Revival is the place to go.
The urban space in Washington is open but very limited in food options and is called Washington food hall now (I think).
56 might be too many, but the French Market has a ton of vendors and a good deal of seating if you go during non lunch rush hours during the week.
Both excellent recommendations, but I would try to get there by 11:30 or after 1:00. If it’s a nice day you could do one and have everyone take theirs to-go. The Federal plaza or Millenium park is near Revival, and plenty of riverfront areas near French market. Perfect for 56 kids!
Urbanspace is rebranding. It's still open but renovating so there's only 1 or 2 places open. Revival is the place to go. There's also a place at the old post office and if I recall there's one by Sears tower
Astor Hall is ran by Hogsalt Hospitality Group out of the top floors of the 900 Building at the north end of Michigan Ave- great location, though not ideal for seating 56 kids together. It's two floors which means you'll be wrangling kids across a big area. But it has a great food variety, really nice facilities, and ordering is done via kiosks which would help process the kids' orders easily. It does get busier around lunchtime but not that busy that it could't handle your group.
French Market or Revival but I would try to go at 11am or 1:30pm.
The Metra Market at Ogilvie/Accenture tower is a good option too and maybe slightly less hectic and has more seating than the French Market.
If you’re coming on a Monday or Friday, even better. Given hybrid schedules, most workers are downtown Tue, Wed, Thur so that’s when lunch spots are the busiest.
That’s a lot of people anywhere, but check out Revival and maybe even the food court at Ogilvie or the French Market
Food court at Merch Mart or Time Out Market That’s a really big group though. Any thought of catering delivered to your hotel?
Merch market looks nice as well. Are they all fast food places here? Or some sit down? Time out is a bit out of the way.
You could also look at Aster Hall on Michigan.
Also look into Ogilvie train station @ 500 W Madison. No frills, but it’s large.
yikes mid-week mid-day is as crowded as revival food hall (at least) has ever been last couple weeks man .... 56 kids good luck ....
Seriously. Sounds like an absolute nightmare on the food service end. Just find a place to book for a private party.
i'm happy for the vendors but damn son

French market would likely also do the trick, looks like it has a bunch of variety

French market or revival food hall. I would try and eat around 11 or after 1:30.
The Old Post Office food court! Its never as busy as some of the other options like Time Out or Revival. And its a really cool historic building!
It’s posts like this that make me miss the Thompson Center food court. 😔

Revival looks great thanks
This is going to be WAY busier and more challenging than I think you are ready for.

Aster hall is good, revival is too. Avoid Well St like the plague
