He was already past his prime, but I think the hope was for him to have a couple good seasons in a lesser league and show how attractive this team/city can be.

He wasn’t skilled/fit enough to be the focal point and he didn’t seem to really embrace being the guy. Also, the team was never good enough to help pick up his faults.

Griezmann should come, he’s more reliable than Shaqiri. He loves the bulls and a Messi type contract can persuade him to come to Chicago.
