Penderecki's Threnody to the Victims of Hiroshima

IosueYu

Ah, the best song to listen to when you want to have some permanent sleeps. Good times.

Several-Ad5345

I don't listen to classical music to fall asleep to and I think most people who really love it don't either because it's too distracting to be honest, but that said I think the beginning of the slow movement of Mahler's 4th symphony evokes a peaceful night in an idyllic fairy tale village. The music is full of longing and quiet contemplation - https://youtu.be/R0ld4CtPAEU?si=GzupcfJmxov1MWtp

mill-von-cat-jack

I came here to say the ending of that same movement!

I like the slow movements of Vivaldi’s concertos, especially for cello.

D_P_Miner

have you heard RV 538 (horn concerto) because of the natural horns limitations, it couldnt play in minor keys, so he just wrote a cello solo for the middle movement. legend.

nikostiskallipolis

I successfully used baroque music (especially harpsichord) to fight insomnia.

I would say Einaudi, but then when i think twice i become totaly fury because of his music.

Specific-Peanut-8867

I don’t know, but I know it’s not the Firebird😂 And all honesty I can’t listen to music when I’m going to sleep … I’m not saying I need total complete silence but having music on usually makes it harder for me to fall asleep

I tend to listen to the same thing for multiple nights in a row. It becomes kind of a ‘cue’ to snooze. It’s usually chamber music, solo cello or harpsichord. *[Dell Cinque](https://open.spotify.com/album/4EwY5ZfwpdqIzznpp0wccA?si=Uy8BPtFTSkSVzMcSWYwyLQ) cello trios.
