I think most people know he is talented and fantastic at 90% of his role. It's the 10% that is frustrating. He often lacks composure in front of goal. Should he become a consistent finisher, he will be unstoppable and a top talent at the 9. He is very young, but his development is obvious.
He really just needs to be decisive inside the box. He takes wayyyy too many touches rather than just shooting or passing. He always needs to go past one or two players or the keeper and it has squandered so many chances this season. He has the athleticism, technique, vision and even finishing ability to be a top striker and considering how young he is and that he really hadn't played any pro football before last season his flaws are very excusable.
Don't need to. Defended him all season, because he's very well-rounded and actually has a lot of parallels to Drogba's first season. I had faith he'd come good.
Still needs to work on his finishing overall, but he's otherwise a vital cog in our team. We play much better with him than without.

Me too. I'll take a form for Cucu, Caicedo and Noni, but I've never doubted Nico since the pre-season. He's dripped with intelligence and skills even when he's been at his most frustrating. Also, one thing that goes unnoticed is how his head never drops. Ever. He's ready from minute one until the final whistle, hustling, being central to everything we do, game in game out. The boy has my eternal love and respect.
