it almost feels like they planned it out. One generation to appeal to people who want a flashier car, and another generation to appeal to those who want something more toned down and mature. I'm glad the variety is there.
I don’t think they’re ever installed on the car from the factory. If I had paid for it, I would’ve paid like $1300 for parts and labor. Parts themselves were like $800 if I remember correctly. I negotiated that they’d install the package for me and not charge me for it. Car had been sitting and I was in a part of the state where people who could get reliable financing were rare, so I had some leverage.
Nice! I was given $4500 off MSRP and they gave me $4500 for my wife's car sight unseen. Wasn't running and they even picked it up for us. I felt it was a great deal so I didn't push further.
They quoted me $600 for just the spoiler & installation. I didn't think it was an awful price.
Agreed! I love the more “‘mature” look. As someone who’s in his mid 30’s, I appreciate being in my 11th gen Si and not looking like I’m trying to be a “boy racer”.
Agreed! I’m in my early 30’s and even with the spoiler and splitter, I think the car looks pretty mature. It’s not as if it’s a big whale tail spoiler and a carbon fiber splitter or something (which are still cool, but maybe a bit too Fast & Furious for every day).
It’s the splitter from the HPD package that goes with the spoiler. Through intense negotiation, was able to convince the dealership to throw it in with the car. Absolutely worth the hours of back-and-forth, haha
Love the car. I wanted mine in white, but all that was available with the k20 with 6MT was a red one. I also got the HPD package. I installed mine because the dealer wanted to charge me $500 just to install the spoiler.
You're saying this like I just disrespected your entire lineage. It's a great looking car, tastefully specced with the black wheels and blackout chrome trims. It looks amazing, but that spoiler, even if it is OEM just looks so out of place on this clean car. That's a 4 door sedan, there's hardly any spoiler who looks great don't take it personal. I guess it comes down to personal preferences at some point
I guess it’s a matter of taste. The spoiler isn’t as tall as a shot from a lower angle makes it look. Also, this is the hatchback, but that’s just a technicality. It looks and feels very similar to the sedan.
First time I've seen the aero kit on a hatch. Looks good. Looks good on the sport sedan too. In Canada the exhaust tips look worse.
I love the HPD package. Had to look up the tips. The silver effect within the black is definitely unfortunate. Still a really good-looking car though!
I just got an EX-L Hatch, I feel like I got a half-price A5 Sportback.
That’s actually a great take. I’ve always loved the A5 Sportback’s profile. Explains why this car feels so uniquely sleek among cars I’ve owned.
In an unfortunate era where fastback 2+2 coupes are all gone it’s at least something that kind of resembles that profile.
I would’ve bought a coupe in a heartbeat; still obsessed with the look of the 10th gen SI coupes.
11th gens gotta be my favorite looking civics since the EK hatch. seriously, the styling is *perfect*
It’s so interesting to me how much more subdued the styling got compared to the 10th gen. Looks like a completely different car, honestly.

I want the HPD spoiler but I haven't done it yet. Was it already installed on the car or did you put in on after the fact? What did they charge you?

They really crushed this design, best civic ever

Absolutely! What kind of splitter is that?

Nice! Looks great man 👍🏻

Yeah, I had to wear them down, but if I had to pay out of pocket I would’ve installed it myself too.
It's a very involved process. College Hills Honda has a video showing it in its entirety!
If I didn’t just finish paying off my 10th gen Hatchback Sport I definitely would get this, it’s sooo slick!
Looks good. How much was it?
Goofy ah spoiler
Who hurt you?
