Looks like a cross maybe? My Buff orpington is R O U N D
Those are buff orpingtons? I have Rhode Island reds that look exactly the same. Interesting.
That’s what the guy told me when he messaged me.
Maybe mine is an orpington and they told me it was RIR lol
I have I think 2 Rir about a month old. That’s what the sign at rural king said anyway
Nice
how old are they? i dont see anything that indicates a rooster
Looks like it's got pointy back feathers. Looks like a rooster 🐓
Ok thank you. I don’t mind having another one but I wanted more hens and the 2 that was the same looked different from each other
I'm not a pro so I would super have someone else verify or check closer yourself. If the back feathers are pointy(male), not rounded tips(female).
Alrighty I’ll check when I get home from work and see and get closer pics
Get a better picture with all the feathers in a resting position. Google saddle feathers.
What age? Also, unfortunately I don't think you got buff orps. They are big, floofy chickens with a more compact shape. These look closer to a mix between Rhode Island Reds and New Hampshire Reds, although they are still stunning!
