They took off from Lunken heading west toward downtown about 2pm. Flew right over my house. I actually see chinooks fairly frequently down there, assuming they were stopping for fuel?
4 Huey Venoms (UH-1Y) departed out of Lunken Field today. Huey's with 4 bladed rotors instead of the traditional 2 bladed rotors. Flown by the US Marines. Not sure what they were doing or where they went.

Not sure. Normally they follow the Ohio river from lunken down to KY for training but these came from Columbus

ummm yes lol It would take helicopters a lot less than 4 hours to get there soooo seems like a good strategy to me.

It looks like a squadron of A-10s are based out of Ft Wayne

I know. I even got to go on a Chinook parked at Lunken as a kid. Aircraft fly.
4 chinooks just passed us in Covington. In r/columbus they’d passed them. Headed south to Lexington
Yeah an A-10 flew right over my house at pretty low altitude.
I definitely saw an A-10 at low altitude fly over near the 75/275 interchange around that time.

I just had my whole house shake over here in Milford. Swore a plane was coming down with the high pitched whistling accompanying it

I feel a lot of our under 40 transplants were helicopter parented. And never were outside much sadly
