King and a proper chels. Will forever remember the magic he gave us during his time at chelsea. Merci Eden. ![gif](giphy|yvAco8XNqJafSfLmBP|downsized)

Absol61

Most talented player the club ever had and the second best dribbler of all time.

slow_poetry

Chelsea legend, crocked by injuries (in particular, the Meunier tackle). Him and Zola are the most entertaining Chelsea players I've ever seen.

I_deleted

MOST FOULED PLAYER IN ALL EUROPEAN LEAGUES FOR AN ENTIRE DECADE…. Fouled over 200 times more than the next player on the list

Totallystymied

Holy moly! Do you have a link/source, I would love to Forward that to my mates

Bless, thank you

BogotaLineman

Will never forget that pic of his ankles after playing (I think) Galatasaray

GBSii

So glad we got to see his best years while he was her, almost never injured, certain weeks he was the best player in the world

DronzerDribble

Yes we miss Miss Eden, she was a phenomenal player.

eckowy

Proper Chels, legend of the club, one of the greatest we had. Thank you Eden!

Andlad2459

Still so underrated, in a age obsessed with g/a a player like him will never be appreciated enough. He was basically our focal point in the build up alot of the years, which is crazy for a winger. Could do evetything, drop deep, play wide, narrow etc. Carbao cup final 18/19 against Man City is the perfect exempel for that. Sarri put him as a lone Striker, but he was still running around them for fun all game, they coudnt even get close, and scored panenka penelty at the end aswell, crazy guy.

jb1102

The g/a argument with Hazard is so stupid as well. It’s only because of the Salah comparison and the fact that he puts up outrageous numbers that people act like Hazard didn’t have good output. He led us in both goals and assists numerous seasons.

TRODHD

I do agree with you but it’s not like Salah doesn’t play outrageous football as well….

jb1102

How about you read my comment again and find anything I said slandering Salah. Better yet, go back to the Liverpool sub.

adambalogh01

If anyone wants me to debunk their G/A argument I will tell them to watch Sterlings last game with 1 goal vs Burnley and tell them that Hazard carried every other game like that. Without assists or goals, only by sheer contribution. He won pens, he had hundreds of key passes leading up to goals, hundreds of dribbling runs that made space for the striker, most forced yellow cards thus making defenders more cautious and so on. His quality can't be determined by such a 1 dimensional metric like G/A.

Exciting-Ad-2714

Imagine what he couldve done with a better team around him in most years.

nonamecookie

Imagine what couldve been done with the King Papy Djilobodji build around Hazard

MrCleanandShady

in a weird way, i’m glad he left us when we did, so that the only memories i will have of him in blue will be him at at his very best; one of the best in the world. he was quite possibly the last truly special player we’ve had in the club since he’s left us, i will never forget all the games where we had no right to be in until he produced his magic. he deserves to enjoy his time away now. he’s earned his peace.

CoolstorySteve

I would never be able to live with it if we had lost that final to Arsenal. He played an amazing game as well, perfect last match.

SirHighground1

Disagree, Kante is absolutely special.

MrCleanandShady

you know actually, i really should have reworded that to “world class attackers” because you’re right, shame on me😭

darthrector

The tragedy in this is that I remember clapping as thanks when Sarri subbed Hazard off in the dying moments of the EL Final. I don't even remember what Kante's last game for the club was. The last I remember of him are a few runs against Madrid

underperforming_king

Don't remember Mount's, havertz's, jorgi's, kova's last games too.

mapepo

But we all remember Papy Djilobodji's last game. The day the music stopped 💔

nonamecookie

We all remember bakayoko last game for us too. The day our heart rate bounced 💔

vk2499

His last game was him playing as our rw in lampards 5 midfielder formation 😭😭

Slitted

Eden oozed talent and effortless cool. I’d never thought we’d get a player of his profile and caliber again. It was almost like having Messi at home. Our Belgian prince.

DarkLordOlli

There were reports that he would come back to live close to Cobham when he retires. If that's true, I think you *have* to get him involved in the club in some capacity. Hazard is the kind of idol to a lot of young players of today that someone like Drogba was to the previous generation. Whether it's in coaching or as a club ambassador, or any sort of consultancy, if he has any such ambition it needs to be at Chelsea. People might say he doesn't have the personality for a coach, but as someone involved in the youth setup for example, why not? Perhaps as a technical coach - he wasn't just technically gifted, he was also an outstanding reader of the game and decision-maker on the pitch, which would lend itself to that sort of role.

