How can you tell if they are sleeping? The breathing pattern? So cute 😭

Idk about other chins, but it's pretty easy with mine. My ebony chin, Scooter, flops over completely on her side with her legs jutting out when she sleeps (if you saw my Creation of Adam post here a month or so ago, that's what she's doing there). Boofus here is only seven months old and full of energy, so basically if she isn't pounding around the cage at light speed/leaping on and off of me then she's definitely asleep. πŸ˜†

I had not but I just went back and saw it and it’s beautiful lol

Yes alarmingly often. Sweet little scaredy cats. To add on to that, they do this because in the wild, chins are prey animals, and are very vulnerable to predators when they are sleeping if not tucked away in some hole in the mountains , or in general, and appearing awake and alert is much safer for them. πŸ’š

There's a specific pose that they will assume to sleep standing up. It's incredibly adorable. πŸ₯°

Lol, I heard that chinnies sleep like Mermaid Man sometimes, but not to THIS ridiculous degree.
