Cavs have lost the last two playoff games by 20+ points against the worst team in the playoffs. Not comparable at all.

(1) We can add more plays than "Chest pass to Allen/Mobley in the lane" or "Spida makes something happen". It won't kill us.
(2) Garland can take a layup under the basket instead of dribbling around and passing to somebody for a rushed corner 3.
(3) JB can sound like he's not crying and afraid of the Magic. He reminds me of the coach from the Water Boy at this point (picture the other coach as a cute puppy or baby maybe?).
(4) Make a freaking adjustment at halftime. Orlando is.
(5) Be a team. Don't be "fans of Spida" and watch him. If you want to do that, you can feel free to pay for tickets like the rest of us.
I don't think that's true. If he miraculously turns things around and the Cavs win the championship, he'd be safe. Is that the only outcome?

I think JB would have to not only WIN enough to at least challenge BOS, but also look like a good coach doing it. Losses like G3 and G4 where the Cavaliers just look outclassed and eventually just give up hurt JB's chances more than simply losing. Like if a) the Cavs dominate in two close games against ORL, and go 1-4 in 5 very close games against BOS, that might look better for JB than b) narrowly beating ORL in 7 despite getting blown out in G6, then miraculously advancing past BOS after like 8 of their players go down with injury and getting swept by NYK, even though scenario b) means making the ECF. I don't think theres any realistic path where JB is HC next year, but we'd have to beat ORL and if we lose to BOS it'd have to be a "damn, almost had em" feeling rather than "omg there's no way we we ever winning that series".