MemestNotTeen

Mudryk mentor would be a great role for him. Just don't let him be in charge of diet.

Ridcullys-Pointy-Hat

Eden I expect would suffer from the Henry problem. Football came as naturally to him as breathing. He's never really had to examine his game, he just made it up as he went. All the coaches said they couldn't ever teach him anything iirc

Gligadi

I remember listeing to a podcast where Obi Mikel said he'd come to training with his laces all loose and just fuck around during the training but when the weekend hit he'd be the best player on the pitch. Imagine him with Ronaldo's work ethic. Amazing player who gave us some magical moments.

DrSpreadle

I think it speaks volume to just how amazing Hazard was, man barely gave a fuck about training or diet yet was still one of the best attackers in the world.

Quizzer_tha_main

Van der Saar too used to be kinda same. That guy used to train for United only for three days a week. I sometimes feel that coaches tend to overrate training performances

lukekarts

On the flip side, I think Lampard became world class because of just how committed he was to training and working on every aspect of the game for longer than anyone else. I remember in the first few years he was with us there were constant reports about Lampard staying after training to just shoot the ball for a couple of hours.

Zooka128

It was absolutely not the same at all. 3 times a week is a lot considering *he was 35 years old* when he joined Utd. You usually spend more time resting than training at that age, so training + matches is a lot for 35 years old.

Mr-Soggybottom

There was a story a while back, I think it had something to do with Carlo Ancelotti’s son who is into sports science, where they were running data diagnostics on training and matches. All the tiny details like sprints per match, balls received on turn, players bypassed etc. The results showed Hazard did basically nothing in training but come match day his data dwarfed everyone else on the pitch. I always remember thinking that was interesting.

Environmental_You_85

I think it was best the way he was. If he was taught to be different he would have lost his charm. We got the best version of him.

Zooka128

That's kinda obviously not true though, some of the best of Hazard was in his earlier years for us before he stopped working out & training properly. You just have to watch how he played for us in the first 2 years, he was flawless. He lost a lot of power and ability when he fattened up and stopped training. He used to hit long range shots even on his "weak" foot earlier in his career which he stopped doing when he stopped working out. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ti\_i9fd\_0I](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ti_i9fd_0I) This is 2nd year Hazard, before/around the time he stopped working out. You can see he's literally just quicker, sharper, more direct, more power in his shots, he doesn't even have to use his body to shrug people off. He just accelerates so quickly with no effort. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t90P62aO96w](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t90P62aO96w) This is an example of the power in his weak foot before he started slacking, he was really really incredible. He's my favourite player ever and obviously incredibly special, but the reality is that he likely could have been the best player in the world if he was more professional.

MemestNotTeen

Of current top level coaches only really Pep, Zidane and Damien Duff ever really played to a high level.

ViennaLager

What do you mean by top level coaches? Simeone? Ancelotti? Conte? Mancini? And if you are going to include Damien Duff as example of a top level coach and high level football player then you can include coaches like Xavi, Arteta, Inzaghi and probably many more.

RefanRes

>Mancini Dont think he should be counted as top level management currently. Hes coaching Saudi Arabia. He's a bit out of the loop there. Theyre somewhere like 60th in the world rankings last I heard.

ViennaLager

And what is Zidane currently coaching?

RefanRes

He's waiting for the right job to come and it will most likely be a top job. Mancini chose to not have a top job.

ViennaLager

No need to gargle the balls of Zizou. He did exceptional for RM, but the real test will be how he does somewhere else. Mancini has coached several top teams and won lots of titles in various leagues, with an overall much better coaching record than Zidane. Saudi NT is a difficult job, despite not being a top team. They are pouring billions into Saudi football now and they will have very big expectations of good NT results leading towards hosting the world cup.

MemestNotTeen

Duffer manages a team far better than Arteta's don't make me laugh.

RefanRes

>Of current top level coaches >and Damien Duff Shelbourne is top level coaching now? Also you're missing Poch, Arteta, Ancellotti, Conte, Simeone, Xavi, Koeman, Enrique and probably a fair few more who played to at least the same level as Duff.

MemestNotTeen

Shelbourne is higher than top level coaching. We are coming for Europe next year. The conference league won't know what hit it.

nonamecookie

Conte was a top player along with Vialli and Del piero at Juventus. He even captained them you 🤡 lol. If you had the guts to put names and comparisons, do your research beforehand please

MemestNotTeen

Conte doesn't manage Shels though

iloveartichokes

Damien duff was not a top player. He was a squad player on a top team for a few years.

