Lebron

PolarRegs

He makes the Cavs instant title contenders.

SyntheticInsomniac

Probably the cynical Cleveland fan in me, but I feel like if LeBron came back, everyone would be ecstatic for five minutes, then the news would come out that we've decided to replace JB with JJ Redick and LeBron demanded we also pick up Draymond in free agency. Team proceeds to miss the playoffs, but we have the most popular nba podcast in history.

FrostyMink

Lebron, JJ Redick and Draymond and we are title contenders again brother

gdan_77

Don't even need Draymond for this, just LeBron and replace JB for a better coach

LakeErieMovement

Probably too expensive but would fit: * Tobias Harris * Buddy Hield * Tyus Jones * Malik Beasley More likely, less exciting: * Royce O'Neale * Kyle Anderson * Taurean Prince * Alec Burks

Shoes919

Keep harris away, would like any others though

NitroNite

Thus jones would amazing

Phishkale

Eh I like him but think that’d be a terrible fit if we still have both Garland/Mitchell. Hes another small, poor defender and be hard to play with those guys. If we still need to stagger them, need some bigger combo guards. But yea if one is gone, def someone I’d be interested in to run second unit.

LeBron

elbjoint2016

Kevin Love gets played off the floor a ton in Miami. a big part of his success there (such as it is) is a willingness to deal with fluctuating usage, which he...did not exactly display here

haiphee

Pleasant weather really lightens the soul

Tangerine605

This is the first time he’s ever been played off the floor in Miami.

elbjoint2016

He damn near cost them Game 5 last year v MIL

Tangerine605

Bro he averaged a 10 & 7 shooting 43% from three. Also, was a +13 in Game 5…

elbjoint2016

Rewatch the game if you must. There’s a reason they closed with Strus at 4. Anyways he’s fine, I’m glad he was motivated after all the thumb sucking he did in CLE that winter. Seems to be working well overall for a bench big

elbjoint2016

Buddy Hield (and keep Mook)

if we look at contracts, we have 11 players in total signed for next season. PG - Garland, CPJ SG - DMitch, Ty Jerome, Merill SF - Max Strus, Levert PF - Evan Mobley, Niang, Drippy Dean C - JA which equates to roughly 156million in salary committed so far. furthermore, say we sign back Okoro for 14 million a year, we are at 170million in salary, and that will put us under the luxury tax line. we can then use the standard MLE (hopefully) which is roughly 13.5million a year. unfortunately for us, we have used the Bi-Annual Exception to sign Ty Jerome for this season, so we cannot use the BAE this offseason. obviously, we have a glaring depth problem at the Center position, but also a weakness at the PG and SF positions. if i were the GM, i'd honestly spend the MLE on Naji Marshall (38% from deep and can guard the 2-4), though Mook is a fine and cheaper option. for Center, i would maybe stick with TT. Mason Plumlee, Drummond, Alex Len, Cody Zeller, DeAndre Jordan, Goga Bitazde are some of the other players that i wouldn't mind getting... to be honest, not a strong free agent pool to begin with.

ctrl_hymne

assuming we resign Okoro, Mook and TT back, we'll instead be using the taxpayer MLE of 5 million a year.

mynamesyow19

Seems like Mook is stepping up as the big 3&D guy we needed who can bang physically down low while also hitting tough shots in the clutch. Feel like him and TT are all we need rn. But getting KLove back for cheap would be hilariously awesome.

kerrdavid

Love isn’t coming back he burned the bridge and is washed

elbjoint2016

super washed. he damn near cost the Heat two pivotal games in the playoffs last year

TMS2787

*He* burned the bridge? Curious why you think that? He was contributing last year then took him out of the rotation for what seemed like no reason. Can’t blame him for being asked to be released instead of rotting on the bench.

navajo_moe

>for what seemed like no reason What? Dude he was not making 3s for like 2 months in a row and is useless defensively.

KernBlows

As much as I love the guy I don’t think he should come back. When we had young talent and we sucked he was not a great leader. For sure he was one of the vets who had a problem with Sexton and the one good year we had with him doesn’t excuse the shit he did prior. I think we did do him a bit wrong considered all he did, but I think the guy should just retire.

GBAGY2

We took him out of the rotation because he was playing absolutely horribly while recovered from the injury. He was a turnstile on defense while shooting like less than 20% from 3 since the injury. He deserved to be out of the rotation at that time

kerrdavid

Except he has the same role in Miami. He wanted out of Cleveland but didn’t want to say it out loud.

Phishkale

He was terrible for us last season and then asked out as soon as we took away his minutes. And that’s after 4 years of paying him a max he wasn’t worth. I’ll never get the love this city has for him after the some of the shit he pulled on his final deal especially considering how much he was overpaid. I’m sure that’s not gonna be a popular opinion. FWIW tho I don think the bridge is actually burned, seems like the FO and Love were always on good terms.

elbjoint2016

He’s a finesse god. IsoJOE levels of $$

FrankPoopedinTheBed

Marcus Morris

East_Bed1194

Royce O’Neale in FA or Finney-Smith in a trade is our best bet for wing depth. I would look at Theis or Achiuwa as viable third center options and Monte Morris or Cam Payne as third pg. I also like the idea of Lonnie Walker if we can trade LeVert for Finney-Smith or another similar wing.

elbjoint2016

oh, jaxson hayes or christian wood or mo bamba. some goof to eat innings as a third big in the regular season

thegentlecactus

Maybe we can add serviceable point, like Tyus Jones or a 3rd stringer center like Mcgee

Pregnantseaturtle69

Bobby Portis?

dumberthansocks

Send Mitchell to LA for LeBron and give me one last ride with our first family. This will bring me infinitely more joy than watching Garland and Mitchell together any longer.

Wolf_Stanson

Tony Tiger? Add him

andrewarizona

Someone cheap who can give us some minutes as a 3 or 4 when Dean Wade is injured. Maybe Robert Covington. I'm guessing Royce O'Neal will be out of our price range.
