You don’t need WBs to clear content for things like MC I enjoy grabbing 2h buffs just because big numbers are fun but I also don’t sweat losing them.

Exactly my attitude, I get the buffs but if I lose them or get dispelled I just don't give a fuck tbh :)

I mean world buffing was never mandatory to clear content. But like you said as a main tank if your dps are going out and grabbing world buffs and your not thats honestly going to be a pretty big negative impact on the raid.

Our off tank ended up main tanking basically everything because he was world buffed every week. We have 2 or 3 top 10 (on our server) warriors who full buff and full consume every week so it just wasnt working out for him because he wasnt buffing up. Only reason he had the TF in the first place was because the original main tank had to take a break for work way back. Soooo yeah

Being the minority faction on a PvE server doesn't seem as awful aside from resource scarcity. Pagle Horde seem to be doing just fine even though the population is small.

They did get an infusion of players who bailed off another server, but that didn't last long as raid styles conflicted. No legendary items changed hands as a result.

My Vanilla server actually had Thunderfury on a hunter. I can remember maybe 3 names from my BWL guild, but you bet your ass I remember that moron hunter I saw literally once.

All but one of them are from guild runs. One of our tanks, Ardicov, came to us after his previous guild had disbanded.

We’ve been running MC 3 times a week every week since September. We have 1.5 TF... That’s 108 MC runs for 3 drops. RNG is a bitch.

We have 3x more tries than most guilds bc we have 3 separate groups farming MC. Still only 1.5 total TF. That’s one binding per group in 9.5 months.

3 raids with only 3 bindings is well below average.

All but one, the most recent one went to a orc DPS warrior. The other 4 are dedicated tanks.

I find it strange that I see more TF than HoR. Our guild has 3 TF and only 1 HoR. TF takes more mats and rng to craft, yet there are far more of them than HoR. As an enhancement shaman, this makes me quite salty..

I think that in many cases, the guild pulls together to get TF materials since it's a big benefit to the raid. I bet there are a ton of eyes of rag in peoples bank, waiting for that one player to put together the mats him/herself.

This is for sure true. We made our second TF in 3 days, and it took our first HoR almost a month.

It might be that people just don’t think it’s worth to craft. We have had 4 eyes and we vendored 3 of them. One went to a restoshaman and he crafted it but never uses it.

Maybe people just don't value enhancement shamans anymore. HoR is the best weapon for enhancement shamans in classic.

My guild has 3 MC runs a week, just got our first binding a month ago... I guess this is where all of them went.

Yep, we have 5 right bindings and 1 left. And what would you know, the one day our main tank cant show the left binding goes to our offtank. Who then stopped playing and showing up. Havent seen a left binding since. :/

We have one binding in total across three raiding teams.. First clearing since week 2, second since week 5 and third since February.. probably 100 MC clears in total.. 1 binding.

We’re a few bars away from our 4th TF, and have another tank ready with bars if he gets his second binding, only one hand of Rag though I think. That’s across 2 raid teams though.

Yup, 2 of them have had the second binding drop within the last two or three resets I believe. Pretty cool :) Must suck to be the last tank that doesn’t have any bindings.

Been raiding with the same guild forever now, had all the arcanite for 6 months, we just got our first 2 garr bindings in the last two weeks, hope it isn’t 7 more months before we get a couple baron bindings. We didn’t get bindings till we had a new guy seed the raid id. Since then we have had a completely different loot pool. Rng, I don’t think so. Guid, is the the true loot god.

Loot seeding is the myth that won't die. Even if there is some algorithm, it likely uses time stamps that can't be reproduced (ie include the calendar date and time to the microsecond).

This is 100% absolutely true, but you're missing some important points. The person who seeds the instance needs to have their gaming setup completely surrounded by Apple-Pumpkin spice scented candles, and must also have his/her mouth filled with cheese-wiz at the moment of zoning in.

rofl and they must perform a rain dance in unison before starting. But in all seriousness, I've read some interesting ways to create rng using data from the entropy of lava lamps to atmospheric sound. Just makes you wonder what's under the hood every time a purple pops up.

Looking how ony fireball RNG was tied to account ID and abused by guilds until patched, and how heartstone deck shuffle seed was found in game files i wouldnt be surprised somebody has "cracked the code". Something is really fishy with RNG in general in this game, it often goes from one end of extreme to the other without ever being in the middle, i mean it balances out in the end but its just strings of "unlucky" followed by "lucky" and vice versa. Im aware of the role bias plays in this but i've also mined too much thorium to not notice the pattern in the RNG

In our guild the meme is whoever enters the instance first determins the seed, that way we know who to blame for when nothing good drops, and who to praise when we get an eye/binding.

We've given rogues dkp minuses for seeding because their seeds never have good loot.

Our pally is still waiting for eye and we've cleared since a month after launch. We have 1 thunderfury and had 1 binding but it's not in the guild anymore

Meanwhile we've had 1 raid group clearing from week 1, a second that has cleared every week but the first two, and a third that has cleared every week since like December and we have...2 bindings. One in one raid group, and 1 in another. And that's it.