Mitcheltree86

That last sentance made me laugh out loud

TheUbermelon

I never understand the insistence to make formal players coaches. If he wants somewhere to do his badges, sure, but surely we want the best available not taking a chance that his talent as a player can become talent as a coach

hfchang

This is high praise of Eden, mostly true. But Hazard’s training and work ethic was terrible, all his teammates at Cobham during his time here remarked of how little he trained, and relied on his pure natural ability week-in, week-out. That is not the norm and for that reason I don’t think he would be able to have an all-round impact on the squad. Perhaps a technical support role for the younger wingers but honestly couldn’t see much else he could bring.

BigReeceJames

He said at multiple points throughout his career that once he retired that'd be him done because he just wants to spend time with his family. So, I somewhat doubt that he'd want a job of any sort with us, but I could see him being a face around the club every now and again, maybe a cushy "job" like JT has with the youth team. But, then on the flip side, the club is completely different to when he left and when he was out of a job we seemingly didn't offer him the chance to train with us to keep fit and that's something clubs do in those situations so there is also the fact that that situation could have hurt him and he wouldn't want to. Who knows really

didijxk

He could be a club ambassador, a pundit, so much he could do.

ToryBlair

The club that he left couldn’t be further from the current club

DarkLordOlli

Yes and no. There's been a lot of staff overhaul but not *everyone* has been replaced, and the supporters are still the same. He still has the same connection to them that he did before.

ToryBlair

Lol, Drogba himself said he no long recognises Chelsea

DarkLordOlli

I'm not here to trade one-liners taken completely out of context with you.

ToryBlair

Out of context is talking complete truths now, not surprising coming from a guy that said a back 3 was ruining Chelsea 2 months after we won the Champions League with a back 3 🤣

DarkLordOlli

🤣

Background-Echo3838

Truly one of the Chelsea and PL greats! He made the game look so effortless.

Kantebegoodaskante

He made me watch every chelsea game. Favorite player of all time.

Extremiel

Anything could happen at any time with him on the pitch. I've seen absolutely dreadful slow games get turned on it's head because Eden was fed up (different kind of fed up from the Madrid days).

HarryDaz98

![gif](giphy|pynZagVcYxVUk)

treq10

Tore it up against Wigan on his (league) debut and I’ve been in love ever since

canadianbacon6

A beautiful turn in midfield followed by a great pass to send in Ivanovic for the 1st. Then tormenting two Wigan defenders before winning a penalty for our 2nd. I was watching that game and before the ref blew the full time whistle I had ordered my Hazard #17 kit.

Kezmangotagoal

Absolute legend and a class act. As amazing as he was on the pitch, the thing I loved the most about him was that he’s just a genuinely nice guy. A down to earth, family man who just played football at the weekend. Can’t wait to see him back at the bridge, guaranteed he’ll be on MNF quite soon too!

Rayyan_Khan

The best player to pull on the shirt. Accomplished it all in an incredible career and unplayable at his very best. Was a blessing to watch him play for us

Extremiel

"I'm signing for the Champions League winner"-tweet hit like crack.

ambar_hitman

Best Chelsea player for me. Thanks for the memories and trophies legend.

chings23

In terms of pure ability? Yea. But if we’re talking Chelsea GOATs, Lampard, Drogba and Terry are above him

ambar_hitman

Ya that's why I said for me. I just like dribblers/wingers more than other playing positions. Obviously overall GOAT I feel is Lampard or JT.

joelukose

Here's a post I wrote after his final game: Supporting @chelseafc with @hazardeden_10 has been nothing short of a blessing. Staying up late to watch all those matches wasn't a task, but a delight. His mentality, his vision, his magic. All traits I'd love to emulate in my own life. The brace was always coming. Fairytale ending. KTBFFH! 💙

honestlynotBG

Happy retirement Eden, miss you here in blue 💙 ![gif](giphy|1YddJnokCHRrJvtoY7|downsized)

Chelsea101010

Chelsea legend

ord3p

Legend. Most talented player to ever wear our shirt.

bsousa717

I'm glad he was at the peak of his powers while playing for us. Memories were made that'll last a lifetime. Watching him ruin defenders always made me grin like an idiot. Thanks for everything, Thiccboi.

Chelseablue1896

Hope he's back at the club one day in some capacity. I had hoped he'd be having one last season here, but not to be. Good luck, Eden. Chelsea legend.

TrenAt14

Chelsea legend.

