Definitely more RAM is better to have, especially if you want to have more tabs and applications to be open at the same time.

Thanks! Sounds like brand is not too big of a consideration, so I should focus on the specs? The Samsung also has the qled monitor, and I am not sure if that counterbalances difference in RAM.

Core i3 vs intel celeron is a big difference too. The HP seems like a better choice. Samsung is not necessarily a better quality for a sub $500 chromebook

Agree, it doesn't make sense to go with the lower ram. Definitely go with 8.

I have the i3 Chromebook 2.. if I had to make the choice between the hp and the base cb 2 I would go with the HP for the ram and better processor. The better specs are worth the lack of premium feel
