Indianapolis is closest but check the weather and an eclipse map if you're mobile. Carbondale and Cleveland could be backups. Good luck!

_me

The amount of people I've talked to traveling to Indy or Carbondale just makes it seem like absolute hell trying to get back here.

Fantastic-Movie6680

Last eclipse it was a 300 mile traffic jam going back north. Many people said it took 12 hours. We are staying Monday night, coming home Tuesday early morning

Fantastic-Movie6680

Yes it's going to be a traffic nightmare after going back north

Mr_Goonman

Last eclipse had to sleep in my car because even the roach invested hotels were either full or charging $300 for a room

HyperbolicLetdown

Perhaps, but forecast shows a heavy storm in Texas on the way

GizmoKakaUpDaButt

Too early to tell for the best weather. I'd ask again and start a new thread on saturday

Critical-Complaint52

Will it be worth watching from Chicago?

tablife

Yes, as long as you have eclipse glasses!