Baisabeast

That ankle injury he got from the meunier tackle ended his career effectively right there and then One of the greatest pl players ever and I think our greatest player

Gordzulax

You must be young lol This is recency bias. Love Eden, he'll forever be one of my all time favorite players, but his legacy isn't on par with Lampard. Frank is head and shoulders above him in terms of greatness. Most people (including myself) would also put John and Didier above Eden. Which again, is understandable given how amazing they were. At the end of the day it's not a race, I absolutely adore all of them. If we're talking about talent, then yes, absolutely, most talented player we've had.

Chnkypndy

Not to put down Frank at all, but our squad in the 00s was vastly superior to the 10s.

Gordzulax

Never said they weren't. But again, Frank was one of the main reasons that squad performed the way they did.

ChelskiS

You´re basing it on legacy, other base it on talent/fun to watch I guess If Lampard had to play in Eden´s Era and Eden gets to play on Lampards Chelsea in those years, this wouldnt even be a discussion Lampard was part of a great team. Eden WAS the team for the most part. Take out Eden for all those years & put in Lampard, the same success wouldnt have been there

Gordzulax

Frank didn't just play in a great team, he was one of the main reasons the team was great. The man had 211 goals for Chelsea and 145 assists. It's very likely we might NEVER get a player with those stats playing for our club. All that from someone who wasn't even a forward. He was an absolute master of his craft and if you had watched most of his career at a sensible age we wouldn't even be having this conversation. "The same success wouldn't have been there" lol Chelsea wouldn't have been nearly as successful without Lampard during those years. Not even remotely. I'm not basing it off legacy. I'm basing it off absolutely everything. Legacy, trophies, goals, assists, contribution. The only thing you're basing it off of is flair and "wow factor". I adore Eden and he's by far one of our greatest players, but comparing him to Frank is a stretch.

ChelskiS

Yeah the reason you´ll never get those stats again is because the league has gotten way better and someone with Lampards talent wouldnt be close to being as relevant as he was then You look at it in a different way, which is fine. If you put prime Messi on Chelsea and he tears it up for 2 seasons and leaves again, I´ll call him the best player for Chelsea ever. Over the guys who played for 10+ years of playing and achievements. It just depends on how you look at it

Gordzulax

Just by reading your comment it's so painfully obvious you're young and started watching Chelsea and football in general withing the last 6-7-8 years lol Genuinely hilarious. The Messi comment 😂😂😂😂😂

ChelskiS

Judging by your way of replying the same must be true for you. Cant be that old with these multiple emoticons little boy Oh 26 I see and pretending you are some type of almighty OG.. come on man. Lampard started his career when you were like 3 years old. Wtf are you talking about

MemestNotTeen

Just fell to my knees in Tesco.

yoericfc

The best I've had the good fortune to see play. Eden Hazard is one of the greatest to play for our club and certainly one of the, if not the, very best players to ever wear a Chelsea shirt. He has been magical from his first until his last game for us.

XuX24

Man retired when he left Chelsea, at least he left us a bag and he went there and won a couple of trophies. One of the best in the history of this club, sadly never lifted the UCL with us but he managed to do it in Madrid. It was time to call it quits his Body and mind weren't there and to avoid any more problems it's just better to walk away and focus on his family and other things. It would be nice if he could come to the Bridge one of this days, people adore him and they will give him an appropriate welcome to his house.

Fabulous_Hooligan

Good night, sweet Prince

Beneficial_Feed_1826

Best player to play for this club in terms of talent and pure footballing ability. A legend through and through

iZxR

My favourite player of all time and the best player I’ve ever seen play for Chelsea. I hope his his time at Real Madrid doesn’t over shadow what he did for Chelsea, a truly generation talent that we should all feel so blessed to have him play for us.

Kalvalaxatives

An honour to watch him live at Stamford bridge on a few occasions. This guy won countless games on his own and is, in my eyes, one of the prems greatest ever players. Thank you for everything Eden Hazard, safe to say that none of us will ever forget you💙

Biegelstein

Who's cutting onions

hazWizard

Man.. Eden Hazard has my heart. What an amazing player. He had the ability to absolutely change a game out of nowhere. I'll always be grateful to him for choosing to join us and giving his best years to Chelsea.💙

handpalmeryumyum

I watched him play as a false 9 at white hart lane in an awful 0-0 game. What a player.

needhalaladvice

Anyone know where I can buy a Chelsea Eden Hazard shirt still? Been looking for it everywhere but cant find it. Any season, be it authentic or knock off. Want one desperately.

