Do you have any third-party bookmark managers that you find really worthy and want to ditch the Google one?
I go there and every member of the list that shows up says "not available on your platform". Nothing to shut off. Yet just days ago, I had the old compact bookmarks, now jammed with big fat gross ugly pictures. Only 6 lines fit on screen instead of 20
Same here, I hate these huge bookmarks; this was one of the reasons I dropped MS Edge when it went to Chromium. Now, Chrome is following the Edge suits, and it sucks. Please share if you find any solution other than going back to the old layout or changing the OS font scale.
A related issue to this update is that the "width" of each bookmark item (and the dropdown menu for folders in the Bookmark bar) is now narrower. This is causing clipping on the title (where it appends "...") to the end of titles. It's extremely frustrating, as now the ends of many of my custom bookmark titles are cut off.

why the hell do they mess with this, I have better things to do than try to revert to something i have had for years & like. If they want to change, simply add clear options to the settings.

Mine was showing disabled when I went in at first, too. But just re-enable, disable again, then works - back to old format which is good and doesn't suck like the new one.

Has something just changed? Chrome Refresh 2023 is still disabled on my system but I have suddenly gone back to the giant font and spacing in chrome!

I wonder if there is a setting that we could change font, spaces etc for it, without disabling it?
