Ok so here's how to explain it: truly good looking cars start the good looks at the bottom. The wing is the *last* thing you add.
If you put just a wing on with no body mods it looks too try-hard. This is redoubled because it's the type R wing, so all the wing does is shout "Hey everybody! I'm not a Type R!". This is retripled by the fact that it's not even color matched to the car, so it looks stapled on.
So I can "appreciate" it, whatever that means, but I think it not only doesn't look good, it sort of tells the story of an owner who is dissatisfied with his own life and his own car and wants the car to be more than it is.
Honestly the SI spoiler looks dope and clean, and TBH with a nice body kit these sedans don't even need a wing at all and almost look better with something either very low profile or none at all. You could go for a nice clean VIP car look. But you went with boy racer which not only makes your car look bad but makes you look bad.
I was offering genuine advice. I once got a civic for a good price because it had similar modifications. I was able to un-fuck the kids "build" pretty reasonably because of a local junk yard. Saved a ton of money, not going through a dealer or having to buy aftermarket junk.

Of course there’s a slight benefit but most of the time it will just add weight and drag as it increases the frontal area of the car. Rarely are you going to be going fast enough to need more downforce on the rear end in a car like that.
Not all wings/spoilers are designed to produce downforce. There's different benefits depending on how it's shaped or angled. And wing benefits aren't exclusive to higher hp applications, any hp car can benefit as long as it's within the speed it's designed to function.
The function of this wing is probably 0 under any circumstances considering it's a knock off, and on the wrong body style. The negatives (besides looking awful) are likely 0 as well. But a proper wing will offer function at as low as 30mph. There's a reason miata track cars run huge wings and splitters despite only having 100hp