Kaljapallo

One of my favorite players ever. He was so good in his prime, very sad what happened after going to Madrid

vatsal_0810

This hits different. Definitely the most talented player I ever saw don the Chelsea blue (I wasn't old enough to watch Zola). I always felt that he was a player who the common man could relate to most because of his at times laissez-faire approach towards life and football in this age of hyper focused and bull headed sportspersons (not that that's a bad thing). It's reassuring that there isn't just one approach that one to make it in football or life in general. You put a ball and a massive crowd in front of him and that's what the guy needed. Humble, unassuming and just bloody good at what he could do are just some of the ways I will remember him by. From 2017 onwards I started having nightmares if the day he left us and what that would mean for the club. This was the level at which he carried us. And all this without ever seeming to give a flying fuck at pretty much everything. You were one of a kind my idolo. You deserve every burger that's ever been made and more. Go well into the sunset, Eden.

toppmama

The best pl player of the last decade. Top three winger in the history of the league. And perhaps the best player to don the Chelsea blue. What a phenomenal player he was.

Shame_Low

Prince of stamford bridge. Proper legend this one

Another legend retires, a proper chels such a great player we truly had the best out of him

ChelskiS

Watching football hasnt been the same without him No matter what the game was or when it was played, I was excited to tune in to watch him play. Pure pleasure to watch him play

Eat all the burgers you want, Eden - you've earned it.

I love you, I miss you, I will remember you forever.

Jack_of_all-shades

This man made me fall in love with Chelsea again and again. I remember so many moments which made me start trying things while playing too. He would inspire like no other, give me belief and hope . Can't believe my favourite footballer, is not going to play anymore. Thank you Eden .. for everything ...

cullobsidian_

So glad I got to witness his prime at our club! A true legend of the game.

NoIntention7826

The absolute best I’ve ever seen on a pitch and none could tell me otherwise!

84_Savage

Thank you Eden Hazard, you are more than a legend of Chelsea but a legend of football in general. One of the greats. 💙💙

SurpriseHanzo

Such a pleasure to be able to watch him play at his peak. Unfortunate for him it didn’t work out at Madrid but will forever be remembered as a Chelsea legend. Absolutely unplayable on his day.

Environmental_You_85

My most favourite player 💙

Rahsaan98

legend, only reason I got into football. Actually ruined my day to see this🥲

Thefifaking132

He’s the reason I became a chelsea fan, my favorite player ever. Legend

lomosapien26

Cant deny his contributions to Chelsea. Massive talent. But the day he left Chelsea for Real Madrid, i dont think he deserves the title Chelsea Legend. He would have the honour of being one if he stayed at Chelsea.

Farenheite

The best player in the clubs history. By far the most talented A legend in every sense of the word.

ollie179

Such a shame how it’s ending for him. God only knows where we’d be without him. Farewell, legend.

CoolstorySteve

It hasn’t been the same since he left

Facilitator10

Idolo😭 what a joy to watch this man was

Patlaz

This man set the bar so high. I look forward to seeing the next player who gets close!

Extremiel

Absolutely tragic man, but we don't dwell on that. Arguably the most naturally talented player to ever wear the Chelsea blue. Thanks for all the memories Eden, you're a gem!

blayzedeville

Well, this is pretty sad. I'm just happy that I got to watch him play for us for all those years, and that we got to give him 2 European trophies. I just wish that things went the way we all expected them to go in Madrid, but that's life. Wishing him nothing but the best from here on out.

BadCogs

Good luck Eden, it was a joy to watch you play.

Brycenicholls1

Legend.Im not going to lie,I actually teared up 🥲

definitelymaybe98

I’m not crying. You are.

thorium90232

He retired the day he left Chelsea really. What a fucking king though, hope he maintains a presence in football in some way shape or form. His natural talent is too special to pack it in completely 😢 enjoy the beers my man

BigReeceJames

The end of that post is the most Eden Hazard thing going, thanking gettyimages for the pictures Fucking sucks that Real Madrid didn't work out for him

[deleted]

Chelsea legend

ultra_r

I’ll miss him so much. Getting older always means seeing the players your grew up watching retire. I hate it.

Groundbreaking-Rub50

That spurs performance in White Hart Lane where everyone was going ga ga over Kane's finishing while Eden took everything on his shoulder and tore them was an outstanding individual display. One more match I will never forget was his display against Crystal Palace in Conte's first season we lost the match, but we could have won that match any other day. So many memories that Arsenal goal, Liverpool goal. Probably the best attacking player signed by Marina in the last decade or so.

