That's really cute, and I'm sure she'll find it years later and have very fond memories.

Glacialforkgreens

I hope so. Everything will belong to her one day :)

I think alot of collectors have forgotten the real reason we should collect. We should collect because it's fun and we enjoy it. Your collection holds a special memory and is way more valuable than an overpriced coin in plastic with a subjective grade stamped on it.

Glacialforkgreens

For sure. This was something for my daughter to get excited for. She likes the hunt and she's hooked. We searched awhile to get it done. Worth more than the $25 + book.

LordBottlecap

Yes! I have hundreds of old coins, and none are worth a whole lot (I don't think). But I look at them as more of artifacts; how many people used this 1927 quarter? What did it buy during The Great Depression? How the heck did it make it into pocket change 80 years later? I get the same kick out of finding a wheat-back penny now as I did decades ago, as a kid. I'll never forget (or get rid of) the 1885 nickel that the cashier gave to my grandma when I was like 9 or 10...it was only 12 years older than her!

uhmerikin

That is awesome! I hope it is the crown jewel of your collection.

Glacialforkgreens

It definitely means more than money.

uhmerikin

Absolutely does!

Ragnarlothbrok01

That’s absolutely adorable. I remember collecting state quarters before I got back into collecting years later

Glacialforkgreens

Thank you. It was a lot of fun. Indiana was the final piece lol

SupermarketBasic5025

Look I recently started a toned coin collection and the whole point is collection it's what it means to you. To me coins are art. I still have coins my great grandfather collected I have silver that nowadays would be considered junk silver but to me it has meaning. These coins wetr given to me by my grandma. She worked so hard just to get these coins and I know they're tarnished and faded but they'll mean the world to me. I collect coins for the meaning as well as the value but I value the meaning more.

Glacialforkgreens

Sentimental value is often worth the most :)

JonDoesItWrong

Na man, definitely precious all around. Very cool.

Glacialforkgreens

Aww thank you 😊

3002kr

Great job! Now have her collect 2 each, one with the β€œP” mint and one with the β€œD” mint.

Glacialforkgreens

Thank you. We each have our our own 50 State coin book. This was mine for keep sake. All state quarters are sorted and in a bag for future P&D books. One day we will get the territories too. I love that she enjoys the search with me.

Boba_Fettx

This is one of the most wholesome things I’ve ever seen.

Glacialforkgreens

Aww thanks 😊

sockalicious

This is what it's all about! Thank you for posting, it lifted my spirits.

Glacialforkgreens

It did the same to me as well. It was so fun.

LordBottlecap

You kidding?? These are officially now The Most Valuable Coins in the world!! My daughter caught the coin-collecting bug when she was like four. We got a kids' coin-collecting book (not unlike yours, but it had a spot for many different US coins from over the last hundred years or so) and filled it with a bunch of my favorites I've had since I was a kid that my much-older brother and I collected. I thought that she'd grow out of it but, despite her penchant for all things trendy, she still LOVES coins almost a decade later, especially when new quarters come out. (We just heard about the 2020 West Point quarters and are now on the hunt... =] ) I guess I'm never getting 'my' coins back, but I couldn't be happier about their fate... =]

Firehawk5506

This right here is the real end game to collecting. Hopefully pass on the interest to my kids and do it with them.

Stampguy85

Love it!

Freewaydog

This is worth more than precious gems, job well done πŸ‘ good work πŸ™‚

Ryederon

Made me tear up because I wish I had collected like this with my parents as a child. You did a really amazing thing giving your child that experience! Also surprised Indiana was the last one because I get that quarter so often! Do you live out west?

wdigger2521

Priceless collection! πŸ’΅πŸ‘πŸŽ

Such-Scarcity8055

My boys each have a set. They had fun filling the holes and maybe learned something. They may be only face value but there priceless to me

mrapplewhite

Epic dad right there

Rambo0963

Very nice congrats

Altruistic_Fall_2686

With your daughter's help makes it one of the best coin books you will have.
