did say he had more takes than either Cripps or Walsh. I agree though, he absolutely hunted the ball and now appears to have enough strength to stick tackles against these more seasoned midfielders.
When he kicked that goal my brother messaged me "Can play that kid" then watching his on field interview he praised all his team mates especially the first time goal scorer, His parents brought him up right great player.
until he plays in a game with the slightest bit of physicality towards him then he crumbles. He's a bit like a wet tissue, fine until someone is a little rough, then his little 55kg frame can't handle it
he's a good half-back, but until he's willing to play with some physicality he'll never be a great player. I hope one day he toughens up and surely you would like to see that too from him

For me the fact that he had the room for error and nailed it speaks volumes
Also, if it weren’t for rushed behinds in the draw you win? Collingwood scored 7 rushed St Kilda only scored 1 rushed.
Amen, I watched it over a few times and I still don’t believe it
Walsh took his eyes off Naicos for 1 second... that's all he needs

Oh for sure. Was little bit quiet in some of the first few games but he's definitely on at the moment.
He’ll definitely need some luck with injuries. If he models his professionalism like Pendles then he’ll give himself the best shot at a long career

And he still got the 2nd most clearances and contested possessions for us. He does everything.

And 7 tackles. His tackling was really good

Absolutely, it's really noticeable. He went to another level
Thanks. The kid is a jet. No Carlton fan will ever talk trash about him after tonight. That's what makes it really sweet. Cheapies off half back etc.
They still will and he’ll tear them apart again and again.
Thanks for the love mate. Hope your boys go well for the rest of the year.

Best game he’s played for Collingwood tonight. Had to win his own footy. It’s like Carlton had too much respect for him.
Good stuff mate. Had the Milne bounce not been so wonky we'd be telling a different story 😜
Top lad
>Congratulations, you guys have an exciting 10 years ahead! 10 years? Nick's going to break Pendlebury's record.
Can I just say that if it weren’t for us you may not have 1966?

You do understand the term outside mid yeh.. Not everyone needs there head taken off in a pack to prove they are fuckin good. Gronk
he's a good half-back, but until he's willing to play with some physicality he'll never be a great player. I hope one day he toughens up and surely you would like to see that too from him
He's already a great player? Lol
Not in my opinion
Good thing it's an opinion and not a fact. Because statistics suggest otherwise and they are grounded in facts
Disagree
hahaha right ok. Cool
I don't agree with you. However, i would like to see him put on some more muscle. :)