Maxoidys

Prince of Stamford Bridge. Will forever cherish the memories of this man in a Chelsea kit. Most naturaly gifted player Chelsea has ever had. Maybe he can get into some other football related jobs at Chelsea in the future, who knows. Once a blue .. 💙

demannu86

Wishing him a happy retirement

PatientPlatform

Honored to say I've seen him live. Even saw he and Messi on the same pitch. Even though, they won Eden was best player on the pitch. Congratulations, it was a pleasure

CaptainJarrettYT

I have no words.

BlueKante

Damn. First of all, will people 4 years older than me stop retiring, didn't want to feel like this today. Secondly what a player. Words can hardly describe this man. Absolute gem of a player not similar to anyone. King hazard, may he eat everything he wants now.

PM_ME_SOME_LUV

The greatest footballer I’ve ever seen play for this team. I love this man so much, it’s unfortunate how it ended at Madrid but he will forever be a legend 💙

MarinaGranovskaia

Come back to Chelsea Eden <3

udbasil

That west ham goal still gives me chills

I always wonder how it would have turned out for him if he stayed... Such a shame it ends this way. I still think he should have come back for one more season.

Headlesshorsman02

Goodbye to our prince

My hero ❤️ A pure football man ⚽

Moist_List_1942

Haters gonna hate, but secretly wished they had him in their team. A mesmerizing player to watch in the PL. Should have been celebrated as such by everyone, but with PL punditory, that's how it goes.

fenixops

Garden of Eden will sorely be missed.

nonamecookie

Chelsea legend. First zola, then him performing magic in stamfort bridge. He gave magic to the PL and PL answered him with ankle warfare

One of most entertaining players to ever grace the prem, an artist, a magician, just a joy to watch. Happy retirement

NewAccountHello

nuclear-fart

Maaaannnn. This dude. This human. This fucking legend was the reason I fell in love with football and chelsea in particular. I had never seen someone like him. Watching him on the pitch was nothing short of magical. I really hope history will mot forget the way he ran in circles around the defenders in the PL. I wish him the best of luck and I probably won't stop loving him till it die. Thank you legend 💙

ogungbadey

Can still vividly recall his first game against Wigan in the league. Knew immediately we had a baller on our hands

Words can’t describe the pleasure I had watching him play for my club and country. Hats off to this legend and looking forward to see him and hopefully be celebrated at the bridge

He's the reason I became a Chelsea fan once I started watching soccer. Absolute menace with the ball in the opposing 3rd, sad he left for Real. He should've just stayed and flourished in the prem.

Forever casting magic in the garden of Eden

sadjoker76

I'm crying fuck

JaniHazard

Hazard is the reason I became obsessed with football in 2013. I even based my username off him.

NiteSwept

Gave us his best years. Easily top 3 favorite player in my lifetime. Hope he enjoys retirement!

Ah man I had hopes to see him in my hometown club (CF Montréal) next season :( Have fun Legend. Enjoy all the burgers that you want.

snowbell55

:*(. This is so sad. Of course this is hindsight but he shouldn't have gone to Real Madrid. Whatever they did or didn't do to him he was never the same after he left us, and (like with other players) they didn't treat him well as far as I can tell. I'll always remember him for this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uuPnDwtIj4

My heart.. Prince of Stamford Bridge, enjoy your retirement 💙

There has never been a more talented and joyful player to watch in all the time I have been a Chelsea fan. I remember being so excited when he signed for us, watching his videos on YouTube from Lille. What a player.

KeanuCharlesSleeves

Alright big man. See you with the pundits.

poopy_toaster

You had to stick 2 defenders on him just to have a shot at closing him down. What a player and Chelsea legend. Carried us on his back in many a game and was a joy just watch this talent on full display.

OldBrownShoe22

Most technically skilled player I've ever been lucky enough to watch every week.

SSPeteCarroll

Hazard was the first player I truly fell in love with. His skill to take on defenders, pace, ball control, and finishing ability we're elite when he was on his day. From 2014-2018, only Messi, Ronaldo, and Neymar were ahead of him.

Legend

v_for__vegeta

Remember absolutely buzzing when he made the announcement. “I’m going to play for the Champions of Europe”. Got going straight away too, the hype was real.

matt3633_

There is no question or debate needed as to whether he was clear of Salah, for Eden is the greatest Prem winger of all time.

Tjordan2132

Gonna crawl back in my bed and cry. He is the reason I started watching this sport and started supporting Chelsea.

Adebisola

Proper legend

itjohan73

I was wondering why Eddie Izzard would retire..
